ok i started this fanfic a while ago and posted it on another website so i decided to post it hear. it's not that good but i enjoy writing.

Chapter 1: The arrival

“I can’t wait to get to the city! Finally I can start my career! I mean, how was I ever supposed to get my dream job in my little old town!” I told my puppy Shadow.
It was a bright spring day and the waves were calm as the boat drifted on through the ocean.
“We are now arriving in Mineral Town!” I heard an announcer say through a speaker. “Please be ready to get off the boat!”
“Ah, finally.” I said as I picked up my bag in one hand and held my puppy in the other. “Wow, it sure doesn’t look like a big city to me.”<br>I boarded off the boat and saw a short, chubby man staring right at me.
“And you are?” I asked him.
“Why, I’m the Mayor of this town!” He told me. “My name is Thomas.”<br>“Oh, hi. My name is Jill.” I told him.
“Now, come along so I can show you to your farm.” He said.
“Farm! What are you talking about!?” I screamed.
“Why, the farm your going to work on of course!” He replied.
“This article in the paper told me I could have the job of my dreams!” I told him.
“Why yes, this farm is the job of your dreams!”<br>“No it isn’t! I want to be a nurse!” I yelled.
“Well we already have a nurse for this little town, sorry.”<br>“uhhh…” I sighed. “Well I guess I could give it a try. What’s my pay?”<br>“you decide that. Depends on how hard you work.” He told me. “Well, we better go now.”<br>“ok…” I mumbled as we started walking.

When we got there I realized that this farm was NOT my dream job. The field was all covered in stumps, rocks and tons and tons of weeds! The barn and chicken coop were all old, and what looked like the house was none more than the size of my old bedroom!
“You expect me to live here?” I said, giving that NOT LIKELY kind of look.
“Well it may take a lot of work but I think you’ll get the hang of it.” He told me. “Would you like me to tell you a little bit about farming?
“Ok, I guess it wouldn’t hurt.” I said, sighing.
“Ok then…………” He said.
[Two hours later]
“And that just about ends my short little explanation.” He said happily.
Short? I thought. More like completely long and boring! I was struggling to stay awake!
“Well, you better get some rest now.” He said. “See you later!”
“Bye!” I yelled as he walked out.
I stared out at the open field and sighed.
“Who am I kidding?” I told myself as I sighed again. “I’ll never get this all done!”<br>

second chapter

Chapter 2: Mineral Town

The next day I decide to go out into the town to buy some seeds. As I was looking around I noticed a large building that read Inn and just then I heard my stomach growl. So I opened the door and…<br>“Boo!” yelled a girl about my age with a long, orange brade and some blue overalls.
“uhh, hi?” I said, kind of freaked out.
“Sorry, I’m a little hyper right now. Hehe.” The girl told me.
Just then a man with orange hair and a moustache came up and grabbed the girl and sat her in a chair at one of the tables.
“I’m sorry, Ann likes sugar, a lot!” He told me jokingly. “Oh, My name is Doug, welcome to the Inn. Would you like to order something?”<br>“I’d love too! But I don’t have much money….” I told him.
“Don’t worry! Everyone gets their first meal here free!” Ann said happily.
“Really, wow, thanks.” I said with a smile. “Uh, I’ll have an omelet and some orange juice.” I said as I walked over to the table where Ann was and looked at the menu.
“Coming right up!” Doug exclaimed.
“Oh hey Ann, whose this?” A boy about my age with brown hair and a hikers outfit said as he walked down the stairs.
“Oh this is Jill!” Ann said excitedly. “Jill, Cliff, Cliff, Jill. Come sit down with us!”<br>“Uh, ok.” He said shyly.
“Hi, it’s nice to meet you!” I said with a hand out to shake.
He shook my hand and sat down without saying anything.
“So Ann, is Cliff your boyfriend?” I asked stupidly.
Cliff and Ann both blushed a bright red. “Well uh, sorta.” Ann said shyly.
“Foods ready!” called Doug as he slipped out of the back room and put the food on the table. “Enjoy! Just make sure to come back ok?”<br>“Wow, thanks! This looks great!” I said as I started stuffing my face.
Everyone stared at me.
“What?” I said, embarrassed. “It’s hard work running a farm you know!”<br>We all started to laugh. Wow, who thought there would be such nice people in this town!
“Well, I have to go now guys, see ya later. And thanks again!” I said happily as I walked out of the Inn.

