Two Year Anniversary Contests!

In September HMA will be turning two years old, and to celebrate, we'll be holding a few contests!

The contests will be:
Harvest Moon fanfiction contest
Non-Harvest Moon fanfiction/orginal fiction
Harvest Moon fanart
Non-Harvest Moon fanart/orginal art
Banner Contest
Avavtar contest

Entries are due September 18!

That's nearly a month, so you have plenty of time to prepare! ^^

Prizes for All Contests:
First Prize:
Custom Member Group, custom title, First Place sig banner

Second Prize: custom title, second place sig banner

Third Prize: third place sig banner

In addition, the first, second and third place winners of the HM fanfiction contest will have their fanfics added to the reccomended reading list for the next year.

Also, I need judges for each fanfiction contest, the two fanart contests and the banner contest. You can't judge a contest you plan on entering, but you can though. If you want to be a judge PM me. I need 2-3 judges per contest

Fanfiction Contests

For Both Contests (HM and Non-HM):

• entries must be avaiable online somewhere! It need not be posted at HMA, but please do not PM me entire stories
  
• entries must be appropiate for HMA, with content rated PG-13 or less
  
• for multi-chapter entries, please chose one chapter to submit. Your entire work will be judged on this chapter, so chose your best one! If no chapter is specified, you will be judged on the first chapter
  

To enter:
PM me a link to the fanfic, and tell me which chapter you are submitting. It will be helpful if you can link directly to the submitted chapter.

• please PM me the picture you wish to submit. If the image is overly large, please just send me a link!
  
• content must be appropiate, PG-13 or less

• banner size must be 750 pixels in width. Smaller or larger entries will be disqualified!
  
• banner height should be between 100-200 pixels

You can have one entry per contest, but you can enter as many contests as you like.

Also, I'll be needing judges for the two fanfic contests, the two fanart contests and the banner contest. If you don't plan on entering those contests, and want to judge them, please PM me. I need two or three judges per contest

Just to clarify, judging requires actual work. ^^;
You'll need to be able to read the fics in a critical manner, looking for mistakes and such.
It's not about "ZOMG! Squee! Your fic is t3h b3st!", okay?
Same with fan-art and banner contest

Oh yeah, and banners=banners or banners=sigs?

Banner = banner for the top of the forum, hence the huge size

And I don't think I need anymore fanfiction judges, but I need fanart and banner judges

Ok, I have a few questions:
I want to enter the HM and non-HM fanart contests, but I might be busy for a while. (I'm starting a new school, and supposedly it's far more advanced than any other schools I've been too. I've also heard they leave a ton of homework right off the bat, so I may be busy for a while. )
So, can I enter things that I've made in the past?
How many images can I enter per contest?
If I get the time to make something better (or that I like more) than what I originally PM you, can I change my entry?

Also, for the fanfiction contest, can you change your mind and change your entry? (I haven't written another chapter for my fanfiction in a while, and even though I doubt it'll win, I'd like to throw it in with the tigers. XP)

And you know, I think I'll enter the avatar contest.
I have a good idea for an avatar (but just in case, if I get blown in over my head with school work, can I drop out later? I doubt I will, but I'd just like to ask)

Yes. But if you drop out, that's it. No dropping out, then signing back up.
