Apparently, he goes beserk over video games. I've never heard of him before until today. TWICE. Now, the guy is against video games like mad. Now, I'm sure you've all heard of the "Hot Coffee" incident of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Read Thompson's open letter, then read a response made by a gamer who writes game related stuff for this website. Now, I'm all for upping GTA:SA's rating up to Adults only, but this guy takes it too far, trying to bash the entire video game industry. Now, just a few minutes ago, while looking at a topic at GameFAQ's Nintendo DS General board, I found out that Thompson is now trying to push for Nintendo DS release title Feel The Magic XX/XY for an M rating for a nude scene upon completing Hell mode. First, take a look at FTM's art style: Now, how can you get any real nudity with a style like that? A quote from a GameFAQ user : " There is no nude scene. After beating the 'Hell' difficulty, you unlock invisible clothes for your girlfriend. It's all shaded in, you can't see anything.
That doesn't seem bad. And the game is rated T and IIRC, has either the Suggestive Theme or Sexual Themes sub-rating. However, this was never confirmed. Also, he was bashing Zelda: Ocarina of Time because of the look of the Great Fairies. I think the dude's gone too far. There are many more forms of media that can give children access to violence and sex better than video games. He has a site at www.stopkill.com.