Oh ya, I was supposed to get some seeds! I thought as I started looking for the supermarket again. Ah, here we are!
I went in and saw a man with black hair and a weird outfit clutching his stomach.
“Uh, are you ok?” I asked.
“Oh don’t mind him, he gets a lot of stomach aches.” A girl with long blond hair a bit darker than mine said.
“Oh, I see. By the way, my name is Jill.” I said.
“My name is Karen.” She said. “Nice to meet you.”
I went over to the stand with seeds. “I’ll by some turnip seeds please.” I said.
“Ok, and here are some grass seeds, on the house.” Karen said nicely.
“Wow! Thanks!” I said as I left the store.
I must be dreaming. I thought. This town is too nice!
I met some other nice people but it was getting late so I decided to go back to the farm and work some more.

By now I had almost cleared the whole field! Except there were some big rocks and stumps that my tools couldn’t seem to break. . I watched the farming channel on T.V. and they said I need to get them upgraded at the blacksmiths. So I fed my dog and headed to the blacksmiths to get them upgraded.
“Hello, what do you want?” Said an old man’s deep voice. It kind of creeped me out.
“Oh, uh, I would like to get my axe upgraded.” I said quietly.
“You’ll need an ore and 1000 gold.” He told me.
“An ore? Oh, I didn’t know I needed one, I’ll come back later.” I said.
“I’ve got an extra one.” I heard a shy voice from behind the man say. “Here.”<br>“Hi. Thanks.” I said to the boy, He was so cute! And nice. “My name is Jill.”<br>“M-my name is Grey.” He said shyly. “Nice to meet you.” He said, sort of blushing.
I gave the man my axe and started to leave.
“Wait!” The boy said. “Um, would you maybe like to go somewhere sometime?”<br>“Hm? Sure. I’d love to.” I said.
“Great! Um, how about a walk in the mountains tomorrow?”<br>“Sure that would be great! See you then!” I said and then walked out.

I ran to the Inn to tell Ann. Her and I had become great friends in the past week or so I’ve been here.
“Ann guess what?” I asked, but didn’t give her time to answer. “Grey asked me out!”<br>“Really? That’s great! Do you like him?” She asked.
“Ya I think so!”
“You think so?” We both started laughing.
“Oh but you better watch out for Mary!” Ann said getting a more serious look.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because she really likes him and last time he went on a date with someone besides her, she looked like she was ready to kill the girl!” Ann said putting a stupid maniac look on her face. We both laughed.
“Oh, I didn’t know he had a girlfriend.” I said, my smile fading.
“Oh no!” Ann said. “She’s not his girlfriend! He doesn’t like her.”<br>“Oh ok.” I said, relieved. “See you Ann!” But I was still a little nervous, I new Mary but she didn’t seem to like me that much.

third chapter:

Chapter 3: Two Guys?

