Yeah, me too. I really rushed to get to the end of Melody. Oh well, I'm going to try to keep a good pace on this one. Not to rushed, and not to slow.

HAHA! I HAVE DONE IT! I have finished the 3rd chapter. Here it is.
Chapter Three: The Rescue
"Popuri, where is Gray?" dad asked, looking concerned. "Did he go off looking for Jon, alone?" Popuri nodded and burst into tears.
"My baby didn't come home so Gray went to look for him." she sobbed. "Niether of them came back!" Dad started out the door but mom caught his arm.
"Stay here Cliff, I will go and look for them." she said quickly. Dad opened his mouth to argue, but mom had already walked out into the hurricane. Tears started streaming down my face as I worried about three people I cared about, dearly.
Mother is always here to help me, when I need her. I can't talk to dad about everything that goes on in my life. She also takes care of me when I am sick, and works to keep a roof over my head, and food in my stomach.
Gray is shy, but sweet. He is like a second dad to me, caring for me like my own father. He even snuck me some wine once when I went over to his house. I think he is pretty cool.
Jon is my best friend. I would do anything for him, even risk my own life. Yes, I love him. No, he doesn't know it. He is fun to be around, not to mention cute. When Brandon and I fight, he always sides with me.
Brandon came over and pulled me into a hug for the first time in our lives. Usually when I cried he laughed at me. "They will be okay." he whispered in my ear. I then noticed he was trying to hold back tears. "Mom will find Gray and Jon, and she will bring them here. I promise." In my heart I hoped this was true, but there was a possibility that my life could come tumbling down this very day if mother didn't return with the two. Brandon let go of me and walked into our room. I went over to Popuri and clung onto her like a scared child and we cried together. Dad sat at the table looking pale, and scared. It seemed like hours went by, but it was really only minutes.
Popuri and I went to sit at the table with dad, and talk. Brandon also joined us after a little while.
"Anyone know any good jokes?" I sniffed. Brandon raised his hand and started bouncing up and down in his seat. I smiled, hinting him to tell us.
"One day a little kid was praying on his bed. His dad listened to him from the doorway of his bedroom. The little boy said, 'Dear God, please be with mommy, daddy, and grandma.' The kid then crawled into bed and went to sleep. That dad kept wondering why he didn't pray for grandpa. The next day, the grandpa died. That night the dad listened again. The kid said, 'Dear God, please be with mommy, and daddy.' So then the next day grandma died. The dad thought it was kind of strange, and then noticed it was narrowed down to the mom and dad." Brandon took a breath and then continued. "The dad listened from the doorway and the kid said, 'Dear God, please be with mommy.' The dad felt scared and went to sleep. The next morning he took off work and stayed in bed all day, fearing that he could die next. When his wife came home she went into the bedroom and said, 'Honey, the weirdest thing happened today. The mailman died.'" Dad, Brandon and I started laughing hysterically while Popuri just sat there.
"I didn't get it." she pouted. "Tell me what that means!"
"It means the mailman was the dad of the kid." I told her. She then started laughing loudly. I rolled my eyes and looked over at Brandon and smiled. He can always cheer you up if you are sad. We all sat silent for a moment and then three figures burst through the door.
The one that was mom scrambled to her feet as dad embraced her. Popuri fell onto her knees next to Gray as I did the same for Jon. I flung my arms around him.
"I'm so glad you are okay!" I screeched. "I thought you might be..."
"Dead?" he finished. "Of course not. It was only a hurricane. I took shelter in the cave up there."
"ONLY A HURRICANE?" mom started again. "Only a hurricane? When I was 17 a tree fell on me while I was stuck out in a hurricane! If it wasn't for Cliff..."
"She wouldn't be here right now. And niether would Melanie or Brandon." dad said. "Two broken ribs, and cancer in her stomach. Ha, Doc scares me sometimes. He can't tell kids from cancer?" Dad rolled his eyes and sighed.
"Some people just aren't as smart as they should be." mom sighed. She pointed at dad when he wasn't looking and giggled softly. I smiled at her, and sighed. I hope Jon and I end up like them someday.
"So, do you guys want to stay here until the hurricane is over? You are always welcome here you know." Brandon said, nodding towards Popuri, Gray, and Jon. They smiled and everyone sat down at the table. Dad pulled something out of the drawer sitting behind him and held it up in the air.
"Anyone want to hear a story?" he asked happily. Mom sighed angrily while Gray smiled. "Come on everyone, I want to read Cinderella."
"Dad, you are to old for story books." Brandon said. Dad shot him a glare. "You are an adult."
"I am not!" he objected. "I'm not 18 yet!" Mom punched him in the arm and dad cringed. "Ow, I guess it does work anymore, does it?" She shook her head and took the book from him. I went over to look in the drawer and pulled out a small booklet with the word 'Diary' on it.
