Last week the Hardened-PHP Project has announced several serious and according to them, easy-to-exploit vulnerabilities within PHP. So now we have the NeverEverNoSanity worm with many different variants. Example of code from a defaced site: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">

Examples of vulnerable scripts: - phpBB2 - Invision Board - vBulletin - Woltlab Burning Board 2.x - Serendipity Weblog - phpAds(New) - ... While proboards isnt listed here I still thought it was important that everybody out there knows about this worm. It seems that php versions prior to 4.39 are affected. If you are running any of the above boards and you have not upgraded to php version 4.39 then do so immediately. If you pay for hosting then contact your sysop about what version of php you have. |

Ohhh the irony...When I checked on my forum tonight it was gone. A victim of the NeverEverNoSanity worm.   After all my work and effort I put in it. I hope nobody else runs into this nasty little worm. |