The next day I finished my chores early and then got changed into my blue jeans and my yellow number 27 T-shirt. I put my hair in a pony and went over to the blacksmiths.
“Hi Grey!” I said nicely as I stepped into the blacksmiths. “Ready to go?”<br>“Oh Jill your axe is ready!” Grey’s Grandfather said.
I picked it up.
“Ok lets go now.” Grey said.
We walked out the blacksmiths together. It was silent until we walked past Gotz’s house.
“So do you like being a blacksmith?” I asked him.
“Ya, but my grandpa is so hard on me for every little thing!” He replied.
“I know whet you mean.” I said, feeling kind of bad I asked. “My mom used to nag me for everything!”<br>“O really?” He said. “You always seem so nice and happy.”<br>“Ya, I guess your right, but this town is so nice. And I never thought I would like to farm but it’s actually quite fun.”
It was silent again until we got up to the top of the mountains.
“Wow!” I said as we sat down. “This place has such an awesome view!”<br>“Ya, I love it here.” Grey said staring at the sky.
“Thanks for taking me here Grey.”<br>“No problem.” Grey said as he smiled that adorable smile I rarely ever see. “Well, we better go now.”<br>“Ya, it’s getting late.”<br>We stood up and started walking. We came to the bumpy part of the road and I was looking at Grey and then tripped on a rock and fell right on my face.
“Are you ok?” Grey asked as he put his hand out to help me up.
“Oww, ya I’m fine.” I said, embarrassed.
We didn’t let go of each other’s hands until we got to my farm.
“Bye Jill.” Grey said.
“Bye! Thanks again for taking me.” I said blushing a little as he left.

I played with my dog for a little and then rushed off to tell Ann everything!
“So how was it?” She asked me as soon as I walked in.
“It was great!” I said and then told her everything.
“You are so going to get cookies from him tomorrow!” She said exidedly.
“What?” I asked.
“Well for the thanksgiving festival of course!” She said. I just stared at her. “You don’t know anything do you? Well tomorrow all the guys give chocolate cookies to the girls they like!”<br>“Oh really?” I said. “But what if he doesn’t?” I said blushing.
“He will, believe me.” She said. “I haven’t seen Grey smile like that in ages!”<br>“Really? Wow I didn’t know he liked me so much.” I said, blushing even harder. “You’ll totally get some from Cliff though!”
“Maybe.” Ann said with a shrug.

The next day I put on something nicer than my regular overalls on just in case Grey did decide to pay me a visit with some cookies. I now had two chickens and a cow. And Barley asked me too take care of a pony that was born at his farm. I named him Brownie.
Sure enough while I was watering my plants I heard some footsteps and I turned around.
“Hi Grey!” I said happily.
“H-hi.” He said shyly. “I, um, brought you some cookies I made. I hope you like them.”<br>“Thank you so much Grey! That’s so nice of you!” I said with a smile as I went over and took them.
“Your welcome.” Grey said with that adorable smile.
I kissed him on the cheek and we both started blushing bright red.
“Uh, so bye.” He said.
“Bye Grey!”<br>
I was about to rush off and tell Ann all about this too but then I thought that Cliff might be there giving her cookies right then and I didn’t really want to interrupt. So I decided to go tell Popourie about it! I ran to the poultry farm and saw Popourie smiling at a bright pink letter eating some cookies.
“Hey Popourie! What’s with the letter?” I asked.
“Oh.” She blushed. “It’s from a guy named Kai. He comes here every summer. I kinda have a crush on him.”<br>“Aww that’s so sweet if him to send you cookies!” I said. “Grey gave me some today.”
“Oh really? Thats great! I bet Mary’s really jealous.”
“I hope she’s not mad though.” I said, my smile fading.
“She probably is.” Popourie said. “But who cares!”<br>“I guess your right.” I said cheerfully. “I gotta go, see ya!”<br>“Bye!” Popourie said as she ate another cookie.

The rest of spring went by pretty quickly. Ann and I were best friends and me and Grey had gotten closer. Everything was looking fine! I t was now spring 30th and I couldn’t wait for the warm summer to come!
“Hey Jill!’ I heard Zack the shipper say. “Tomorrow’s beach day, come to the beach and enter your dog in the Frisbee tournament!”
“Frisbee tournament?” I said. “Ok sure I’ll go!”<br>“Great! Come by tomorrow at about 10:00am.” He said. “Bye!”<br>“Bye and thanks!” I said happily.