"Hey mom, what is this?" I asked holding it up for her to see. "Is it your diary?"
"No, it was my mothers." she answered calmly. "I think we know what story we are going to be telling for story time." she said, looking at all the adults.

Lol...okay...thank you. I'm going to try to write more on my others for a little while. A couple hints for upcoming chapters...
Chapter 4- (Not a hint) Melody is going to tell the story of her life. (Might be kind of boring...considering most of you know what her life was like from Melody.)
Chapter 5- (Hint) Richard gets revenge.
Chapter 6- Cliff...gets even more depressed than he already is.
And that is all the futher I must go. If I went any further...you might find out what is going to happen. That's some pretty good hints if you ask me. You probably already know what will happen...

Okay, awesome. I never looked on here, but I will read it on ff.net and make a review! ^_^ Oh, and I'm changing the hints! Scratch those out. Melody gave me a good idea...so I have to use it before I do my idea...
Chapter 4- Melody tells the story of her life.
Chapter 5- Popuri and Gray go off to the city...(not to live.)
Chapter 6- Richard gets revenge.
Chapter 7- Cliff gets...depressed. Really depressed.
Well that's all I can tell you.

I must post more...the boring chapter is next. BEWAR. I thought of it as extremely boring. Basically what it is, is a story of Melody, kind of for the people who didn't read it, but are reading this. I'm confusing myself...well anyways...here it is.
Chapter Four: Story Time
"Okay so when I was 14..." mom started.
"Wait, does anyone want popcorn or something? This might take a while." dad interrupted. Mom smacked him in the head playfully and returned to telling her story.
"When I was 14, my mom and I faught a lot. She told me not to do this, and not to do that." she said. "She told me not to go out with a guy named Richard, but I didn't listen. So one day we found out that I was going to have a baby."
"At 14?" Brandon asked, surprised. She nodded and continued.
"Well, a couple days later I went to see Richard, and he was drunk, after hanging out with his friends." Dad sat in his chair with his arms crossed, and looked like he was pouting. "I told him about the baby, and he punched me, and pushed me down. Well, the next day, we found out the baby died." Mom sighed.
"Aww, that's so sad mom." I said. She put up her hand to quiet me down.
"I wasn't finished!" she snapped. "A couple days after that I went to see Richard again. We talked it over, and finally I forgave him, and I can't think of why I did such a stupid thing. Well that night when I was walking home...I saw something floating down the stream." she choked out. She pursed her lips together tightly and closed her eyes. Dad stopped pouting and wrapped his arms around her.
"You don't have to tell them the rest, Sweetie." he said soothingly. "If you don't want to talk about it, you don't have to." Mom sniffed loudly and then dad let go of her. She shook her head.
"My dad was floating down the stream." she finally got out. "I ran home and called for my mother, and she followed me over to the stream, and she got his body out and laid him on the ground."
"That's horrible..." Jon mumbled. Mom put her hand up to make him stop talking.
"I'm still not done!" she said loudly. "So, a week later, my mother killed herself. I was taken away to an orphanage, but before I went I told Richard the stupidest thing ever! I told him that I would love him forever no matter what happened. Well, things did happen, and I didn't love him in the first place. I just wanted someone I could go back to once I turned 18 and was released from the orphanage."
"So you didn't love Richard?" I asked. "Wasn't he that guy you were throwing eggs at earlier?"
"Yeah, that's the guy." Dad answered. "He just won't give up!"
"It's okay Cliff, at least we know I will never love him. Calm down." mom said. Dad sat back in his chair and resumed his pouting state. "So, at the orphanage, I had no friends. Betty the owner, was an evil witch!" she sneered angrily. "I would just like to take a sickle and..."
"Mom, I think we get the point." Brandon said, rolling his eyes. "She is the evilest evil person alive, right?" Mom nodded and continued.
"I was still depressed about my miscarriage and my parents, so I would often cry myself to sleep. Well, your father here slept on the bottom bed of our bunk bed. One night after everyone was asleep he crawled up and wiped my tears away. He then told me everything would be okay." Mom took dad's hand and he couldn't help but smile. "So, after that night we would occasionally say 'hi' to each other. At that point you could say I was going crazy thinking about him day and night..."
"Kind of like how Melanie thinks about..." Brandon started. I kicked him in the leg really hard and he let out a yelp. "Never mind. Please continue."
"One day I was gardening with some other orphans and Betty came to check on my work. I hadn't eaten in about three days, and collapsed. Betty slapped me and told me to go to my room. I had an hour to recover and then get back to work." Dad got excited and started in on the story.
"Well after seeing that Betty sent me to work in the kitchen. I got some food and an icepack and snuck into the room to see Melody. We talked for a while, and she ate the food I brought her." Dad took a breath and then started again. "Betty came in and found that I had snuck out of the kitchen and went to slap me when..."
