With college here, and new worries abound, I find myself having a major problem: Writers block. I need to find my muse again. The most I could do for the past two months was a birthday oneshot for someone I know, and a oneshot to break the writers block, which was mostly ineffective.
I told Jux to do the next chapter of Once and Future love while I'm looking for the muse. Believe me when I say I really did try to write the chapter very well, but every time I looked at it, I scrapped it. It was either too short, too confusing, too much of something.
I think I need to go back to my Harvest Moon roots, which is why i'm going to play Harvest Moon Boy/Girl for the PSP.
Wish me luck.

Find a mixed ethnic person. It always works for me.

In my own experience, I usually have writer's block when I lose touch with my muse. When you are writing something, you have something to say, something that reflects your feelings or past experiences. At times, work and school tends to change the way you feel, and causes you to lose touch with what you want to write about. There is nothing wrong with going to school or work, but one must try to hold their feelings and memories dear to them. The best thing to do is remember what made you want to write.
Personally, I write because I want to dedicate my stories to people that I cherish. As long as I keep that in mind, I can always write. True, I also have writer's block, or lose the will to write every now and then. But then I always remember what's important, and regain my spirit.
Once you remember what drives you to write in the first place, then maybe you will be able to write again. It may take time, and you may need to wait until after you graduate college. But try to remember what's important to you. I could say the same thing for artists who love to draw, or do other things as well.
Things that help me remember what I want to write about are the follows: 1. Reread what you already wrote. Every word that you wrote was for a reason. Try to rediscover what you were trying to say in those words. 2. Listen to music. This usually helps me see inside myself, and find some sort of inspiration. 3. Read a book. Not just any book, read what you like to read. There is a reason why you like those books, try to discover why those books are important to you.
That's all the advice I have to give. Good luck in school!

Thanks to some info from Jux, I at least now know the source of my writers block. A big hefty dose of stress caused from going into college and trying to do all the work while keeping my grades up. Time constraints wouldn't be a problem, but I quickly found out that every second counts there.
I decided to just stop thinking for a bit and see if the flow comes back. I will also attempt to do a Bleach mini fic (for those that know the series) that is Vizard centric. It's going to follow the story of a lost shinigami, who during the era of 'turn back the pendalum' was also subjected to hollowfication. Only, he wasn't rescued by Urahara, instead being left in the field to rot. In the end he turned into a hollow.
From there, the tale splits between him and the Vizards. A reunion, training, seeking out Ichigo, training Ichigo, and fighting Aizen.
I have come up with his zanpakuto name and it's ability. It's not Mary-Sue, I double checked with a friend to make sure it's balanced.
If anybody is interested, I'm posting the first chapter here in non-HM fiction sometime Monday. Hope you enjoy the story, it'll be called "Bleach: The Lost Story of the Last Vizard"