On my way over to the Inn I saw Popourie, May and some other guy I hadn’t met befor.
“Hey Popourie who’s this?” I asked.
“Oh this is Kai, remember I was telling you about him?”<br>“Oh ya! Hi Kai, nice to meet you, my names Jill.”<br>“Hey Jill, you know your pretty cute.” He said as he winked at me. I blushed.
“Oh Kai leave her alone. Jill runs the farm.” Popourie said.
“Well I better go ladies, very nice to meet you Jill. By the way I run the seaside lodge down by Zack’s. I hope to see ya there.” Kai said.
“Bye Kai!” Popourie and May yelled.
“Isn’t he cute?” Popourie asked me.
“Ya he is pretty cute!” I told her. “I gotta go now though, bye!”<br>“Bye Jill!” Popourie and May said.

fourth chapter:

Chapter 4: The mistake

I got on my blue, comfy shorts, my green sandals and my pink tang top, then grabbed my frisbee and my dog and headed for the beach. It felt great to walk on the sand barefoot on a hot day!
“Will you be competing in the tournament?” Zack asked me.
“Ya!” I answered.
“The competition will start in about 10 minutes.” He told me.
“Ok.” I said.
I went over to Ann and Cliff to kill time.
“I hear the mayor decided to make some early fireworks this year for this evening.” Cliff said. “Want to go with me Ann?”<br>“Sure I’d love to!” She replied.
“Cool! Fireworks!” I exclaimed. “We never had fireworks in my old town.”<br>“Really? We have them every year at the end of summer.” Ann told me.
“Cool!” I said.
“Will all contestants please report to the starting line!” I heard Zack say through a microphone.
“Ok! See ya guys!” I waved and left.

The competition was hard, but really fun! My dog and I hadn’t played much frisbee that much together.
“May I have your attention please!” The Mayor said through a microphone. “I have made some early fireworks this year! Whoever wants to come up to Mothers Peek to see them can feel free!”
Yup, just like Cliff said. I thought.
I saw Kai talking to Popourie but I couldn’t hear what they were saying. Popourie shook her head, looking kind of sad. Then Kai started walking towards me.
“Hey Jill, wanna go to the fireworks with me?” He asked.
I blushed. “Uh, sure!” I answered.
Crap! What the heck Jill! I thought. Why did you say that? You barely even know him! What is Grey gonna think?
“Ok then cutie, see ya there.” He said with a wink.
Just then I saw Grey turn around and start walking too me.
“Hey Jill, w-want to go to the fireworks with m-me?” He asked shyly.
“Uhhh, I’d love to but I’m not going. I think I’m catching a cold. cough cough Yup, definitely. I better go home and rest.” I lied.
“Oh… ok, I hope you get well soon then, bye…” He said sadly as he walked away.
Oh God I feel so bad! I thought. Why was I such an idiot! I love Grey not Kai! Ohhh…<br>
I went home and got changed into a nice skirt and shirt with long frilly sleeves and then I heard the doorbell.
Probably Kai… I thought.
I opened the door.
“Ready to go Jill?” Kai asked.
“Yep!” I answered.
I was going to try and forget about Grey for the night. I might as well enjoy myself. But I still felt really bad.
We got up to the peek and sat down. The fireworks started.
“Wow!” I exclaimed. “Their beautiful!”<br>“Not as beautiful as you.” Kai said.
I blushed. “Oh that’s such an old line!” I said jokingly.
He leaned in to kiss me.
What the heck is he doing!? I thought. I barely know him! I’m not gonna kiss him!
“Jill!” I heard Grey yell. “What the heck are you doing!?”<br>I pushed Kai down.
“Grey, it’s not what it looks like!” I said quickly.
“Oh ya, your sick I forgot!” He said sarcastically. “I went to see if you were ok but you weren’t there so I figured you were sleeping so I came to see the fireworks alone and this is what I find?”<br>“Grey…” I said, I was starting to cry. “I’m sorry Grey!”
“Ya well maybe you should have thought before you decided to go and make out with Kai!” He screamed as he ran off.
“I wasn’t going to kiss him!” I screamed. But he was already gone, by now tears were pouring down my eyes.
“Don’t worry Jill, I’ll make you feel better.” Kai said as he wrapped his arms around me.
“Get away from me!” I yelled as I pushed him away again. “This is all your fault!”<br>“My fault? I didn’t know you and Grey were a couple! You’re the one who said yes to going to the fireworks with me!” He said angrily.
I didn’t say anything. He was right, it was all my fault.
“Goodbye!” I screamed as I ran off down the mountain.
About half way down I tripped and fell on my face.
“Oww!” I yelled. I was still crying my eyes out.
When I got home I cried myself to sleep.

