I recently read somewhere that when you're dreaming, your brain wants to continue the dream as long as possible, so if some odd detail in the dream pops up that is so strange that it threatens to end the dream, your brain will make up a random explanation, which will be accepted by the dream, even if, upon waking, the explanation makes no sense at all. This comes into the second half of the first dream:
I showed up for work at the supermarket. i work in produce, but for some reason, I was told to go on register that day. As soon as I opened I had a small line of customers. The first customer was buying some reusable canvas bags in addition to her groceries. The bags were in a plastic bag, and I could tell that this was how they came shipped to the store, and that they weren't sold like that. I called for someone to get a price check and Amy came to my register. Amy actually quit a few years ago, and was actually wearing the old uniform we had back then.
For some reason, Amy canceled the order. I explained that I needed a price check, not a void, so Amy went to find out the price. The other customers went to other lines and I put a "lane closed" sign on my register. I realized that I hadn't turned the light off, so I flipped the switch. Some customers came to my line, and I realized that the light had been off, and I'd just turned it back on. I told them I was closed and they went to another lane.
Eventually the customer who wanted the bags got tired of waiting and left. I hung around for a few minutes, then decided to go to the produce department, but first I needed my apron, so I went upstairs to get it from my locker. The first set of stairs was like the actual stairs in the store, but the second and third flight (which we do NOT have at work) were in very poor condition. I finally reached the top floor, and my co-worker Julie said she's found my sketch-book and was so impressed by my art that she's submitted it to a local art show. At first I was angry that she'd done this without my permission, but then I got worried, because not all the art in my book was mine.
Julie and Arlene began flipping through the book, pointing out some of the art they liked best. While some things were sketches, there were also beautiful paintings. I explained that I hadn't done those paintings: I had scanned them into my notebook to use as reference and inspiration.
The dream went on a bit longer after that, but scanning paintings into a sketchbook?!
I had a another dream I wanted to post, but this was longer than I thought, so I'll post it later.

I had this weird dream just the other night (well actually all my dreams are weird XD)... I was at school and me, my friend Misa, and some random person were sitting on like a couch. The couch seemed to be floating (there was water all around it) but actually there was a boat right underneath it. Rika (the blue-haired girl from Higurashi) was in the boat and she drowned. o.O I felt bad for not noticing. Then I was outside with my whole class and we were all Care Bears and we had to go run away from something. When we almost got to our destination where we would apparently be safe, somebody said we should put our purses in some random area. So I put mine (which actually was the purse I have IRL) with the other purses. When we were at the place though one of the girls raised her hand and said that she had left her purse a little bit back, and I said I had too. So the teacher (who was a bigger Care Bear) told us to go get them and so we did. Then we were in my homeroom room and it was the last day of school. Again I was with that random person from before and we were talking about fireworks. Then we started to leave and the teacher (who isn't my actual homeroom teacher) suddenly said to us, "Did you know that I'm Lady Gaga?" or something like that and I'm like, "Really? =O " and she replied, "No of course not. You really believed that?"
This might sound weird, but... I think that the person who I can't remember anything about, I will have a crush on them when I start high school. Well, I had a dream about being friends with one of my friends before I even knew her, so I think it's possible...

I dreamed I was in high school and we were on some sort of field trip to a park. Somehow or other, we invoked some kind of bad-luck curse involving blueberries. On the way home we were freaking out, because this curse was really, really bad, and everyone was trying to figure out how to break the curse.
The busdriver decided there was no way to break the curse and decided to end things on his own terms: by driving the bus off a pier into the bay. Everyone got really scared; I tried to call my mother on my cellphone to tell her goodbye and that I loved her. My brother was also on the bus, but he was all the way at the other end, and couldn't get over to me. I made eye contact with him, and he knew I'd say good-bye for him.
Somehow, though, someone (me?) managed to find a way to break the curse! We printed it out on a piece of paper. It was hard convincing the bis driver to stop the bus, but eventually he stopped the bus and let us out near the WaWa. He drove away very slowly.
We appraoched the gas pumps. There were lots of people wandering around, but no cars. These people were also cursed. I watched someone pick up the gas pump and put in in their mouth. After injecting the contents into their body they walked away. I walked up and took the pump and put the nozzle in my mouth. It didn't taste of gas, but of air. I had some trouble figuring out how to work the gas pump, but soon I injected a puff of air into my body. This lifted the curse.
Lots of weirdness in this story. It's set when I was in high school, but the WaWa I went to didn't exist back then (it's only about a year and a half old). Also, I didn't have a cell phone until several years after I graduated. They weren't that common back in the late 90's.

