So, here's a fun new contest!
You can design a brand shiny new skin for HMA.
The winner gets some lovely prizes as well:
a custom member group, a custom title and their very own board. (I'll explain more about that in a minute.)
A few rules or guidelines or what-have-you:
The skin MUST have the following:
a custom color theme
a matching banner - the size of the banner must be 750 pixles wide and 100-250 pixels high, the banner must feature Harvest Moon characters, and have the words Harvest Moon Archives
matching old/new post icons
Optional Stuff:
smilies, background/wallpaper, gradients, scrollbar, and all the assorted buttons, "thread" icons: locked post, hot post etc.
You don't have to do any of the optional stuff, and you can pick and choose which, if any, you might like to include
You will be judged on how the skin looks, the quality of the graphics, colors, incorporation of the Harvest Moon theme etc.
You may work in teams of 2 or more,
however, while all members of the winning team will recieve a custom title and custom member group, only one board prize will be given away. Therefore, all members of a team should decide on what kind of board they want.
Also, you may only join one team.
Now about that board:
You can have more or less any kind of board you want. It will be a sub-board of the Kappa Pond, unless I feel that it will be more appropiate somewhere else. For example, if you want a board just for your artwork, it would be a sub-board of the Gallery.
Depending on the subject matter of the board, post-count may or may not be disabled. If you decide you want a spam board, post count will be disabled. If you want a role-play board, post count would likely be enabled.
You may opt to have the board password protected, and give that password out to whomever you choose. Of course, I will know the password.
If you are a mod, you may mod that board, if you wish.
Important:
You are responsible for maintaining your board's activity! If it becomes very inactive, it will be deleted, and the threads will be moved to an appropiate area.
If the winner is banned or deletes his/her account, the board will be deleted, regardless of activity. If a team wins, and one member is banned or deleted, the board will remain as long as the remaining team members are also around.
Skins are due by Feb. 28. That's a full month to work on these, kids!
