Chapter Four: The Picnic Preparations
I woke up to Elli leaning over me smiling. She giggled and ran to get me a glass of water and some toast. When she came back, I thanked her and took the food from her. Since I was hungry and hadn't eaten in two days, I gobbled it down in a few seconds.
"My, my, you must be hungry." my eyes grew wide and I nodded a few times quickly.
"That toast was great! I layed back and robbed my stomach,
"Thank you." she smiled. "Are you ready for the da- I mean picnic?" I slapped my forehead.
"Crap!" quickly got out bed and said "I'll see you later! At noon!" she looked surprised.
"Alright then! Bye!" she gave a small wave with one hand on her mouth. I ran down the path to the farm and realized. I don't have any food at the house! I just moved in! I skidded to a halt and ran back up the road. Right next to the clinic was the Supermarket. I walked in.
"Hi, and welcome to the supermarket!" A girl with short jeans, boots, and a white tank top covered by a purple vest immediately greeted me at the door. She was very pretty and had blonde bangs with long brown hair behind it.
"Ooh! A new customer!" another women with a blue dress and blonde hair ran up behind her quickly. "I'm Sasha and this is-"
"I'm Karen." she gave me a smile and put her hands behind her back, swaying back and forth. I looked at her.
"R-Right." I paused. "Do you have picnic baskets?" I turned my head, searching with my eyes.
"Yes, of course!" Karen blushed. "Right this way." she grabbed my hand and pulled me over the baskets. Even though she looked about my age (seventeen), she was acting about ten years younger. She showed me the picnic baskets and I picked out a large one. She also showed me where all the food was. When I went up to pay for it all, they said I could have it all on the house.
"We appreciate customers, and we hope this gift of gratitude will bring you back next time. But you only get the free items the first time you visit, so next time you'll have to pay." Sasha smiled and I left.
"Thank you!" I replied to her as I left the building. I turned left and saw Elli waiting on the door step of the Clinic.
"Hi Jack! Are you ready?" she smiled and held something out in front of her. "Heres the pie I promised! It's blueberry!" I opened the picnic basket and she set it in there. We turned and walked down the cobblestone road to my grandpa's house, or should I say, my house. We then walked down to the small road that lead to the forest. When we got in, we ran into a man named Zack. He was running, getting exercise. Not that he needed it, his muscles were as big as my head!
"Good day Elli." he waved to Elli "Hey son, You like fishin'? he had a deep voice and black hair, with a black mustache
"Yeah, sure." I replied.
"Well see, I've got an extra pole. You want it?" he pulled it out of his rucksack.
"Yeah sure." I took it from him. He smiled.
"I'm Zac by the way." he started to run. I turned.
"I'm Jack!" I waved and he was gone in a flash. We walked a little further and found a nice spot by the lake.
"Here we are!" Elli exclaimed. We sat down and spread everything out. I realized I forgot a blanket and quickly ran to the house to get one. I handed it to Elli and she spread it on the ground also. I walked over to the lake and threw my fishing rods line in, noticing and island, in the middle of the lake.
Authors notes- Sort of a short chapter. Hope you all enjoy! I wont get the next chapter until next week. Zac

Good chapter, but I think you might want to slow down: focus on one thing at a time. Elli and Jack go for a picnic, some guy just happens to ask if he likes fishing, he gets a new fishing pole.

Chapter Five: The Picnic and the Monster
I tugged on the line and a fish came splashing out of the water. It was sort of big, like a medium sized
"I got another one Elli!" she continued to pull food out of the picnic basket while sitting on her knees in the grass. I unhooked the fish and set it by another small pile of fish. Seven fish.
"Great! When do you want to eat?" I walked over to the blanket.
"How about right now?" I smiled at her, and reached for a piece of bread and a knife. "What would you like?"
"Well, how about some sashimi?" I set the bread down and grabbed a fish, setting it on a plate sitting on the blanket. I took the knife and quickly chopped it up. Elli gasped and closed her eyes and covered them. A few moments later, I handed her the plate and told her she could open her eyes now.
"Thank you Jack." she said smiling.
"No problem!" I picked the bread back up and cut a small loaf into to two. I also grabbed some ham, and cheese from he basket. I pulled out two bottles of grape juice they had at the supermarket from Aja's Winery. I handed one to Elli. I took a bite of my sand which and Elli dug through the basket to find a fork. When she found one, she picked up a piece of her sashimi and popped it in her mouth. While eating, Elli took a cucumber in her hand sat set her fork down. She stood up and threw it into the lake. A green man with what appeared to be a snout came out of the water. This startled me and I nearly choked on my food and my heart was pounding.
"Hey Kappa!" Elli said waving to the monster. The monster snorted. "This is Jack! He's new here so be nice to him!"
"Whatever." he rolled his eyes and sunk under the water. Elli laughed and waved goodbye. I was still startled.
"He's nice. don't be scared of him. My heart calmed down and I continued eating.
* * * "That was a great pie Elli."
"Thanks," We picked up our plates and set them in the bag. I folded up the blanket and walked over to the water for one last look. The Kappa came up and I turned around, walking over to Elli. We walked down the path and we reached the clinic.
"I'll see you tomorrow Elli." I leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. She blushed. "I'll see you tomorrow?" I questioned.
"Yes..." she closed her eyes slowly and leaned up to kiss me. I kissed her on the lips now. I ended and smiled at her. "Goodbye." she walked inside, and I turned to walk down the path to my house. When I got home, I set the basket on the table and put the blanket back where it was supposed to be and threw myself on the bed, falling asleep almost immediately
Authors note: Sort of short chapter. Hope you guys enjoyed it! Zac