I don't remember most of my dreams, but for some reason I remember one detail from one of my last dreams really well. In the dream I had gone to McDonald's and ordered the apple slices with caramel dip. They were so good that I ordered more before leaving so I could have some for later.
No idea what it means. Dream Moods says this:
But I think I just really want to try the apple slices with caramel from McDonald's.

I had several dreams last night, but this one stands out the most:
An attractive, upper class young woman is dating a slightly older, slightly overweight guy. He's a regular guy, probably a blue-collar worker, but her family is snobbish. The couple are actually pretending to date to shock the girl's snobby family, though the guy is starting to fall for the girl. They are visiting her parents.
For some reason they have a pet fox, though the coloring of the fox is more like my border collie's markings than a real fox. The fox is very smart. The man wants to take the fox for a walk, but there is a big dog chained up outside and it is growling at them, so he takes the fox back into the backyard, which is actually my grandparents back yard. The fox sees a squirrel and chases it up a tree. It's wearing one of those retracable leashes, so it's able to climb pretty high up the tree. It eventually climbs down, and they take it inside, where it tears a hole in the wall.
The girl's parents find out about the charade, and want they guy to leave in the morning. At this point, it really starts to feel like I'm watching a movie, because I'm rooting for the girl to tell the guy that she actually cares for him, but before this can happen the dream shifts back to the fox. My mom and I are playing with it, and it's fur is very soft.

My family was going on a trip toHawaii. I was out, and had to hurry home so that I could get back in time to drive with them to the airport. I tried to run, but my legs wouldn't work right, so I jogged instead. I got home and had to change out of the clothes I was wearing, which were damp (from rain or sweat?). For some reason, my bedroom was in the living room and there were curtains around my bed, which I wanted to pull closed, but my mom kept talking to me, and it would be rude to shut them. Finally I got changed and we crammed into the car. We stopped at a store or restaurant for snacks and drinks since the drive to the airport was a long one, near New York City.
We actually got there early and had time to look around; there was a pond with birds and fish and turtles in it. Local residents bought eggs to raise in the pond. Then it was time to find our plane, but we weren't sure which way to go, so we split up: boys in one group, girls in another. Suddenly it wasn't my family anymore and I was watching the dream, not part of it. Each group arrived at a seperate place that they thought was correct, but I guess neither one was, since suddenly they were walking along a grassy path. They met some Amish-type people (they weren't exactly Amish, but similar) and traveled with them for a time, and the girls in the group wore scarves on their hair the way the Amish-type women did.

My dad and I are going on a car trip. (One or both of my brothers are going too, but they don't factor into the dream much) We stop at a Wawa to get snacks and drinks. The coffee pots and half-and-half and everything are outside. I want coffee, but there isn't any regular coffee, so I try some fancy blend or flavored coffee. The top of the coffee pot isn't round, it's kind of star shaped, which mkaes it hard to pour and spill coffee on the counter.
I go inside the store adn get some snacks and decide to buy a Wawa tote bag and a few other things. When I go to pay I use some kind of gift certificate or coupon, but after the cashier uses the coupon she tells me the order is over $1,000 dollars! At first I don't understand what happened, but the customer behind me looks at the screen and figures out that the coupn added $999 to my order. The cashier refuses to take it off and insists I have to pay. I get upset since I don't have that much money.
Since a line has formed behind me, the cashier opens a new register to ring up the customers leaving me to figure out my problem. The dream ends before the issue is resolved.

