Ok, so this is where a new series, Woes of Summer will be. It's kinda old, so dont sue me if it's bad XD. I'll post a new chapter about every week or so. Happy reading!  |

Summer, Day 1
Woe 1---Kai
Jill yawned. It was a beautiful, glorious Summer day...
"SUMMER!!!"Jill cried out. Today was Beach Day!
At the word, Rick (Jill's husband) immediately sat right down between the basket and their child Kari, pretending not to notice.Probably because Kai's coming to town,Jill thought. Rick absolutely DISPISED him because he and Popuri loved each other. "An overprotective brother" as Kai called it.
Jill opened the farm house door. There was a note from Kai tacked to the door telling Jill and Kari(and maybe Rick) that he was in town. This is how he does it now ever since of the first summer while Rick and Jill were married. Right after Kai began to leave, Rick grabbed a hammer and started chasing him with it, forcing Kai to retreat in Saibara's place. Jill giggled recalling the memory and placed the note in her pocket.
"Well, Rick, I'm off!" she announced cheerfully as she walked out the door.
Rick nodded. "Take your time," he said. "I'll look after Kari."
Jill smiled and walked off to the beach.Rick can be strange, but he's a great husband!

Summer, Day 1
Woe 2---The competition
When Jill got to the beach, she saw Popuri and Kai talking.
"But I thought that you LOVED Beach day, Kai!" Popuri said, surprised.
"I still do, but it has it's ups and downs anyways." Kai sighed.
"Like what?"
"Well, when they return your dog, they leave it outside! It's like animal abuse! Who are 'they' anyways?"
"This 'they' you are talking about are-"
"And if you win, you don't get ANYTHING!"
Popuri glanced over to the ongoing competition nervously. "Well, the real prize is-"
"The only prize anyone ever got was Jill's Power Berry! What do they DO anyways?"
"Power Berrys incr-"
Kai put his hand in front of him signaling for Popuri to stop talking while he breathed in deeply. "Well now,"he said. "Lets go watch the dogs, shall we?"
Popuri shook her head. "Kai," she said. "The contest is o-"
{Beach day is now over. We will retur your dogs back...}
Kai sighed again. "Well, there's always next year, right?"
Popuri glanced at Jill (who had lost), trudging back home. "Yeah..."she said. "There's always next year..."

Summer, Day 2
Woe 3---Leftovers Jill yawned. Another day of hard work... she thought. Like always, she did the morning routine. She changed clothes, went outside, planted pinapple seeds, took honey and an egg, then helped the harvest sprites with the rest of the work. Now to check the mail,she thought. but I doubt that there will be any at all. Surprisingly, there was some mail! It was from Kai, asking to buy some stuff from the shop. Not again...Oh well. I suppose I should go to give him a piece of my mind... Jill ran back to the house. She gave Kari the honey and Rick the egg. "Rick, I'm off to journey again." Rick nodded. "You know, you dont have to tell me. You can just go." Jill cheerfully skipped out the door. *~*~*Kai's shop*~*~* Jill slammed her hand on the counter. "Yo Kai! Wazzup?" Kai stared at Jill strangely. "You DO know that I'm not a gangster, right???" "...Right." "Anyways, I suppose you got the letter, huh?" "Yeah, and I'm not here to buy, I'm here to complain." "Hm?" "You know that when you buy stuff here, you cant take the leftovers home?" "Yeah..." "Well, what's up with that? This way, I don't think that you'll get any customers exept for Gray and Popuri!" Kai looked down at his shoes. At times like this, his shoes were very interesting... "Heck," Jill continued, "I can COOK all this stuff and give it all for free so you'll barely have any customers anyways!!!" "That's exactly my problem..." Kai muttered, still looking down. Jill stared good and hard at him. "...What?"
