Is the term "Gerudo woman" redundant or not?
I've been thinking about that lately, and I can't decide. It's driving me nuts! >_<
On a more serious note, where all of the Gerudo (excpet Twinrova of course) opposed to Ganondorf? Obviously some were, but it seems to me that some of them would've been loyal to him, right?

The term would most likely be redundant. I know, personally, I always just refer to them as "Gerudo", but I guess it could work either way. Depends on how much the reader or whatever knows about the Zelda games.
And I always thought that the majority of the Gerudo were loyal to Ganondorf? That there was a small, rebellious group against him obviously, but the rest followed him. After all, I've always thought at the Gerudo as a pretty strict race. Like, they'd kick the crap outta ya if you stepped outta line. xD
And going against your crowned leader would probably be considered "out of line". >_>:

All Gerudo follow Ganondorf, except for the Sage of Spirit.
Their culture says that they must follow the man who is born every 100 years or so, in this case Ganondorf. It doesn't matter if they like him or not, but that is how their culture works. There are some who rebel, but they do it in secret. The Gerudo found in the Gerudo fortress were most definitely not the enitre race. But most of them followed the Sage because of her wisdom, loyalty, kindness and experience, but they also followed Ganondorf for fear of his wrath.
That was what was explained to me in Ocarina of Time.

Thanks guys; it's been a while since I played OoT far enough to get to Gerudo Valley...damn water temple! >_<
I know that the majority follow him due to tradition or fear, but are there are that follow him not for those reasons, but because they think he's right in his actions? I guess this is pure speculation, but I'd assume that some of them have to be evil and are totally pro-Ganondorf and his Invade-Hyrule-and-Get-the-Triforce plans?
By the way this is all for Mario's Day Job. I wanted to inlcude at least one Gerudo among his minions, but some of the readers (one in particular) have gotten really nit-picky about my handling of Zelda canon. Never mind that most of the contradictions to Zelda canon are intentional...most people get the joke, but it's frustrating to deal with the few that don't, so I thought I'd get some outside opinions.
So, to sum it up, including a Gerudo among Ganondorf's minions in MDJ would be fine, right?

That sounds fine. Even if the majority are against him or only following him out of fear there'd probably be at least one who agrees with his ideals.

Nah, he's a Smack Jeeves user. He's not a troll or anything, just a know-it-all fanboy. He hasn't commented in awhile, though I'm not sure if it's because I haven't contradicted Zelda canon or because he accepted my "MDJ is an AU" explanation.

We won't complain about cannon. Of course, we may ask you obnoxious questions, such as the faces about the bee pokemon, but...you know, some of us are just dumb.
