Okay, my third FanFic...I'm so sorry the others are really bad or I haven't even finished the 2nd chapter, but hopefully I'll rock this one out! I was thinking about this A LOT while I was bringing in wood, and it's kinda based on me and my friend who I love like a sis, so I'm deticating this to her. Wish me luck! (Oh, sorry about the pathetic title, you'll get it later)
{Prolouge}
So we were best friends. Excuse me, best sisters. Oh, nevermind. I'll admit it, we were just friends. But most folks would recognize us as sisters, we were seen together everywhere.
Jill is a few years younger than me. I've known her since she was born. She's known me since she was born. Pretty simple, I guess. But believe me, it doesn't stay simple.
^Sigh^ Well, I'll be one of those pathetic normal people; this story's a long one. There ya go, I've pretty much broken all the rules now. You'll understand as we go. Jill would scold me for not being my creative self, and change the words of "it's a long story". I mean, how many times have you heard that? A lot. Okay, sorry, I'm babbling again. Jill always says that's my specialty...
Anyhoo, let's move on. Jill would stop me from babbling, but shes not here, is she? I'm becoming selfish now...Gosh, I wish she were here.

Sorry 'bout the short chapters...
Chapter 1 {I'll Start From The Beginning...Sort Of}-
Jill smiled and cocked her head to the side, her thin brown ponytail swung with it, "Don't forget me."
I chuckled. Who could forget sweet Jill on a 7-day vacation? "Jill, that's impossible," I grinned. I felt like we were speaking are own language, she knew I would NEVER forget her.
Jill looked down at her feet and whispered, "Nothings impossible."
I smiled. That is so Jill. She was the kind of person you wanted to hate, but couldn't. But she wasn't one of those reality freaks, she was a dreamer.
"Just don't forget my birthday," she ordered.
I pulled my two fingers up to my forhead, and whipped them down in a salute, and giggled.
"I won't," I said.
"Do you pinky promise?" She asked. We both forced our pinkies out, locked them together and never let go. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I remember that time...I'm surprised I didn't even ask why she was worried I'd forget her birthday. Hmm... Anyway, I never did forget it, besides, I was 11, she was 8, at those ages, you could remember ANYTHING.
We were such giggly girls, I don't know why. Most people thought that's all we did, laugh. But no way, we went swimming, rode bikes, did our hair, had sleepovers, went to the movies...together. Always together

Chapter 2 {When We Separated}-
We were both lying on our backs, glaring at the stars, like they were the ones who were about to separate us, not time. Jill was the first to talk in a while.
Jill turned onto her stomach and started plucking the grass out of the dirt, and making piles of it. "Where are you going?"
I knew what she meant. We were 18. Old enough to leave each other, so I knew it was okay to answer.
"Mineral Town. I think it's cute, that's what the Mayor said," I kind of said cautiosly. I never looked at her. I just tried to count the stars in the sky.
"Wow, I've never heard of it. I'm off to Forget-Me-Not Valley," She provided the information.
"Amazing name, I love it,"
I thought I saw a tear fall out of her beautiful round eyes, but that's impossible.
But then again, nothings impossible.

I'm really sorry, the chapters might be pretty short, but I'll try to write a couple at a time.

Chapter 3 {My Name}-
Gosh, I remember that day too clearly. Our last one. We both fell asleep on the newly mowed grass that night. I love that smell. Can't get enough of it. That's why we'd spend out nights together there. Hesky Park. Wow, I miss that place.
Sorry, I'm babbling again. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"All aboard Mineral Town!" a buff man notified. Pretty handsome if you ask me, tan, short hair, the basics. Ya know, eyes, nose, a mouth, everything you need. Sorry, off track again....
"Excuse me sir, does this ferry stop anywhere near umm Forget Me Not Vally?" I asked politly. My eyes darted around. I was afraid no one knew of the vally, and I would be taken as stupid.
"Sorry ma'am, the ferry's only goin' to the town, if you want to top by the vally, you gotta take a plane. BUT, if you want, I can tell my buddy, the captain, to swing by there, it's possible. Anyway, you seem to be the only one headed to the town!" He started to get louder, more intense.
I shook my head. I just wanted to see Jill.
The man guided me to the tight space I'd be staying in. I nodded my thanks and placed my two cardboard boxes next to the petit cot.
"You moving?" He caught me by surprise.
I shrugged, "Ya, I guess."
He chuckled at my spunkiness and noted, "My name's Zack."
It seems as if he were waiting for me to reply with my name, but I didn't. I didn't want to be too comfertable in this town. It seemed wrong. I'd never been away from Jill for this long.
You could tell Zack had given up on meeting me when he turned and left. After he silently closed the door behind him, I whispered,
"Claire. That's my name."

