I have to agree, aside from the spelling errors, this is a good story.

This bit isn't actually new; I just forgot to post it back in November.
“The captain didn't think it was proper for you to it with us,” he said, rolling his eyes. “He thinks a delicate flower like you shouldn't be in the company of us rough sailors.”
“Sorry to cause trouble,” I said.
The sailor left. Vaughn took one of the soup bowls and began to eat. I took one too. The soup was good. I'd expected chowder ot so,e kind of fish based broth, but it was actual vegetable soup with a beef broth. The roll was a little stale, but it didn't matter since I just dunked it in the soup. By the time I finished eating the coffee had grown cold, so I didn't drink it, but Vaughn sipped his. I'd thought a tough guy like him would've taken it black, but he added lots of cream and sugar.
“Do you do a lot of sailing?” I asked.
“Yeah,” he said.
“Do you like it?”
“I guess. Do you?”
“No,”
He looked at me. “No?”
Chapter...Whatever. I don't even know anymore!
“When I turned 18 I inherited a lot of money from my grandfather. He'd hoped I'd use it for school, but I knew that wasn't right for me. My parents were angry, but I was an adult and there was nothing I could do.
I wanted to see the world, so I bought tickets for a cruise. It was the first time I was ever on a large ship, so I was scared at first, but got over it quickly. But just two days into the cruise a huge storm picked up. It was awful. The wind was so loud and the thunder was deafening.
The ship began taking on water and the captain decided to abandon ship and we began boarding the lifeboats. Suddenly, a huge wave rocked the ship and I fell overboard. If I hadn't been wearing my life vest...
Next ting I knew, I had washed up on the shore of Sunny Island. Taro and his family were there too. Taro told me that everyone had survived the shipwreck...I wonder how he knew that?
Anyway, de decided I should run a ranch on the island. I didn't have much choice. I'd spent most of my money on the cruise tickets and clothes and luggage and stuff. I needed a place to stay and a way to earn money.
Faermining was hard at first, but now I'm starting ti like it,” I finished.
“You gonna drink that?” Vaughn asked, indicating the other cup of cold coffee. I shook my head. As he added cream and sugar he went on,”You survived a shipwreck and now you're on a boat again. You're pretty brave.”
“I guess,” I said. “To tell the truth, I'm pretty scared.”
“Bravery isn't the abscene of fear, it's overcoming it.”
“I've heard that before. I never knew if it was true.” I said.
“It is,”
After he finished the second cup pf cold coffee, Vaughn took the tray and left. I laid down on my bunk in my clothes, staring up at the ceiling. The soft clucking of the hens and the rocking movement of the waves lulled me to sleep.
Hours later I awoke to the sound of a rooster crowing. I sat up on my bed, rubbing my eyes. Not long afterwards, Vaughn came in to check on the hens. Just after he finished a sailor brought in our breakfast. The meal was scrambled eggs, toast and more coffee. There was butter and jam for rteh toast and more cream and sugar for the coffee. The eggs were a little runny, but I ate them all and drank my coffee too.
Gannon had awakened sometime in the night. I went o see him after I ate. Gannon insisted he was fine and that he didn't need to see a doctor.
“What happened anyway?” I asked.
Gannon grew silent. For a long time I thought he wsn;t going to say anything but after a few minutes he began to speak.
“While I was working, I got the heebie-jeebies real bad,” he said. “Kept looking' over my shoulder, thinking I saw something outta the corner of my eye/ But I kept workin'. I had a job to do, you know?” I nodded.
“I just got this strange feeling that I wasn't wanted there. Then...one of my boards flies up and smashes into my face. I blacked out and next thing I knew I was here on this boat.
“I'm sorry, Chelsea. I didn't exactly believe you before, but I do now. There's something on that island and it doesn't want us there.”
I spent the rest of the morning wandering around the ship. There wasn;t much to see and after I wwhieli just watched the waves. I was hoping to see dolphins ot a whale, but all I saw was water. Eventually, I went below deck and too an nap on my bunk.
I awoke some time later to someone getnlt shaking me.
