Huh...Got bored and wrote more. It's not good...I kind of killed one of my plans...
Chapter Thirty-one: Getting To Know...Mr. Snobby
I cried for a while and finally I felt him kiss the top of my head. I pushed him away and started back the way I came. He grabbed my arm again.
"Let go." I snarled. But all he did was smirk and pull me along as we went further into the forest. "Hey...I thought you said this place was haunted..."
"As long as I am here with you. You will be safe." He said. He looked back at me, and I struggled to get away. Who is this guy? He's feeding me all this crap about how 'oh you will be safe...blah blah blah...because I will protect you.' No...I don't think so. I'm a big girl...and he can mind his own buisness. If the spirits would hurt me...then they would hurt him also. Right?
"Let me go!" I said sternly. But...he didn't. He kept on draggong me along. "Did you NOT hear me? I said let me go!"
"Oh...I heard you babe." He called. "But...if you don't want to end up like the guy laying on the ground, you might want to stick with me."
"Why? Are you some magical person that can fight off evil with a flick of the finger?" I asked sarcastically.
"No. But the spirits trust me. I lived in this forest BEFORE the spirits turned against the humans. They practically raised me when I was lost. They brought me food...built me shelter." He said. "They were basically my parents." I started to...believe him. Wow...
"So...why did they turn against the humans?" I asked, still not fully understanding. He didn't answer for a while.
"I will tell you once we get to my home."
"You're taking me to your house?" I asked. Oh great...I'm sure we will get along just fine...
"Yup. You can stay at my place for a while. I'll help you find your boyfriend and dad tomorrow." He smiled and at and finally we came to a clearing. What I thought would be a house was...make out of sticks and was only big enough for two people. Barely even that... "Yup...home sweet home..." He took into the small stick hut and had me sit down on a blanket he had laying on the floor. He plopped down beside me and grabbed my hand. He started tracing the lines and observing it. Finally I pulled it away.
"What are you now? A palm reader?" I asked suspiciously.
"Yes." he laughed. "I see great things in your future...like a husband...30 kids..."
"30 KIDS!? WHAT KIND OF FREAK ARE YOU!?" I screamed. I smacked him on the back of the head and he chuckled.
"Just kidding..." He rubbed his head and looked at me in the face. "Girls obviously can't handle jokes like that. Huh?" I glared at him and he cleard his throat. "Anyways...about the forest..."
"Wait." I interuppted. "Start from the beginning. From when you first got lost. I don't just want to know about the forest...I want to get to know you better before I go sleeping in YOUR hut." He laughed at me.
"Okay...so...I was 14 and I ran away from home. My mother died, and my father abused me..."
"Wait a second." I said, holding up my hand and shaking my head. "This sounds a lot like my life so far."
"Well...I guess we have a lot in common so far. My mother was kept at the St. Joseph hospital for a while for her cancer. I think the doctors there were quite nice."
"Well...I don't." I snapped back. "They were rude and cruel to my dying mother. I would go back there and bash their heads into the wall if I felt like it!"
"Wow..." he laughed. "You're so cute when you're mad." I stomped out of the hut and suddenly I fell into a hole. I landed on my butt and the walls of the hole were about 8ft. high. Soon...Snobby's head appeared and looked down at me. "The spirits are out to get you, darling."
"Stop calling me those names you idiot! I told you...I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!" I glared at him. "We are practically married!"
"Oh...because of...this?" He held of the blue feather and laughed.
"GIVE IT HERE! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO GO SEARCHING THROUGH MY STUFF!"
"Say good-bye." He said wickedly. He turned to leave but I stopped him.
"No...wait! Please!" I pleaded. "What do you want from me?"
"To save the blue feather...you must...give me a kiss." He answered. I gagged.
"No way." I exclaimed. Suddenly I thought of an idea. "Well...okay. But only if you get me out of here right now." He reached his hand down and I caught it. He pulled me up...wow he's strong. He closed his eyes and leaned towards me when I snatched the blue feather and made a run for it. I didn't have time to go back for the other stuff. I could hear him calling after me but I finally came to a tree tall enough that if I climbed up, he wouldn't be able to see me through the leaves. I did climb up...and I sat on a branch and supported my back against the trunk of the tree. I can't believe that guy! For now...I would have to stay here. Later on...at night I would sneek through the darkness and get my stuff from his hut. But right now...I must sleep.

