Chapter Two: Isn't this Odd?
I changed into her outfit and headed outside. I decided to let Koro out too, that way he didn’t pee on the floor in the house. I started out of the farm and started along to explore. After about 10 minutes of searching, I found a grocery store! Upon walking in I saw a bunch of people. I stopped to chat.
“H-hi….” The girl with glasses and black hair said “You must be new” she started to look around. “This is a great p-place…..I’m Mary”
“Claire” I said sticking my hand out. “Its nice to meet you, you’re the first girl I’ve met here!”
“Have you met and one e-else?” she said in a quiet voice
“Yes,” I said “Gray” I let out a sigh and rose up then down. Mary gave me a look.
“He’s mine sister!” she exclaimed jokingly. “You like him too?” she said even quieter. “He’s the greatest guy in Mineral Town!” I said, even though I haven’t met everyone. I heard a door open.
“Hey Claire” I heard a familiar voice “Hi Mary, Claire?”
“Yes?”
“May I speak with you outside?” he asked. We headed out the door.
“I was wondering, we are having the horse races on the 18th, which is in two weeks and a day, and since Barley and my grandpa are to old to race, we were wondering if you wanted to race” I was taken back by this.
“But I don’t even have a horse, and you’d have to teach me.”
“You can keep the horse you will race with, if you do race” we started to walk along the path. “I’ll show you. His name is Odd.” I followed him to Barleys. I saw an old guy.
“So, you got him to come……Holy smokes! It’s a girl!”
“Anything wrong?!” I said clenching my teeth and stepping forward.
“No, no” he said backing up and holding his hand in front of him and waving them. Id walked over to a horse and petted him. He was white and had a black saddle on him. His eyes were blue and green. Different colors.
“I take it this is Odd?” I asked, still petting him.
“Yes” Gray nodded. He threw me a brush. “If your going to learn to ride a horse, and keep a horse, your going to have to learn to care for it” he went into the barn and fetched a bucket and told me to fill it up with water. I did and walked back out of the barn.
“Now take the brush and put it in the water” Barley had gotten some soap and put it in also.
“Now scrub” he said. I did as he told.
“No, no, your doing it all wrong,” Gray said. He grabbed my hand, moving it back and forth on the horses coat. I blushed. It wasn’t red, it was more of a crimson. I saw Gray blushing to.
Our heads moved and we kissed.
Barley shook his head.
“Kids these days, back in my day we didn’t get to pick who we liked……..” he kept muttering about when he was young. I was the first to pull away. He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back. We continued to brush the horse.

It was late when we finished. The horse looked gorgeous. His coat shining like a light. Gray walked me home and we kissed goodnight.
Authors notes: This Chapter was short too. I know some people wanted to read it so I typed it pretty fast. Claire and Gray. To good to be true? Maybe it is.

Hehe...sorry I rushed you. IT WAS REALLY GOOD! Now you have to type the next one...but take your time. I just realized you never rushed me...so I guess I won't rush you. It's really good so far! I'm glad Gray and Claire kissed! Hehe, Gray is cool. Well anyways...good story!
