with nintendo, because what got me into gaming was a little thing called the Gameboy. I still thank my grand parents for getting it for me when I was 7.
anyway, my mom was really damn adamant about me and my little brother not getting any Nintendo DS's. we told her we would paint the house, re-tile the bathroom, that we would basically do damn near anything for a 2 DS's(1 for me, 1 for my bro). she still wouldn't do it. then, on the 22nd, a shining ray of hope: my dad is browsing a site the equivalent of the classifieds, looking for 2 nintendo DS's. anyway, my dad gets mad because the cheapest ones, were a package deal, Mario 64 DS with the DS for $230. me and my brother say the wrong things, and my dad drives off on his motorcycle for time to cool off. he comes back around 8PM, and what does he do? he takes the crap to end all craps(just kidding), and then tosses 2 DS's and games on the kitchen table.
and thats why my mom has a vendetta with nintendo, for making the most kickass protable released in the states to date.

I got lucky as hell.....but my mom is living it up in Hawaii, so why does she get a say in that?
