Wow Zin, this is great. I thought that the wind might have been Elpitha's mother, but if the wind is her sister it makes more sense. The chapter where the wind makes its first appearance, it was playful like a kid. Keep up the great work.

I started chapter...um what number am I up to now? 33? You just posted chapter 31. So you should have chapter 32 started.

lol, here's another status update for ya: my microprocessor design class was extra boring! hurray for last minute stick-ins! (my normal prof was hospitalized right before the start of the semester, so they got a graduate student to fill in who's never taught a class before). what does that mean, you ask? how is that an update, you wonder?
well that means I wrote more of the chapter, duh! I'm about half way through at this point. I'm thinking (and this depends on where chapter 32 goes. as you know, I never really know what turns a chapter's gonna take until I actually start writing and all this stuff just flows out) that chapter 33 will be the music festival. revelations galore.
as for chapter 32, well we get to see what karen and daniel are up to, Jack pops in and tries to mend things with Elpitha a bit (that's about as far as I've gotten) and after that... well maybe that will take up the whole chapter. we'll see.

well guys, it looks like I'm gonna have to give it up at last. with finals coming up and my senior project reaching the end of its tether, I just don't have time to finish the next chapter anytime soon. I tried, but I don't think it'll work. I can't sacrifice my classes for this story, after all. I have four classes left to take after this semester, and I'm done with my BS in computer engineering. I won't let anything get in the way, and I'm afraid that includes this story.
It's with a heavy heart, therefore, that I must abandon this story. I don't know if I'll ever finish it. It's a shame, really. I was just getting to the climax of the story and I was looking forward to writing it for such a long time. c'est la vie. I hope you all enjoyed what I did manage to write of it, and I promise to do my best to keep Elpitha in mind for a rainy day when I have some time, though I don't think that will be possible. Best of luck all and happy writing!

Oh, Zin, I'm very sorry to hear this. I know how you feel though, so I understand. It was a great story, better than some published books I have read even.
I hope you can write more when you have free time, but if not then, good luck with your schooling and everything. I'm very sad...but...I understand how you feel as a writer, Zin.