I actually had this dream a few days ago, so the details are kinda vague, but it really disturbed me.
My brothers and I were at the house we grew in. For some reason there was a garbage chute in the backyard, but no grabage can or dumpster to catch the grabage, so there was some debris on the ground. Most of it was My Little Ponies, but they were in bad shape, missing their heads and stuff. We cleaned some of them up, but we were getting creeped out, so we left. We rode away on horses, but when we got to the front-yard we were suddenly walking.

I had two dreams last night:
Survivor I was a contestant on Survivor. It was pretty late in the game, the tribes had merged and there were maybe 8 people left, including me. For whatever reason, the Survivor producers hadn't given us any food supplies, and we were very hungry. Two of the women had strange rashes on their arms, which was caused by some kind of vitamin deficency.
We went back to our camp, which was my grandparents old backyard. One of the contestants had gotten ahold of a cell-phone, and ordered some takeout, a buffalo chicken. Not just wings, an entire chicken. We were trying to figure out who should get seconds. One of the others said I should, since I was going to be voted off next. Earlier in the season, beofre teh megrge, my tribe had agreed on a set order of who was to be voted off. I protested that that plan didn't make any sense now that we had merged. Another castaway, who looked like Gordon from Sesame Street made a long speech, invoking Martin Luthor King Jr...it made no sense, so I woke up.
The Baby-Sitters Club The members of the BSC were having a sleep-over at Stacy's dad's apartment in New York. Stacy had invited some of her New York friends over too. There wasn't enough room for all the girls in one room, so the BSC members, except Stacy, were in a downstairs room, while Stacy and the other girls were in Stacy's bedroom upstairs. The BSC girls were playing with Stacy's kitten, which kept going into the closet. At one point he did not come out and when Dawn checked, she discovered that the kitten had been killed by a mouse-trap.
For some reason, this was all Dawn's fault. All the girls freaked out, especially Mary Anne, who, of course, was crying. Dawn went upstairs, to tell Stacy, I guess, but when she saw Stacy she hid in the bathroom. The bathroom was very tiny, just a toilet, but when Dawn stood up, the room was somewhat bigger and less cramped.
Morning came. Someone had told Stacy about her kitten and they all went for a walk by the ocean. Things were pretty awkward between Stacy and Dawn, and my dream ended before things were properly wokred out.

I had two dreams about Spirit Tracks last night. I don't remember the first one very well, sadly. The second one was a cross-over with a webcomic I read. One of the characters from the comic was on Link's train and he was taking her to meet another character and trying to avoid the bad trains.

In my dream I was getting married really soon (as in the next few days). One of my co-workers found out and wanted to throw me a shower (or maybe a bachelorette party?) and made me write down all the e-mails of my Facebook friends, even though I don't know some of them IRL.
For some reason, Joan Rivers was invited and she was staying in my sister's room. She didn't like the TV she had in there, and bought a high-def TV to replace it, but the new TV didn't work right, so my sister was upset.

Man, it's been so long that I started this thread, I forgot that I was the one that started it! ;D Anyway, I haven't had any dreams that I can remember lately, but my brother had one last night about me. Apparently, I killed some random horse with a spear, and then proceeded to stab said horse repeatedly with the spear in the back of it's neck. Dad was yelling at me the whole time. If it were me having the dream about my brother, I'd probably be somewhat concerned (either that I harbored some subliminal fear of him or that I was going crazy), but he just laughed it off.

A family had a daughter who had sirenomelia (Mermaid Syndrome). The girl was very pretty and had been in commercials or something, but the girl died under mysterious circumstances. I knew the family and had my suspicions about the parent's invovlement. They asked me to dog-sit while they were on vacation, and their house looked just like my grandparents house.
The family came back earlier than expected and we were all talking, skirting around the issue of the daughter's death. At one point I got upset and walked outside. There was a large pebble in the garden that looked like a skull, but then it turned out that it was actually a spider, wearing the rock/skull to protect itself.
