Why am I not pleased with Harvest Moon right now.

I'm another that loved IoH. I was frustrated at times when my finger slipped and I dropped something valuable instead of shipping it, but that's rectified by simply tapping on the bin instead of slide-dropping. The fact that it WAS that new, what with the original cast of characters and the new land entirely...That really caught my attention. I've since passed the game on to my sister, and I know she's enjoying it, too. As for M/FoMT...The open-endedness of it is what makes the game for me. I got this game so man years ago...and I'm still turning it on from time to time. I never got over it. I can honestly say, I wouldn't be the same person if I had never played FoMT. For one, it was my first HM title; You can say I'm biased for that if you want. It also offered me something my other gaming titles - Megaman Battle Network and MMX, Morrowind, Phantasy Star - weren't offering. Connectivity to another system. FoMT/AWL linkup was this enormous challenge to 100%, and I actually cried when I finally got all 42 stars and didn't have to do it anymore. I started new files just to do it all over again. I've heard the various remarks about how it's simply a port of BtN with less features and the selfsame screwed up character relations...That doesn't stop it being my favorite HM title, tying for first place with AWL and IoH.

Oh...and you forgot one huge failure that AWL shoved on us. I feel obligated to mention...the goat. That's the single biggest disappointing thing I have ever seen...next to the death, anyway.
