doing sketches for the next MDJ page and I've decided to completely kill the Zelda timeline by having Groose and Linebeck make cameos in it.
but I can't decide who is taller. >.<

Groose, I think by a little And you already killed the timeline by having Ezlo and Navi exist at the same time. And your comic needs more Ghirahim and Fi. Then it's gonna be awesome  |

I'm not very far in Skyward Sword. I haven't had a lot of time to play lately. And I don't want to include huge spoilers, since it's not all that long since the game was released.
Groose is only making a cameo, but Linebeck might have a small role later on.

I ended up drawing Linebeck in the foreground, so it didn't really matter who won. ^^;

It's hard to tell... we've only ever seen Linebeck with "toon" Link, and Groose with the older Link.
If I were to venture a guess, I'd say Groose. I can't explain it, he just seems bigger.

Well, he's certainly more muscular. Link is average height at best, which makes tall characters like Groose look even bigger in comparison.

It's not just that, though.
Linebeck just seems like a shorter guy, for some really odd, pathological reason. Maybe it's the personality?
I never finished Phantom Hourglass, but from what I do remember about him, he wasn't nearly as full of himself, nor drew nearly as much attention to himself.
I guess Groose, besides being more muscular, is just "larger than life"?

You have to take relative sizes in account, as well. Disregarding art styles, Linebeck's only average height for a normal human. Had Link been fully grown in PH, he would've only been a few inches shorter than Linebeck. Furthermore, his sickly cast and weak demeanor make him seem a little shorter than he really is.
Groose stands a full head taller than a fully-grown Link, and has a much more muscular build. Bodybuilders tend to look taller than they really are because of their mass. Therefore, Groose wins. I'm sure he's thrilled.
Linebeck can take satisfaction in having a girlfriend, though.
