I picked my copy up after work. I've only played for about a half-hour, but so far so good. The characters are very expressive.

I just beat the second dungeon last night. I think it seemed rather short, but I'm not complaining. The boss was fun, once I figured out how to beat him. It only took me three tries, which is some kind of record for me in boss fights #ashamed042jp#
I'm enjoying this game, but it makes me realize just how bad I really am at Zelda games.

I got it on release day, which was the 18th here in Europe. I finished it a while ago, but i'm replaying again through hero mode. It's like a new game plus thing except it makes the game more difficult.
You lose hearts twice as fast and heart plants and hearts in general will not show up unless you get the heart medal. You just have to rely on heart potions. I'm up to the forth dungeon in this mode.
But overall i love this game, i think it just became my favourite Zelda game. This Link is also my favourite now too. So much emotion and i love the music in this game too.

You already beat it?! I'm only in Lanayru Desert. But then I only play for a few hours at a time.

My sister got it as a gift, and I've been distracted by watching her play ever since. This is one of the reasons why I've disappeared recently.
I can't wait until finals are over and I can start playing...

I asked for it for Christmas, but then kind of withdrew the request.
Mom and Dad are getting my brother a camera, so they asked me if there was something nicer I wanted. So, I went with a 3DS, which costs about the same as the camera. Mom seems hesitant, for whatever reason...
But I'm getting off topic. If I don't get the game, I'll buy it with whatever money I get from relatives.

Maybe they got the camera on a really good sale?

Nah, they told me how much it was. It costs about the same as a 3DS. A little bit less, but not "really good sale" less.
Mom's just weird about buying me games, because she thinks I have enough. My library is actually pretty darn small compared to most gamers I know, I've got maybe 25-30 games between my Wii, DS, GBA, and PS2 (not that I'm complaining, or whatever, I'm just saying I really don't have all that many), most of which I've already beaten. She doesn't really get that they don't exactly last forever, you do beat them eventually. The weird thing is (the reason I said "for whatever reason"), she actually didn't object this time when I asked for Zelda, it wasn't until I mentioned the 3DS that she started using the "you've got enough" excuse.
At any rate, I shouldn't have even mentioned it. It wasn't really relevant, and I probably sounded like a spoiled brat asking for something so expensive in these hard times. Honestly, I've got a free roof over my head, and get to beat the cold for a week with our family in Arizona next month (Dad couldn't get Christmas off, so we're going a bit later), that's more than good enough. Whatever I do end up getting is just icing on the cake

I got it.
It's pretty good so far, but the motion controls are a little iffy. It's probably just me (as the controls are one of the things critics keep lauding), maybe if I change the position of the sensor bar it'll work better.

Woo-hoo! I finally got past the mine cart coasters! That was so annoying. I actually got so frustrated that I stopped playing for about two weeks.

The only curse of Zelda games are the arcade sequences. My hubbie stopped playing Twilight Princess for months after he got stuck on one.