It had been weeks since Grey and I had spoken. I totally screwed up my life. Everything was going perfect until that night. I wish it never happened. At least Popourie forgave me. She said she was used to Kai flirting with all the cute girls. So she wasn't mad. She expected him to ask me out because she had to stay home and take care of her mom because that day she wasn't felling very well.

I went outside and checked my mailbox, there was a bright pink letter, it read:
You are invited to Popourie’s 17th birthday party!
It will be a sleepover at the Inn on Friday at 5:00pm!
There will be pizza, cake, a movie and even dancing!
Bring your sleeping bag, pillow and any other sleepover stuff.
I hope you can come!

Neat! I thought. That will be so much fun! So I mailed Popourie back saying I’d be there.

fifth chapter:

Chapter 5: The party

It was the day of Popouri’s Birthday party, it was going to be so much fun! But I was a little worried about the dancing part.
What if she meant slow dancing? I thought. O well.
I got on my long blue skirt and my turquoise t-shirt. I put my hair in a long ponytail with a green hair tie. Then I started walking to the Inn.
“Hi Jill!” A bright and cheerful Popouri exclaimed. “Come on in!”<br>“Happy Birthday Popouri!” I said as I handed her my present.
I went and sat down with everyone else.
“Now the only people we’re missing are Gray, Ellie and the Doctor!” Ann said.
ding dong! “I’ll get it!” Popouri said. She opened the door and let Ellie, the Doctor and Gray in. “Hi everyone! Now we can get started!” She said happily. “Alright, we could play truth or dare, or spin the bottle, you guys choose... no wait I want to choose! How about, spin the bottle!
“Ok!” everyone exclaimed.
“I want to go first because it’s my birthday!” Popouri said as she spun the bottle. It landed on Cliff. “Ok why not.” She kissed him lightly on the lips. “Ok now it’s your turn Cliff!”<br>Cliff spun the bottle, it landed on Ann!
“Boring!” Karen said. “Everyone knows Cliff and Ann are already a couple!”<br>They kissed anyway. Ann spun the bottle, it landed on Gray. So they kissed. Now it was Gray’s turn to spin. It landed on…. Me!
Oh no! I thought. Well actually maybe this is a good thing….
We stood up and started leaning towards each other, everyone was watching so closely, it made me more nervous than I already was.
“Foods ready!” Doug called as he came out of the back room with pizza and drinks. Everyone got up and sat at the table, along with Gray and I.
Too bad…. I thought. I sighed. Maybe Gray and I just weren’t meant to be….
I went to the table and tried to forget about it and have a good time, but it was kind of hard.
“What’s the matter Jill? Aren’t you having a good time?” Ann asked.
“Huh? Me, oh yah I’m having a great time!” I said as I grabbed another slice of Pizza.
“Well good because there’s lots more fun stuff for us to do!” Popouri said happily.
“Ok is everyone finished?” Popouri asked as she walked over to the CD player. “Because we are going to do some dancing now!”
Some of the guys pushed all the tables to the sides and then everyone crowded in the middle of the room. Popouri put on some music.
Good, it’s fast music, because if it were slow I would need a dance partner… I thought.
I went over by Ann and Ellie to dance, but then Popouri changed the song to slow.
Oh… guess I’ll have to sit this one out. I thought.
I went over to a table and sat down. I saw Gray sitting at one of the other tables too.
Ha, we’re both loners. I thought.
I watched all the other couples dancing and I couldn’t help but feel left out.
