I have finally completed the absurdly boring cooking festival task which is to help the mayors of the towns get along. They have 10 hearts, and get along great!

Now that I have completed that task, do I have to continue participating in these festivals? Is there a reward after Mithril ore? Or can I just skip it, and use the day to gather herbs and junk?
