Yay! I think it was the best of the three movies, and I'm looking forward to watching it. Anyone else buy it?

Why you and not me? Each book was better than the last, so will be the movies. She is improving with each writing, just like I am with my Fanfic.

I hate how they "trim the fat" of these book->movie things...the later HP movies(like 5...850+pages) will not be able to be done well unless they ressurct the intermission thing.

Intermissions... I remember those... That was awesome!
But think about Titanic, it was still longer than any of the HP movies thus far.

Goblet of fire will be destroyed! they're already filming it and it's only one movie, and we'll be lucky to get another 2 and a half hour one. they can't afford all the special effects to keep everything in it. it's going to be butchered!
I have the third DVD too. I got a picture cell with it of Harry riding buckbeak!
They didn't have harry winning the quidditch cup in it and they changed the story around quite a bit. oh well. so goes the life of a purist who wants an exact replica of the book on film.
still enjoyable to watch!

I still haven't watched the DVD yet! Interesting note: my mother and sister haven't read the books, but they've seen all three movies and PoA was their favorite.

the thing about the first two movies is that they're pretty close to the books, but at the same time, they're considerably dumbed down for children. Hollywood directors and executives tend to think that movie-goers, and particularly younger ones, are complete idiots.
part of what makes the books so good is rowling's is the sarcasm, wit, and humor that is in her writing, much of which was strained out to present only the action and bare story of the movie. I enjoyed the movies quite a bit, but I wish they didn't feel that they had to do that.
The third movie was darker and more dramatic, even if I do think my favorite scene in the whole book was destroyed. I liked it a lot.