“Hey what are you two doing!?” Karen exclaimed to Gray and I. “Why aren’t you two dancing?”<br>“Because I don’t have a partner.” I said stupidly.
“Oh don’t be an idiot Jill, dance with Gray!” She told me.
“But...” I said, but I was interrupted.
“That’s an order!” Karen said loudly and bossily as she pushed me over to Gray and forced us to start dancing.
“There we go!” Karen said happily. “Have fun!”<br>“Uh, so, hi.” I said nervously.
“hi….” He said shyly. “Um, I’m sorry about freaking out about you and Kai that night… it was kinda stupid of me.”<br>“That’s ok. I was the one being stupid.” I said.
“Actually I sort of expected Kai to ask you out, your so pretty, how could he not.” He said starting to blush a little.
I blushed. “So… are we cool?”<br>“Ya, we’re cool.” He said getting that adorable smile that I hadn’t seen for so long.
We both started to laugh a little and I couldn’t help but start to cry a little.
“What’s wrong?” Gray asked.
“Nothing, I just can’t believe what an idiot I was.” I said as I started to laugh again.
“Everyone makes mistakes.” He said nicely.
“I know.” I said as he put his arms around me.
It felt so good to be in his arms again. I couldn’t believe he forgave me just like that. Then the song ended. I kind of wished it wouldn’t have though.
“Ok everyone that’s enough dancing!” Popouri said. “Now it’s time to watch a movie!”<br>She put in the tape and everyone sat down. I sat beside Gray and Ann.
During the movie Gray put his arm around my shoulder, it felt nice. No guy has ever done that to me before. Ann saw and nudged me in the stomach with her elbow; she had a big smile on her face. I smiled back at her; I didn’t say anything though.
When the movie ended all the guys had to go home, but for the girls it was a sleepover!
“Alright girls! Lets go set up our sleeping bags upstairs!” Poppouri said.
When we were all in our sleeping bags on the floor and the lights were out, Popouri turned on her flashlight.
“Come on you guys! You aren’t seriously going to sleep are you?” Popouri whispered.
“What else are we supposed to do?” I asked.
“Play Truth or Dare of course!” Ann whispered. “But right now we can only do truth because we can’t get up or else my dad will wake up.”<br>“Ok!” Everyone whispered.
“My turn first!” Popouri said. She turned to Ellie “Have you ever kissed a guy? And not just a kiss on the cheek, a real kiss!”<br>“Well, uh… ya I have.” Ellie replied.
“Who, when and where?” Popouri asked.
“Hey I thought you were only allowed one question?” Ellie said.
“Well too bad!” Popouri said.
“Ugh, ok. I kissed the Doctor last week at the beach…” Ellie said. “You happy now?”<br>“Of course I’m happy!” Popouri said.
“Ok.” Ellie said. She tuned to me. “Is it true that you and Gray are back together?”<br>“Well uh… I’m not sure actually. I think so.”<br>“Awwww!” Everyone but Mary said.
“No one cared when Gray loved me!” Mary said.
“He never really loved you Mary, you just kind of forced him to.” Karen said.
“No! He loved me until Jill came along and ruined everything in my life!” Mary said loudly.
“I’m sorry Mary… I didn’t know…”
“Shut up!” Mary yelled. “I don’t care about you, or Gray, or anyone else!”<br>“Mary be quiet you are going to wake my dad up!” Ann whispered.
“What the heck is going on you guys?” Doug asked sleepily as he knocked on the door.
“Umm, nothing Dad!” Ann said.
“Ok well quiet down then.” He said. He went back downstairs.
“Hmp!” Mary said as she pulled her sleeping bag over her head.
Everyone was silent for the rest of the night.

