Does anyone have any weird or creepy stories to share? I have a few about one of the universities in my city. The Science BuildingThere are a lot of rumors about one of the buildings on the university's campus. What happened was a few different contractors were hired to build one of the science buildings and, supposedly, they couldn't agree on the plans, so they each worked on a wing independently. When the building was finished it was a complete mess--both confusing and dangerous. Apparently there are electrical outlets in the shower, stairwells and doors leading nowhere, and even a classroom that was discovered behind a closet. The construction is apparently so bad that you can go through the halls and mark all of the windows. When you go outside and look there will be some windows that are missed. The truth? I looked into the university newspaper's archive and they tackled a few of the myths: -The classroom behind a closet: True, though it's actually a lab. -Several different contractors working on the building: true. -The electrical outlets in the shower: False, maybe. They didn't actually check themselves, but an employee said it wasn't true. Still, you never know... That's all for now. The newspaper's archive has stories about the underground tunnels as well, so that's next. Then the ghost stories.

I'm sure I posted this story before, but I can't find the thread, so I'll just copy and paste from my LJ:
(Note, these stories are from the house I lived in until last July) We lived in that house for 13 years, and there weren't a lot of specific incidents. Mostly, we'd get that creepy "someone is with you, even though you're alone" feeling. It happened a lot on the side of the house where the garbage cans lived, to the point where we'd drop trash bags on the deck to take out to the garbage cans later when it was daytime. When I couldn't do that, and HAD to throw the trash away at night, I would often run back to the house.
One of the few real experiances that anyone had at the house happened to my sister, not long after we moved in. She saw a little boy standing in her room. She's also heard footsteps when she was alone in the house.
Despite the lack of personal experiances, we all feel that the spirits were not good ones. It's hard to explain, but it's as if all our negative personality traits were exaggerated. Not to say that we didn't grow in good ways too, but it was dispropontional. It's hard to explain, but it's as if we were under a spell, and couldn't escape, and now that we have, I feel more like myself than I have in years.
Now, like I said, there weren't a lot of experiances. 13 years of living there and we have one sighting (okay, that's a pretty big deal) creepy feelings and occasional footsteps. But in the last two weeks that we lived there, the amount of experiances increased a lot. Whatever was in that house was unhappy that we were moving.
On the last night that we spent there, the doorknob on my sister's bedroom turned and the door opened by itself. We spent the next night in the new house, even though we were still moving boxes and stuff from the old house.
Two days after that I was doing some last minute cleaning in my old room. I was alone in the house, though my step-dad had been in the house earlier, so when I heard some banging, I thought he was back. He wasn't. The creepy part is, there wasn't really anything that could have been banging, since the house was empty. Not long after that I heard someone sigh.
A little later, I got that creepy "alone, but not alone" feeling. Now, my door is light, and had been banging softly in the breeze all day (it was NOT the banging I heard earlier). I got creeped out, and asked the presence to leave. Immediatly after that, a gust of wind blew the door open much further than it had been.
Later that day, as the sun was setting, we were getting the last few things out of the yard, and almost ready to leave with the last truckload of stuff, when the back door opened. My stepfather also noticed that a screen in my sister's room, which was very securely fastened in and duct-taped had come loose in the corner. It could NOT have come loose by itself, it had to be pulled. It was secure so that my sister's cat wouldn't pull it off.

I'm pretty sure the store I work in is haunted. There have been lots of times that I felt that creepy feeling that someone is watching you, even though you're alone. Once when I was alone in the produce prep room the feeling was so string that I had to leave the room for a few minutes.
The absoulute weirdest experiance also happened in the produce prep room. The prep room is in the back of the store in an area where customers don't go. I was in the room alone when I heard a little girl's laughter, clear as day. It was coming from the room I was in (not the hallway, even if a child had somehow wandered to that area, the sound would have been muffled)

Butter, on that feeling that you are being watched, there might be a high Electromagnetic Field from a faulty electric outlet.

Well, the produce prep room is where the store's um...whatchamacallits...breaker boxes live, so you might be onto something there, but in my first post, one of the instances where I felt I was being watched happened after the power had been turned off in the house.
So I'm inclined to think there was something there that time at least.

Thanks Butter, if you watch Syfy (formally known as SciFi) channel's show: Ghost Hunters, you do learn that some places that seem haunted, are sometimes overwhelmed with too much Electromagnetic Fields being produced. So those breaker boxes might not be properly shielded.

I do watch that show sometimes; as for the breaker boxes, the store is over thirty years old, so it's a possibilty.

That store one is really creepy, with the laughing.
I admit, if I experienced anything paranormal I don't know what I'd do. If it were my house I'd definitely leave and get a priest to bless it.
Edit: That reminds me of a story my godparents told me. One of their houses was haunted. Most of what they said I don't remember too clearly, but at one point they had a bowl on their table slam on the floor.
Eventually they got my godfather's father (a reverend) and a priest to bless the house, which stopped it.

I knew I'd posted the work story here! I'd actually forgotten some of the stuff that happened when we were moving. I wish we could have moved further away ;_;

I have so many but I'll only share 2. Here goes... Here in the Philippines, there's this building called 'Manila Film Center' or something like that. It was commissioned for a film fest. While it was being built, there was a huge accident and many people died. Imelda Marcos, wife of the president before, was rushed to please the foreigners that she decided to just cover up the dead people with cement so they won't be delayed. They say that the ghosts of the builders buried in the cement haunt the building until now. Next story! My dad had an uncle. They were kind of close. One day, his uncle started to build a fence in my grandparent's house when my dad was a teenager. They built it together and all that was left was to paint it. The uncle then became sick and had to be admitted into the hospital. He said to the nurse a few days before he died that he wanted my dad to paint the fence. Then he died. My dad Immediately painted the fence and finished it before his uncle's burial. His family went to stay in the province for his burial for one night. Even the maids weren't at home. Only my dad was left to take care of the house. He was sleeping when he smelled a candle burning. The house and lot was quite big so it was impossible for him to smell anything burning from the neighbors. My dad says it was the ghost os his uncle, checking to see if the fence was painted. Just felt like sharing them. I have more though =>
