Kiki's tango of farm life

Like the start of many Harvest moon Storys, kiki had gone to her grandpa’s farm many times, after he passed away she clamed the farm from him.

We start at the train station in the city. Kiki packed the last of her belongings in to trunk compartment, she wondered what farm life would be like. She had played many times there but didn't help out, She look one last long look at her city home and got teary eyed and went in side the train

The train stopped kiki was awakened by the, an odd sound, she opened the window to see the town people all lined up waving flags and banners. She gave a look of horror many of the said:" Kiki saver of Lilly pad" on them and "Hail Kiki" too. She came out of the train and was greeted by the mayor "Welcome to Lilly pad dear Kiki, I’m Mayor Samson" he said as he shake her hands. Kiki was over whelmed "Um what up with the fanfare and stuff" she said trying to remove the tight grip the mayor had on her hands. The mayor grinned "Why your are a hero" he said, looked confused "I am?" she looked around. The mayor said "Yes your going to save the farm and this town" she gave a double take"Im am?!?!!”<br>Kiki finally got to the farm after talking to the mayor; he told her that the town was going down after her grand father died. Before there was many people traveling threw the town to sample the fine farm grown fruits and veggies but when her grand father died they went to the supper markets in the city for fast and mass farmed foods. They started loose money and many people move to the south to the city leaving the remaining town people the scratch a living. That when he said that all she had to do is grow fine produce and it all go back to the way things were. There was a slight problem she had no idea how to care for a farm at all.

Chapter2:A farm from scratch

Kiki finally got to the farm after talking to the mayor; he told her that the town was going down after her grand father died. Before there was many people traveling threw the town to sample the fine farm grown fruits and veggies but when her grand father died they went to the supper markets in the city for fast and mass farmed foods. They started loose money and many people move to the south to the city leaving the remaining town people the scratch a living. That when he said that all she had to do is grow fine produce and it all go back to the way things were. There was a slight problem she had no idea how to care for a farm at all.

Now we come to kiki at the farm her grandpa and her once played in, she had many happy memories, play with the dog, pulling the cows tails and eating the strawberries from the patch. She stood there mouth open at the state of the farm it had only bin three year since her grandpa died, the place was a horror the barn was in disrepair, the coop had a hole in it, the fields had weeds growing wild and the house she was expected to live in was a mess. She had to stand there and take in this horror, a town’s person came by and greeted her “I see you found the farm aright, isn’t a beauty?” she still was staring in horror at the mess before her. She slowly turn to him and gasped he was the most handsome man she had ever seen in her life “It shore is” she lied to him, he smiled and turned to home “By the way my name is Carver, let me know when you need help” with that he left. She walk in a dream like take till she ran in the barn and remembered it dawned on her she had forgot to ask him for help.

She when to the house and next to it was a note “Dear Kiki, I left this lumber for you so you can make repair on the farm the tools are in the shed so you can fix things and some faming tools and a bag of seeds, love Carver” she stared with even more horror she had no idea how the fix anything let alone plant seeds. She made a try at picking up the planks and dragged them to the front of the house after getting some tools and was going to start when a bark caused her to throw the hammer threw the window. She jumped and turns around with a stick in her hand a puppy was sitting at her feet with a note on his collar that read “Here is a puppy, please train him well you’ll need him for the wild dogs” Kiki looked at him “w-wild dogs!?!?” she hears a howl in the distance as she rereads the note looked on the back and saw something “P.S. You need to build him a dog house” she looked the house there was a dog house there already “What’s wrong with wrong with this one?” she said as she patted the old dog house as she did it fell to pieces and she sighed deeply and sat to the ground and started to cry causing the puppy to howl. She turned to him and said” I guess you need a name…I’ll call you…..Sparky “she said as she pets him “some how we need to make it on are own” she said and put him down and started over…<br>#nosmileys

Chapter 3: Not so much of a wonderful life

We find kiki the day after she came to the farm so loved by her grand father and things were fairing a little better for her, the house was fixed up a little better, but window was still broken. It was nice and clear the next day, Kiki was woke by a load sound, she fell out of bed and hit the ground as the church bells rang to wake the town folk. Kiki gave quick look at the old clock in the in room “It’s five o clock in the morning!!!” she rubbed her eyes indeed it was five in the morning. She rolled out of bed and went to get dressed; Kiki was a city girl unlike her grandpa she most at home in the city and could not jump right in to farm life so easily as everyone thought she would.

Kiki walked out and feed sparky and the went to the barn and got a another shock there was a hungry angry cow she mooed at her, Kiki looked around quickly and saw a fodder soot, she walked up and gave it a press but it was bare.Kiki remembered there was a pasture in the back of the barn so she gave the cow a push, its not as easy as the game make it seem she was very heavy and refused to move till she got feed. She gave her a push but she was not going to move so she ran out to pasture to pull some grass out to lure her out and got nasty surprise, there in front of her saw a very large bull( Carver had put out side so that kiki didn’t have to with deal him and you know what). She ran in side scared out of her life and got another angry moo from the cow “What do you want from me? I’m trying” she then realizes Carver was in the barn, she blushed and thought she must look really dumb. He gave a sweet smile causing her to blush more “I see you met old Samson no worry he a big mush” and with that he walked out in to the pastures.

Carver had helped move the cow kiki now knows as Bess out in the pasture with Samson and they stopped to have lunch together, Kiki found out that Carver had grown up helping on her grand father’s farm. He loved the farm and gave him a promise to help Kiki take care of it and that he had spent three years looking for and when he found her he send her the letter to come to Lilly pad. She was not listening after the part about the promise the to help her, slip in to a dream state at thought of working along side Carver. He was still talking when he asked “…..and I love to see the…are you alright?” Kiki snapped out of it and lied again “oh yes I do too” He gave her sweet smile again “Well I have to go” he got up and waved good bye to her. Kiki thought that things really are not going to be to bad for her after all.