Um, that had some plot twist in it!
Though they were good and were a lot calmer!
Though I'm kind of curious on what it killed.

I finally got to write more. It's not that good...but here it is...hope you enjoy. ^_^
Chapter Thirty-two: Chokoi[/u]
I blinked and looked around me. The snobby guy suddenly swung down from the braxh above me and yelled, "Thought you could hide, did you?" I was so startled that I jerked backwards and fell out of the tree and onto the ground. I rubbed my head and sat up.
"YOU IDIOT!" I screamed. "GO AWAY!" He jumped down from the tree and came over to me.
"Baby, I'm not leaving you." he said soothingly. "I'm going to take you home and keep you for myself. Won't it be nice to be queen of the forest? Hmm?" He lifted me up and swung me over his shoulder like a burlap bag. I pounded my fists on his back, be he didn't seem to mind. Then I started screaming.
"LET ME GO!" I screamed. "PUT ME DOWN! STOP IT!" I pounded on his back again. He laughed at me and kept walking.
"Settle down, Honey. Everything is all right will your Derek here with you." he said.
"I'M NOT GOING TO GO WITH YOU!" I screamed. "DEREK! PUT ME DOWN!" I cried. I started sobbing from anger and finally gave up on getting away. "I want to see my boyfriend...and my dad...and my friends!" I cried. I couldn't possibly even START to say how much I missed them all. Once Derek took me back to the hut he laid me down on a blanket and sat down beside me.
"Do you want to hear that story about the spirits before our wedding, which will take place at sunset?" I smiled and decided to play along...for now.
"Yes."
"Okay..." he sighed, smiling. "Once my mother died I ran away. I ran until I reached this forest, and then started walking through it slowly. Well, I tripped over a branch and sprained my ankle. Just my luck..." He rolled his eyes. "Anyways...I crawled and little ways further and then finally fell asleep at a clearing. The next morning when I woke up there was a bowl of hot soup laying beside me!"
"Are you making this up?" I asked curiously.
"No, it's no joke! So...I ate the soup. I decided that I would stay in the clearing until I could walk again. So I crawled around and made a layer of leaves for myself to sleep on. Once I slept and woke up...there was a hut built for me!"
"You have to be joking..." I said. "I don't believe you."
"But it's true." he regarded. "When I crawled into the hut there was an indian inside cooking more soup over a fire. I talked to him and asked him if he gave me the food and built this for me. He told me 'yes.' I thanked him and he nodded. Then...he disappeared right before my eyes!"
"You liar!" I said loudly. "That is the stupidest story I have ever heard!"
"No. It's true, babe. I lived in the hut for about a year and then he appeared again. We talked and I learned that he came from an indian tribe that used to live in the forest. His name was Chokoi." He took a breath and continued. "He told me that when he died he promised to be the guardian of the forest and to protect all those who mean no harm. That's why he was so nice to me. But...a week later he came back and told me that there were some people cutting down trees at the northern entrance of the forest."
"Okay...so what happened then?" I said, starting to believe him.
"The next day I found the bodies of 4 men floating in a stream north of here." he said softly. "Chokoi appeared again to me that night and told me that his business was taken care of, but some more men would come back to cut more tress down. Ever since they started cutting the trees down the spirits of that tribe have been killing every person that comes into the forest. Unles...the mean no harm. But if they kill an animal or even do something like pick bark off a tree, they kill them." I sat silent for a moment.
"Wow..." I sighed. "I feel bad that the spirits have to see their forest get destroyed by people." Derek looked outside and saw the sun setting. He ran out and called back for me to come too. I knew what time it was...and I had a plan. I grabbed a sharp rock sitting nearby me and hid it behind my back as I ran out after him.
"Can a guy get a kiss before his wedding?" Derek asked sweetly. Good...the plan is going to work.
"I thought you would never ask!" I ran over to him and we started to lean closer when I swung my hand up with the pointed part of the rock extended and stabbed him in the head. He fell onto the ground crying and screaming in pain as I ran back into the hut to grab my suitcase. "Bye Derek! I'll always remember you as a selfish snobby moron!" I cackled as I ran the way we had entered the clearing. He didn't reply, but he did scream and cry after me. Aww...he's such a big sissy.