Chapter 4 {I Guess You'd Call It My New Life}-
I was in a better mood when I got off the ferry. Especially when Zack caught up to me to tell me that Forget Me Not Vally shared the same beautiful ocean.
I smiled at the ocean. I smiled at the farthest point I could see to. I smiled at Jill.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zack had given me short directions to my new farm. When I stepped between the two fences, a small puppy greeted me.
"Hey cutie, watcha doin' here?" I cooed the puppy as I kneeled down to rub his ears.
"EXCUSE ME!"
I whipped my head around, my blonde hair poking me in the eye. I flinched.
The loud voice came from such a tiny man. He had a rather large round nose, and galsses you could barely see. A tall red top hat was propped onto of his partly-bald head.
"Ahem, as mayor of Mineral Town, I own this land, and I demand you to leave it!" He boomed. He cropped his yellow bow tie to make him look a little more official.
"Excuse me, I just called a couple weeks ago, my na-" He cut me off.
"Oh oh! I'm terribly sorry! I didn't relize you'd come, I didn't think-" He stopped, as if he'd say something to ruin a good 1st impression.
He began again, "We don't have many visitors. A lot of people have applied for this land, but as you can see, it's a wreck. I'm terribly sorry, but do you think you could give the farm a try?" He pleaded me.
I nodded without thinking. I could have stopped and turnen around. I could have took the offer to go see Jill. I could have, but I stayed.

Aww, I'll give you a comment.
It's cute you used them as being twins. I think you should try to make the chapters longer, but I feel quality is before quantity. What's the point of it being long if it sucks?

Chapter 4 {My First Day}-
Mayor Thomas said I could keep the little brown puppy. I asked him for advice, but he said he wasn't overly fond of dogs. I named him Bailey. Jill had always wanted a dog. I hope she has one now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up early, 6:00am. I quickly fed Bailey, ate my own breakfast, and watched tomorrow's forcast before stepping outside.
"Hello ther- Wow! Hello again!" Zack greeted with surprise. I had forgotten to tell him I was the new farm owner.
I leaned against the side of the doorway. "Claire," I stated my name.
"Oh yes, your name, I forgot to catch it on the ferry," he remembered.
I nodded. We stood in silence for about ten second before Zack remembered what he was supposed to say.
"I'm here to explain the shipping process. I take all Mineral Town's shipping every day to the city. So does my good friend over in Forget Me Not Valley, Takakura. We-" I stopped him.
"Did you say Forget Me Not Valley? Have you been there?" I was anxious to know, which I bet made Zack feel proud.
"Ya, I always go there! Practicly my second home. My good friend Tak and I go to the city together a lot..." He explained politly, seeing as how I rudely interuppted.
I nodded, and he finished explaining, "I'll come by at 5:00pm every day to pick up the shipping. I'll sell it at the city with Tak. I don't come by on holidays, so don't bother... Just place any items you'd like into the box and I'll pick 'em up."
I agreed, and he left.
Bailey ran up to my and propped him paws on my leg and barked. "Hey boy, you hungry again? Ya just ate, silly!" I cooed. "Now, let's have a look at that field."
Thomas had been right, the field was a wreck. It was covered in weeds, stones, and stumps. Only a few patched of dirt showed.
That's when work began. Real work. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had almost finished half the field (minus the big stones and stumps) when Zack arrived for the sencond time. I had forgot about the shipping thing.
Oops.
Zack stared blankly at the box. I giggled, "Sorry..."
He introduced my to the apple tree near the pond that I could sell the honey from. I nodded, and with that, he was off.
After that, I decided to finish my work on the field, then get a bite to eat. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunatly, it was 11:00pm when I finsihed up. I would only be able to get a small snack before I hopped into bed. I was on my way inside when I heard humming. I stopped to listen.
Hmmm hm hmmmmmmm HMMMMM hmm....
I kept quiet until the humming stopped, and opened the door, which spread light over a small section of the dark grass. Someone shreiked. I did too.
I gasped. I thought the person was gone. Through the darkness I could make out a figure of a skinny girl who seemed my age.
"Hello?" I was scared. I pushed open the door slightly so that I could see the girl more clearly.
The girl was a redhead. She had a long tight braid flowing down after her. She wore baggy overalls and a big, sweet smile.
"Oh, hello!" She greeted in a New Jersy accent, she didn't sound frightened anymore.
"Umm, hi," I said catiously. What was she doing here this late?
"I was just on my way to the hot springs, who are you?" The girl explained and asked.
"Oh, sorry, I'm Claire, the new farmer. And you?" I began to feel more confident. Baliey crawled up to my leg and layed down, tired from all the play.
"I'm Ann, I'm 18 and my dad, Doug owns the Inn in the middle of town," She introduced herself politly.
"I'm 18 too!" I said excitedly.
"Cool! Well, I have to get to the hot springs, see ya later!" She said, jittery.
I waved and headed inside. Maybe she knows about Forget Me Not Valley too...
