This was the new fanfic I was talking about. Pairing: JackxAnn, SkyexMuffy
Plot: There are few times where people who steal things are never caught. After so many times and so many failures, the police give them special titles. Skye, who lives in Forget-Me-Not Valley, was one of them. Labeled the "Phantom Thief" He tried to leave his life of crime behind and start over.
If only he could.
For a second special thief has entered the valley. One who's just as good as him.
Guised as a teen mourning for his dead father, Jack Harvest enters Forget-Me-Not Valley to take over his farm and start a new life. When he meets Skye on the way over to it, sparks fly between them, something only two masters of theivery could give when they sense a worthy rival.
Jack Harvest, aka the "Silver Gale" Theif
Skye, aka the "Phantom" Thief
When a string of theiveries are commited around F-M-N valley and the neighboring Mineral Town, the fingers are pointed towards the two newcomers. Sassy and tomboyish police detective Ann will do anything to find out who did it and bring them to justice.
The only problem was that both men's alibi's are perfect for each case.
Can these two thieves get over a rivalry and clear their names before it's too late, or will this third thief complete a master plan which is whispered through the wind as one word?
"Chaos......."

Facinating story! The whole police Ann thing seems a bit off character, but who cares? I wish you luck.

Does it really seem out of character? Ann is always tomboyish, and hotheaded at times, but also caring. Put those qualities together and you think of a police person. So, dectective are just as good.

sends me a PM please.
Anyways, I know each variation of the HM girls has their own personality, but I think in every version, Ann is still the fiery tomboy we've seen her be.

ask Cliff. He's the one who is always telling her to be more ladylike. and we know how that turns out.

I think when Cliff and Ann are married, if you go into the Inn early you'll get a scene where Cliff tells her to act more ladylike. It's been a while since i played so i can't remember all the details. By the way Zero your story sounds pretty interesting. Detective/police like fics always catch my attention.

It's been a while since i played so i can't remember all the details. point taken (though, i still don't think cliff's single opinion is much to go on). but another fact to look at is that zero is using hm: ds. i don't think any scenes show ann being a fiery tomboy in there. =/

I'm using the fact that you can hook up the FoMT Ann to come over. Plus, I think her dad also says how she should be more ladylike.

Quit making things so complicated. It's pretty much an AU anyways.
