...is set in Flowerbud? (That's what HMOtaku says) Now, here's my thought....Many characters are the same as the classic SNES Harvest Moon (Eve, Ann, Nina, Ellen, Maria and their families). Could SoH be set after SNES and before HM 64? Look how much Blue looks like Gray!  ; He could be his grandfather or something. I think Blue marries Ann, who we already know is the grandmother of HM64 Ann. Or it could just be a random game using old characters for nostalgia purposes.   ^Blue He's cute! ^-^ |

hmm, that might be true..............
if eve marries dan, then maybe her taste in men is carried on to karen. you know, karen marries kai who also has a tan.
and btw, to those few ignorant people who think the whole grandparent thing is in mineral town, it's not. it is in flowerbud village, as anyone who's played the game could see, since rick, karen, and popuri all talk about their grandma.
note: rick is ann (the grandaughter)'s cousin.

Is Reon (your rival) a girl or a guy? From what I understand Reon is genderless. So, does anyone else have a comment on my theory? Is Blue Gray's ancestor? What do you think? Does this affect your opinion on the game at all? |

I made this thread for a specific purpose: to discuss whther or not SoH was a prequel to HM64, not to make ranodm comments about SoH.  I'm not trying to be mean, but I really wanted to hear people's thoughts on my theory, so let's stay on topic. |

SoH is simply set in Flower Bud Village and so far doesn't seem to have any storyline connection to HM and HM64. Marvelous is reusing a lot of old personalites and characters, as well as new characters that resemble older ones. SoH was made to try and give a sort of nostalgic feel to the characters, as well as provide a lot of new gameplay for the series.
