Chapter Nineteen: Who Did This?
Cliff and I walked up Mothers Hill, hand in hand and sat down near the edge of the lake. Is soon spotted something black floating in the water.
"Cliff...what is that?" I asked hesitantly. He looked and shrugged. "I don't know. It looks like a garbage bag." I swear at that moment I shuttered.
"Cliff...you know in movies how whenever someone kills another person they put them in a garbage bag?" I said uneasily. His eyes widened and he laughed slightly.
"Oh Shelly, stop thinking like that!" he said. "Why would anyone..." his voice trailed off as the bag floated closer. "...Maybe you were right." Cliff choked out. The bag was slightly open, and someones hand was hanging out. I got up quickly and grabbed Cliffs hand. We raced down Mothers Hill and into town. We went to the mayors house to see Harris but he wasn't there.
"Sorry, Harris isn't here right now." the mayor said. "Is it something I can help you with?" Cliff and I shook our heads at the same time and ran from the house. We soon spotted Harris walking to the super market.
"Harris!" I screeched. I drug Cliff over to him and started to tell the story. "Cliff and I went for a walk up Mothers Hill and sat down by the lake. Okay, so we were sitting there and a bag was floating in the water. We looked at it as it got closer and saw a hand hanging out of it!" Harris gasped in alarm and started running along the path. We followed him, and a couple other villagers noticed our alarm and followed also. Soon enough Gray, Saibara, Lillia, Manna, and Popuri were behind us.
"Oh my word!" Lillia gasped as we neared the lake. Harris waded into the water and pulled the bag ashore. He pulled out a pocket knife and started to slowly slit the bag down the middle. Cliff squeezed my hand tightly and we waited to see who was inside.
"Mom!" Popuri screamed. She dug her face into Lillia's shoulder as we recognized the face of the body. It was Kai. "Who would do such a terrible thing?" she screamed. Popuri then began to sob violently. Popuri then shot a glare at Cliff.
"I BET YOU DID THIS!" she bellowed. Cliff looked quite disturbed. "You didn't like him because he was hitting on Shelly! He told me about the whole thing that happened at the bar!"
"HE DID NO SUCH THING!" I screamed back. I went over to Popuri and looked her in the eyes. "HE WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A THING! HOW COULD YOU EVEN SAY THAT?" I stomped my foot and Popuri got right up to my face.
"Your boyfriend is a murderer!" she yelled. "Murderer, murderer, murderer!" I slapped her but then Cliff grabbed ahold of both my arms to hold me back from beating her up anymore.
"That's enough!" Harris yelled. "There is no need to fight!" Popuri recovered from the slap and came up to me and returned the slap. I took my foot and kicked her knee. She let out a shrill scream and fell to the ground. "I SAID ENOUGH!" Harris repeated. I raised my foot to kick her once more but Gray grabbed my feet.
"Let go!" I screamed at Cliff and Gray. "Let me go! She deserves a good butt kicking! She will not ever talk like that again in front of me!" Popuri scrambled to her feet and a twisted smile former on her face. She came over to slap me again but then was restrained by Saibara, and Manna.
"Let me go you old geezer!" she screamed at Saibara. "Cliff is a murderer and Shelly knows it! Murderer, murderer..."
"Popuri! You stop that nonsense this instant!" Lillia hissed. "Stop blaming the poor boy when you have no proof!" Harris picked up Kai in the garbage bag and motioned all of us to follow him back to his house. Cliff and Gray kept ahold of me, and Manna and Saibara also kept ahold of Popuri.
"Murderer!" Popuri said again.
"You better shut up!" I warned. "I swear I will get loose and kick your butt all the way to Pluto. Then I won't have to see your ugly face ever again. Yay!" Popuri shut her mouth and we glared at eachother.

No, Cliff wouldn't do that. Well at least I wouldn't write about him doing that because he is my favorite character! *sighs* Cliff is a cuite. Well, anyways, it wasn't Cliff. Here is the next chapter. ^_^
Chapter Twenty: Puzzle Pieces
We all sat in the mayors house, disucssing today's events. Popuri wouldn't stop glaring at me as I held Cliff's hand.
"Who could have done this?" Lillia asked sadly. "Why would anyone do such a terrible thing?"
"I know who it was mother." Popuri spat. "It was that idiot over there. I bet his girlfriend had something to do with it too." I stood up quickly but Cliff pulled me back down onto his lap and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"You can get her later..." he whispered. A smile formed on my face, but I looked down to hide it.
"Okay, where were all of you yesterday, and what were you doing?" Harris asked. He took out a piece of paper and pointed for Popuri to go first.
"Well, after I ate breakfast Kai came over and we went to the super market. I questioned him about Karen, and he ended up telling me that he loved me." she smiled and clasped her hands together. "He was so romantic. Then he kissed me and said he had to meet Rick at the Inn, so he left and I went home to read a book." Harris scribled on the page violently and then looked at Lillia.
"I ran the shop all day." Lillia said. Harris wrote that down and looked at Cliff.
"I cleaned out the closet, and Shelly wasn't back from the super market yet. So I went to look for her, but she wasn't at the super market." Cliff started. "So I looked around for a while and then finally went to the Inn and saw her there." Harris seemed pleased with the explaination, but Popuri glared at him.
"And then later he snuck out and stabbed Kai with Shelly's sickle! Then Shelly came with the trash bag, and they both hauled him up to the lake!" Popuri said.
"Oh please!" I sighed. "You really think we would kill someone? I swear we didn't leave the house last night. We watched a movie, ate dinner, and then fell asleep on the couch." Popuri crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes. Harris nodded towards me to start my story.
"Cliff was cleaning the closet, so I went to the super market to get groceries. I saw Popuri and Kai there talking, and then I got some oil and chocolate and left." I said. Harris wrote down what I said and then looked at me to continue. "When I was on my way home I passed the Inn, where Gray was going inside. He called for me to come in too so I did. I sat down with him and Rick and then Kai arrived a couple minutes later. Kai then put his arm around me and was saying how he could be so much better than Cliff. I slapped him and told him that I wasn't going to fall for him like the other girls and that I loved Cliff. Then I left and Cliff and I walked home, watched a movie, ate, and then fell asleep on the couch."
"But what she didn't tell you is how she threatened Kai with her sickle!" Popuri blurted out. "Kai told me that you got so mad you pointed it right at him and said you would slice him in half." At this I shuttered.
"Oh my God. That makes it look really bad for me..." I mumbled. Suddenly something clicked in my head. "Wait a second! When I went to the Inn, Rick was waiting for Kai to come. He said 'He is taking everything I love and care about! Karen, Popuri...I was he would just...disappear! Forever!'" Harris's eyes widened and he wrote this down quickly. He didn't question Gray, Manna, or Saibara because right now the spotlight was on me, and Rick.