"I got between them and got slapped myself." mom finished. "After that Cliff and I were best friends. We could talk about anything with each other. But, Betty got so mean that I ran away at age 17. I came here to Mineral Town, where I didn't have many friends except Ann, Karen, and Popuri." Popuri smiled and giggled.
"What about me?" Gray asked rudely. Mom glared at him, but then her face softened up.
"You weren't my friend when I first got here. You tended to avoid me considered the amount of pranks Karen and I pulled on you. Like that one time when we took your underwear and pink dye..."
"Yeah, I remember!" Gray said loudly. "That was so mean!"
"That's why one pair of his underwear are pink!" Popuri laughed. "Not that I look to see what color they are..." she mumbled. Mom started laughing until tears started rolling down her face.
"That reminds me of the day Gray was walking to work without pants!" she laughed. Popuri, mom, and I broke out into a fit of giggles while Gray slid down in his seat, blushing. "Oh, and when I went to wake Cliff up that day he was wearing boxers with ducks on them!" mom choked up. The giggling continued until Popuri was rolling on the floor with laughter while tears were running down mine and mom's cheeks.
"Can we just get back to the story?" Jon asked impatiently. "I want to hear the rest."
"Sorry Jon..." mom sighed after her laughter subsided. Popuri hopped back onto her seat and we waited to hear more. "Well, Cliff ran away to and I found him outside my door one night. I gave him food and decided to let him sleep on a hammock outside for a while. Well, things go a little hard once he started to act way to childish."
"I'm sorry...I wasn't 18 yet!" dad shot back. "Seriously!"
"Yes, but... oh forget it." mom waved her hand at him. "Anyways, Gray and I sort of liked each other so we went our for about 3 days or so. I broke up with him because Cliff was getting jealous."
"WAS NOT!" dad said loudly. "Okay...maybe a little..."
"More like a lot. It broke my heart to lie to Cliff about having a boyfriend, but then he found out and got mad at me for not telling him. So, Cliff and I were fighting, and Gray and I were just friends. It seemed like my life was coming to an end..." mom sighed. "But then one day Duke got drunk, one day when Cliff was in town. I decided to find Cliff and tell him that I loved him, after all these years."
"Aww, how romantic!" Popuri squealed. "Tell us more!"
"Well, once I entered the square Duke had a gun pointed at him. He said that he saw Cliff kissing Manna the other day." mom laughed. "Of course he couldn't have because I was with him day and night, because he was sick that week. Well, Duke didn't believe me and went to pull the trigger when..."
"Melody pushed me out of the way and got shot herself." dad finished. "I felt so bad! Duke ran off, so I carried Melody to the clinic. She told me she loved me, but I ignored her because at that point her life was more important that what she had said." Dad kissed mom on the cheek and they smiled. Mom started to tell the story again.
"So, Doc fixed the problem, and Cliff finally admitted that he loved me too." she sighed. She started to giggle, but then went on. "One day when Cliff went to work I found my mother's diary. I found out that, she had killed my father because he was cheating on her. I had a temper tantrum and ran from the house, when it started to rain. Gray talked some sense into me and then Cliff and I returned home together."
"Once we got there I went to get the mail, and Melody had gotten a letter and a really nice magazine with underwear in it..." Dad said. Mom nudged him in the side.
"Okay, enough with the underwear. Anyways, the letter was from Richard, which still thought I loved him. He came to visit me and then Cliff found out that I had been pregnant with his child when I was 14 and that I said I loved him. I told Richard that there was no 'us' anymore and he left." mom looked down at the table and continued. "I started to cry because I thought Cliff hated me, and then ran up to the mine. Gray talked some sense into me again, and I stayed in the mine, until it started to rain and thunder."
"I went out looking for Melody in the hurricane and called for her. Finally something knocked me over and it turned out to be Melody." he chimed. "We started to walk back together when there was a crash, and the next thing I know, I was pushed onto the ground while your mother fell and got crushed by a tree."
"Is that why you freak out whenever there is a hurricane?" Brandon asked. Mom nodded, and smiled. Dad sat back in his chair while mom told the rest.
"Cliff lifted the tree enough for me to scoot out from under it. He carried me to the clinic where Doc took x-rays and said that I had 2 broken ribs." mom poked her stomach. "He then said that something that looked like cancer in my stomach showed up also. Well, I found out that I was having you guys!" she said happily.
"Yeah, and she didn't tell me!" dad said angrily. "She was starting to scare me. She was eating everything! And she got mad so easily...gosh."
"Well he finally found out and well, we basically lived happily ever after, the end." mom said quickly. "So, that's how the story goes! Pretty boring, huh?"
"No it's not boring at all!" I said. "Wow, mom I never knew what happened to you, but...wow!"
