The time has come again to announce our annual art/writing/graphics contest to celebrate HMA's anniversary. We're turning three this year!

We will be holding the following contests:

Writing Contests
- Harvest Moon fanfiction
- non-HM fanfiction
- orginal fiction/non-fiction

Art Contests
- Harvest Moon fan-art
- Non-HM fan-art
- orginal art

Graphics Contest
- avatar tournement
- banner conest
- sig contest
- general graphics contest

Members are limited to one entry per contest.

Entries are due September 14!

Writing Contests

For All Contests:

-entries must be avaiable online somewhere! It need not be posted at HMA, but please do not PM me entire stories

-stories that were entered in previous contests may not be entered.

-entries must be appropiate for HMA, with content rated PG-13 or less

-for multi-chapter entries, please chose one chapter to submit. Your entire work will be judged on this chapter, so chose your best one! If no chapter is specified, you will be judged on the first chapter.


To enter:
-PM me a link to the fanfic, and tell me which chapter you are submitting. It will be helpful if you can link directly to the submitted chapter.

Art Contests

-content must be appropiate, PG-13 or less

Notes: Fan-charatcers will be considered orginal art!
All entries are final! You may not change, edit, switch drawings etc, once you have submitted your art.

Graphics Contest

Banner Contest:

banner size must be 750 pixels in width. Smaller or larger entries will be disqualified!

banner height should be between 100-200 pixels

- feature HM characters

Banners MUST match one of the skins! I cannot stress this enough. If you want to know the hex colors for a skin, just ask

Signature Contest

Signatures should be no more than 500 pixels wide and no more than 150 pixels tall.

-any type of graphics are acceptable: avatars, sigs, wallpapers, pixel-art. It need not be HM related

Judging

All submitted works will be judged seriously. They will be judged on creativity as well as technical skill.

If you would like to be a judge, PM me and tell me which contest(s) you would like to judge. Please be specefic. Don't just say that you want to judge. Tell me which contest(s) you want to judge and why you want to judge them.

You cannot judge a contest you want to enter!

Prizes:

Third Place winners: a sig saying "third place in X contest 2007"

Second Place winners: a sig saying "second place in X contest 2007" AND a custom title

First Place winners: a sig saying "first place in X contest 2007" AND a custom title AND a custom member group!

Additional Prizes:
-The first, second and third place winners in HM fanfic contest will be added to the reccomended reading list
- winners of the banner contest will be used on the appropiate skin
- winners of the sig contest will be used by me to promote HMA at various forums

Just to clarify, submissions do not have to be created just for this contest; you may enter art/stories graphics that you have already posted online. However, anything that you submitted in last year's contest or the 2005 contest may not be entered.

Wait, can you only enter in one catagory in the Art Contest? Or can you enter in two?
E.g. The HM related fanart and the Non-HM related fanart.

You can enter each contest once, as in one submission for HM art, one submission for non-HM art.
