So, since a lot of discussion is popping up elsewhere and I just finished it for the first time AND I'm going back through, not to mention my hubbie's finally playing it...
So, they DID get around to translating the sequel to Fire Emblem 7? But they changed the gameplay???

Not quite. Fire Emblem 6 is actually the sequel to Fire Emblem 7 while Fire Emblem 8 is a totally new story. FE6 wasn't translated, but FE 8 was. ...

Mission 18XX is hard to get. I always get that guy down to like 3 HP before he teleports on me. This is after I have four people attack him, my 3 archers fire on him, and had all my axe users use the hand axe on him. His evasion is too damn good

That the one you have to kill the guy in one turn? Heard about it, that one's going to fun I can already tell...

It's not that simple. While playing as Lyn, you have to get Nils to level 10 I believe, then when you play as Hector you have to kill that guy in one turn. Best thing to do is get Snipers right away, or at least make your best warriors super accurate.
My best team: Eliwood, Hector, Lyn, Sain, Guy, Karel, Legault, Dart, you get the picture.
I don't really use magicians at all, to me it's more of a hindrance unless it's Priscilla or a magician who has the psychic staff that reaches to abnormally long distances.

I GOT HIM! Go Eliwood, I thought I was doomed after Lyn didn't hit him, and Eliwood went and crit him down to 7!!! Ahh, I was so happy about that one! Now, onward to 700XP in one chapter! XD

Lucky. Even weapons with high acc and crit still tend to miss that guy. I can never kill him with Eliwood except for one time where I got an almost perfect weapon user only team.

Yeah, seriously, Eliwood never does these sort of things for me either, he's a rad story character, but as a fighter...
I'm trying to use him more this play round, I mean I thought myrmidon's were useless, but I started really using Guy and let me tell you, he can be SCARY!

Guy can be one of the best when you use the RNG to your advantage (Random Number Generator). All of them can actually. When your character is about to level up, see what you get, then turn off the game if you're not approving of the stat increase. When you turn the game on again and get that same level up, the stat increase will be different. Just keep doing it until you get the stats you want. I got a lot of powerful characters from using the RNG to my advantage.
Sain especially. Sain is always a beast when I use him. Hector sucked balls until about lvl 10 because of poor accuracy and speed, and Lyn was pulling off crits after crits. Eliwood was in the middle, but became a master of destroying most opponents after lvl 8 or so.

Yeah, Hector has to be nursed a LITTLE, especially when playing his mode in the first chapter, but once you get him up, he truly in the god of Fire Emblem...
Also, managed the 700XP, AND got all the items buried in the sand! Seriously, after I learned the power of arena's, I'm murdering the maps. And I'm not even using the whole Nini's Grace cheat! *feels totally OP and doesn't give a rip!*

I don't do the arena cheat, mostly because I feel like I'm being a total cheapass by doing so. I manage to get all my units leveled up just fine (the lowest I have currently is a lvl 9 Wyvern Rider, aka guy with green hair), the rest are lvl 15 or above, or already on their second class and just beginning to lvl up that. Eliwood's lord form looks funny just because his horse is so fat, but Lyn's lord form is probably the best. Up close with swords, or snipe away with bows. BTW, if anyone likes manga, they do have a fire emblem, translated manga that takes place during Roy's game. It's not focused on him, rather someone else, but it crosses over with the game eventually. it's at www.onemanga.com . On the search bar just put up Fire Emblem

OOhhhhh, must check that!
And the first time fully through the game, I didn't really use the arena so much, just a little to level a couple of people, mainly my healer and Eliwood, but this time...seriously, it's SO broken!

You can do the same thing in Shadow Dragon when you're playing as Marth.
BTW, in the first (and possibly for a few more) chapters in the fire emblem manga, Bern is known as Belun (or something close to that spelling), because of japanese way of saying it, 'L' and 'R' are replaced. In a lot of translated mangas, the first couple of chapters, characters who have an 'L' in their name usually gets changed to 'R' as time goes on (Zoro from One Piece is an example, he was called Zolo for a long time early in the series)

Yeah, like people sometimes call Raguna in Rune Factory Laugna. It's quite interesting.
With arena's being so broken, I think I'll actually be attempting Hector Hard Mode, if just for bragging rights.
