I am down to my last 9 sunstones. But I encountered a problem with my sunstone gathering. In order to get the sunstones with Nick and Halia, I'll need to make friends with them. The game requires me to have 2 hearts with these two characters.
Problem is: How?
You can't talk to them, because they'll only try to sell you something every time you do. And you cannot give them gifts, manly because they'll try to cook anything you try to give them. Plus they won't accept anything they can't cook.
Does anyone know how to befriend them?
*EDIT*
While I have your attention, does anyone know how to get indigo wonderful stones other than cooking them? After playing so many in game years, I still cannot find any indigo wonderful stones. I have found at least 2 of every other stone.

How to get the sunstones from Nick and Halia, is that you need to BUY FOOD from them every day. Yes, that is a pain in the butt, but there is no other way that I know of.
As for Indigo wonders, you can get them from festivals that you win. If the festival happens on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, you will get it and know that the weather will be stormy (Summer and Winter seasons only). If the festival is on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, you will know that the weather will be snowy.

Thanks for the help for the stones. As soon as I get ANOTHER DS, I'll be able to play my game again. (I gave a Hello Kitty DS game for my niece for her birthday today. But I just found out that her DS was broken by her brother. So I gave her mine.)
I don't understand the process of getting the wonderful stones. Could you say that again in lamen's terms?

The festivals that are contests: (horse, dog, cat, cow, sheep, chicken, fishing, mining, cooking, and best crop) if you come in first, you'll get a wonderful stone. The color of the stone you get will let you know what the weather will be two days after the festival. Here is a chart that should help.
if the festival is on a {} if the festival is on a {} the weather two days later Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu {} Fri, Sat, Sun {} will be ---------------------------{}--------------------------------{}---------------------------------- Yellow stone {} Blue stone {} Sunny ----------------------------{}-------------------------------{}------------------------------------ Red stone {} Yellow stone {} Clear ----------------------------{}-------------------------------{}-------------------------------------- Blue stone {} Orange stone {} Cloudy ---------------------------{}--------------------------------{}---------------------------------- Green stone {} Red stone {} Drizzly ---------------------------{}--------------------------------{}--------------------------------- Orange stone {} Purple stone {} Rainy ---------------------------{}--------------------------------{}------------------------------ Purple stone {} Indigo stone {} Snowy ---------------------------{}--------------------------------{}-------------------------------- Indigo stone {} Green stone {} Stormy (Hurricane\Snowstorm)

I'm not getting what that has to do with actually getting the Wonderful itself. It's neat to know, but I don't think that is what Juxapose is asking.

Then I'm not sure how to answer, except that the festivals where you can win a wonder stone is the other way to get an indigo (or what other color ) stone you are wanting, if you can't cook up the stones.
