Its written in past tense. Is it now? I do believe I wrote in present. I use a lot of past participles, which are past tense verbs used in a present tense sentence.

..huh? Err... Stuff from the ENGLISH part of literature class, with all that grammer and names of different parts of sentences. You can use words from other tenses in certain ways in a tense, provided they are accompained by certain words. If that still doesn't make sense... Notice this following sentence using a geronde (sp?) to use a present tense verb in a past tense sentence. "Last time I saw him, George was at the store picking up milk." You can do that with any tense, though they are called by different names. Mine are called past participles, and are past tense verbs used in the present tense. (Don't you just hate the english language sometimes?)

I personally like Thrid Person, Past Tense. It is hard for me to write in present tense, for some reason. But I do occasionally write in First person, Past Tense,

I don't like grammer too much... sometimes it can be extremely easy, but other times... bleh.

I found this topic interesting, so I decided to bring it back up from the dead.
Though I usually write in third-person past because it's rather easier to follow and gives you more freedom to explore the surroundeds, I have done first person and it is quite fun. I actually did a second person for a story in class once.

My opinion still hasn't changed since i started this back in 2005. For some reason i can't identify I don't like reading anything written in the present tense. I'm not saying it's bad, just a personal dislike. I did write Cheslea and the Island Mystery from the first person POV though. I don't remember why I chose to do that though.

I originally started with first person past, but lately, I have been writing in third person present. I am debating whether or not should I change that though.

Most of my older stuff is in first person, past. I come from a family of story tellers, so that was the form I grew up hearing. People talking about "that crazy night five years ago" eventually bled into my writing style. It also is great for giving the reader a look into your character's mind. The reader can relate to the speaker more when they feel more personal with them. Just fact.
More recently my writing style as changed into third person, past. Doing so is more common and give you a chance to delve into things like the surroundings. It's great for telling settings.
Anddd... That's just me. ^^

I prefer third person past for longer stories, like novels, and either first person past or third person past for short stories. I haven't read a lot in present tense, but it seems like it would be awkward reading an entire novel in it.