Its really good, and it fits together nicely. The only thing I dislike is how everyone hates Kai and Rick.
Yes, I KNOW I voted Kai off, but that was before I got FoMTFG. I decided to marry him just for fun, and he turned out to be a better husband than Gray or Cliff, even (whom I had previously married on this file. It's my test file). ... Not that I want to start any riots or anything, though... >_______<;;
Overall, its a great story, really cute and interesting. I can't wait untill you post the next chapter!

^_^ Thank you. Sorry I'm so mean to Kai...but my friends and I like to make up jokes about him, and melody and I were discussing something about someone dying, and unfortunatly we chose Kai. Here is more...
Chapter Twentyone: Locked Up
We all followed Harris to Poultry Farm to question Rick. Rick was there, feeding the chickens like usual. Harris walked up to him and took out the piece of paper he had previously scribbled on.
"Rick, where were you and what did you do yesterday?" Harris askd. Rick looked confused but told him anyways.
"I fed the chickens, went to the super market to see Karen, came home and sat inside for a little while, and then went to the Inn." he said. "Why are you asking me?"
"What happened at the Inn exactly?" Harris asked, glancing sideways at Rick.
"Well I invited Kai to come at 2:00, but he was like, as usual. Shelly came in because we all had a plan to make her mad, and tell her that we could be better than Cliff." he shot a glare at Cliff. "Then Kai finally arrived and he started hitting on Shelly. I got kind of mad...but just watched. They argued for a bit and then Cliff walked in and watched the whole scene. Shelly threatened Kai with her sickle, and Kai backed off. She then told us how much she loved Cliff and stormed out. Cliff followed her, and then me, Gray, and Kai were left inside alone." Harris scribbled Rick's words down on paper, and looked at him.
"What are your feelings towards Kai?" Harris questioned. "How does it make you feel that he got Karen pregnant and was going out with your little sister?" Rick flushed red in anger and then started.
"I would kill him if I had the guts." Rick spat. "I loved Karen, and then she winds up pregnant with Kai's baby! I'm just glas we are back together. And him going out with Popuri...ugh! I'm sorry but my little sister should not see him. He cheats on her, and he breakes her heart! She deserves so much better!" Harris took Rick's arm and mine also.
"Come you two, I must lock you up until one of you confesses of murdering Kai." Harris said. He started to pull us along but I struggled to get away.
"Cliff!" I screamed. "No, I don't want to go! I didn't murder Kai! Please Cliff, help me!" He ran and grabbed my hand and tried yanking me away from Harris, but it didn't work. Soon Gray was tugging on his other arm, trying to pull him away from me.
"She didn't do it!" he yelled. "I swear! Let her go!" Cliff's grasp tightened on my arm, and I was being pulled both ways. Rick was also struggling to get free, but wasn't screaming for help, just hitting Harris's arm repeatedly.
"Cliff, let her go! She is a suspect for murder!" Saibara said. He then joined Gray at tugging on Cliff's arm. "Cliff, let go of her! She could be a murderer!"
"She isn't though!" Cliff yelled back. His grasp on my arm started to slip, but he kept on trying. Finally, with one hard yank Cliff fell backwards and I was being dragged off by Harris. Gray and Saibara kept hold of Cliff tightly while I screamed. Harris drug Rick and I all the way to his house and into the backyard, were there was a huge cage with bars.
"No, don't put me in there!" I screamed. "I DIDN'T KILL KAI!" Harris pushed Rick and I in and slammed the cage door and locked it. "You can't keep me in here forever, Harris!"
"Shut up and go to sleep. I'll be out with your food in the morning!" he went inside leaving Rick and I sitting in the cage. I went over and slumped in a corner while Rick sat, swaying back and forth like a scared child.
"Did you kill him?" Rick finally asked. I shook my head.
"Did you?" I asked back. He shook his head and kept on swaying back and forth. I started to cry, knowing that neither one of us would ever get out, if neither of us really killed him.
"You know, it's not so bad being stuck in here!" Rick said. He smiled and looked over at me. He raised his eye brows.
"Why is that?" I asked uneasily.
"Because I am in here with you." he replied. I sighed and tried not to focus on him scooting closer to me. "I like being in here with you. Now that Cliff and everyone else is gone, you can finally express your true feelings for me."
"Okay." I said. I punched him in the face, which knocked his head against a bar behind him. I looked at the unconcious lump laying beside me, and tried to fall asleep.

Yes, but... pick on... I don't know... Won or something. Yeah! Since he was trying to hit on Karen... that might work! And if you don't use it (which you probably won't) I will! Oooh...
-cough- Sorry >>;; Anyway, like I said, really cute story, but... I don't really like the whole "picking on Rick and Kai" thing.