FINALLY! I know this is a really short chapter but i've been really busy! here we go!


Chapter 6- Mary

The next morning I groggily woke up and realized everyone was already up and gone. I walked downstairs and saw all the girls sitting at a table chatting away in their pajamas. Except Mary, she was slouched over in a chair with her arms crossed. I felt kind of bad for her, but like Karen said, Gray never really loved her, did he? I grabbed a chair and sat down with the other girls.
“Hey Jill your finally up!” Ann said happily. “How’d ya sleep?”
“Well, fine I guess.” But truth is I had a nightmare about Mary and Gray. So then I kept wondering if they really did love each other… but then why would Gray ask me out when I first came?
“Hmm? You seem distracted Jill, what’s up?” Popouri asked.
“Oh, nothing! I’m fine.” I said quickly.
“Well, if you say so!” Popouri said gullibly.

“Foods ready!” Doug called; he brought us some pancakes and scrambled eggs.
We ate and chatted at the same time.
“So everyone, who are you going to the fireworks with?” Karen asked.
“The Doctor!” Ellie screamed without thinking. She giggled. “Oops! That was a little loud.”
Ann blushed. “Cliff, I guess.” She said hesitantly.
“I’m totally going with Kai!” Popouri said happily.
“Well I guess I’m stuck with Rick then.” Karen laughed. “Because I know Jill is going with Gray!”
“No, you mean he’s going with me!” Mary said angrily.
“No, I mean he’s going with Jill!” Karen said again.
“No! I’m going to make him go with me! He has to! He loves me!” Mary screamed.
“Calm down you guys!” Ann yelled.
“Shut up Bitch!” Mary screamed at Ann.
“You shut up Mary!” Ellie yelled.
“Everyone shut up!” Karen yelled.
“You guys please stop fighting…” I said. Nobody listened.
Popouri climbed on top of the table. “SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!” Popouri screamed as loud as she could. “You’re ruining my party!”
Everyone shut up.
“That’s better!” Popouri said triumphantly. “Now, Gray can go to the party with whoever the hell he wants, end of story!”
“Thank you Popouri!” Karen said. “Geez Mary. Do you understand now?”
“Hmp!” Mary just crossed her arms and sat there. Not saying a word.
“Now can we please stop fighting? This is supposed to be Popouri’s birthday party!” Ann said, frustrated.
“Yes please!” I said.
We started eating and chatting again. Then eventually we all said goodbye to each other and left.


I walked home and write in my diary.
What a day…. I thought.

A few days went by, I hadn’t seen Mary at all. I was doing my chores and I heard some footsteps.
“Hi Gray!” I said happily. I walked over to him.
“Hi Jill…” He said shyly. “Do you maybe want to go to the fireworks with me tonight?”
“Sure I’d love to!” I said happily.
He smiled. “Great! I’ll see you then. Bye!”
“Bye Gray!” I said. I went back to happily doing my chores.

Later that day I spent almost an hour trying to figure out what to wear. Then I finally decided on a light blue skirt that went down to a little past my knees, a nice yellow tang top and my dark blue sandals. I left my hair down. I didn’t bother putting makeup on, I never wore it. I waited until I heard the doorbell.
I opened the door. “Hi Gray!” I said happily.
“Hi. You look great, ready to go?” He asked.
I blushed. “Thanks.” We started walking to the beach together.

We got there and I saw Ann and Cliff, Elli and the Doctor, Popouri and Kai and Karen and Rick. I didn’t see Mary anywhere though, which kind of worried me. We went and sat down on the dock and the fireworks started.
“They are even better than last time! And I’m glad to be watching them with you instead of Kai.” I blushed.
Gray blushed too. “Ya.”
I looked over at Ann and Cliff; they were kissing.
How cute! I thought.
Gray then leaned in to kiss me. And this time I wanted to kiss him too, unlike with Kai. Our lips almost touched when we heard a voice.
“Hey Gray!”
