Chapter One: Run Away
I have always known what hate felt like. It’s an extremely powerful emotion that slowly destroys you from the inside, to the out. Everywhere I went hate followed me, and that’s why I’m running. My mother died, father abuses me, and everyone at school thinks it’s one big party to point and laugh at me. I have no friends, bruises on my body, and permanent scars on my heart. I ran through the cold, snowy atmosphere with only a t-shirt and shorts on my thin fragile body. As I ran, I looked back at the prison I once lived in, the place I once called my home. Snow fell onto the footprints I left behind, erasing the existence of them ever being there. I hope one day, something can erase my troubles, worries, and fears, just like the snow erasing those footprints. I tears sprang into my eyes as all of the memories of the past flooded back to me. My feet gave up on me, and let me fall onto the cold wet snow. I didn’t try to find strength to get back up on my feet, because I knew it would do no good. I would eventually die out here in the cold, so it didn’t matter if I ran or not. I laid my head on the snow, and it felt good. It soothed the fresh bruises my dad have given me only minutes before, after having a couple beers. I felt someone lift me into their arms, but I didn’t have enough strength to open my eyes and see who it was. “Hang in there.” Some one whispered. I appreciated the kindness of this person, but I couldn’t hold on any longer. I went unconscious.

Lol, I guess I will post it right now... Here is chapter two.
Chapter Two: Kind Stranger
My eyes fluttered open, and a gust of heat hit my face. I sat up and looked around to see where I was. It was a very strange and unfamiliar place. I spotted a boy about my age, 17, sitting around a fire. He looked over at me and smiled. The boy pushed a bowl of soup into my hands, and said, “This will make you feel better.” I ate the soup slowly, enjoying the taste of warm food. I looked around some more, and realized we were inside a cave.
“Feeling any better?” the boy asked, adding a piece of wood to the fire. I smiled and nodded at him, to awestruck to speak. For the first time I noticed his beautiful brown eyes, which I had immediately fell in love with. I examined him more, and then once I was pleased, I turned my gaze to the fire.
“Thank you.” I spoke up. “I can’t remember the last time someone was so kind to me.” He looked over with concern and worry on his face.
“No problem.” He whispered, not wanting to ask for any details. I looked into his eyes to find a secret hiding beneath the surface. These eyes told me of something horrible, which I just couldn’t grasp. I ignored the gaze and held out my hand.
“I’m Shelly.” I said nervously. He took my hand tightly and shook it. I could feel a fit of giggles coming on, but swallowed hard to help them back down into my stomach. If I giggled it would be obvious that I liked him.
“I’m Cliff.” He answered. A small smile crept into the corner of his mouth. “Welcome to my home.” He said uneasily, looking around the small cave. I smiled at him.
“It’s better than mine.” I chirped, trying to sound happy. My home was a house, but it was filled with abuse, and hate so unbearable it could kill you. I looked into the face of this kind stranger, and found a caring, loving, and compassionate person, unlike my father. I’m wondering to myself why he lives in such a place, and by himself. Maybe it’s best to just not ask him.

Thanks everyone! ^_^ Here is the next chapter!
Chapter Three: A New Home
I woke the next morning to find a sleeping Cliff laying beside me. I looked
around the room and my eyes found a newspaper laying on the ground. I went over to it and grabbed it. I glanced through the pages and found an article about a farm for sale. It said that it was free to anyone who was willing to run it.
“Cliff, I’m going to move!” I exclaimed excitedly, as I smacked him in the head with the paper. He rubbed his eyes and sat up to look at me. He took the paper and read the article. I knew it would mean that I had to leave him behind, but I couldn’t live with him in that cave forever.
“Good luck with that...” he said sheepishly. Suddenly a great idea popped into my head that made me smile like crazy.
“Your coming with me!” I demanded. He looked at me and slowly shook his head. “You know you want too...” I teased. He was now trying hard not to smile. I went over and grabbed an old tattered bag and packed all of his clothes. We all know men can’t do anything themselves. I grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the cave into the fresh spring air. The first day of spring is always beautiful, with the birds singing and the flowers blooming.
We made our way into Mineral Town, our new home town. The mayor happily greeted us at the farm and gave us a tour of the town.
“Good luck you two! Run a happy farm and have happy family!” the mayor chirped and then left. Cliff and I looked at each other and blushed. “Stupid old dude...” Cliff mumbled when he walked by me. I giggled and followed him inside our new house. There was a refrigerator, bathroom, television, table, and two beds. Cliff immediately claimed the bed nearest the wall, and hopped onto it, ready for a nap. As for me, I was ready to work! I walked outside and started pulling the weeds in my field. I heard footsteps coming onto the farm and looked over to see the other 3 guys I met this afternoon. The Doctor, Rick, and Gray all ran over to me and smiled.
“We came to help you get started on the farm work!” they all said in unison. I wasn’t quite sure that the Doctor or Gray knew how to run a farm, but what the heck? I needed all the help I could get. We all started plucking weeds, and we were done fairly early. I invited them all inside for lunch, and they agreed. They ran in, like a herd of buffaloes. Once they spotted Cliff, they all bowed their heads.
“Aw, man. She’s taken by that guy...” Gray said sheepishly. Cliff rolled his eyes and took his seat at the table. I started laughing at the comment.
“Cliff and I? Oh, no, we’re just friends.” I chimed. The three mens faces lit up and they all smiled and took their spots at the table as well. I could hear Cliff mumbling again about something like “Stupid crazy people...” I made a couple Rice Cakes, and all the men ate quickly and thanked me for the food. Rick got up from the table and helped me wash the dishes.
“See you later Shelly. Call me sometime.” Gray said, as all three of them walked out the door. I smiled and turned to Cliff. All he did was sit there and stare at me.
“Those guys really get on my nerves...” Cliff commented as he rose from the table and started towards the bathroom. My smile soon turned into a frown, as his words soaked into my mind.
“At least they helped me with the work! I thought they were nice!” I snapped back at him. “They help, unlike you. All you do is sleep, eat, watch t.v., belch, fart, and sleep some more, just like all the other lazy men in the world.” I said, rolling my eyes at him. His face flushed red with anger, and I could see some hurt in his eyes.
“Well fine then, maybe I do! I was going to help tomorrow but all you have to do is call your new best friends and get them to help!” he barked. He turned and went into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him. I shuffled over to my bed, slammed my head into the pillow, and fell asleep.

Yes, he is jealous. There are a couple twists in this story...some which are...strange. Here is one of them...
Chapter Four: My Mistake
I woke early the next morning, ready for another day of work. I glanced over at Cliff which was sleeping soundly in his bed. I decided to get him back for last night, so I went over to the kitchen and filled a glass with warm water. I put his fingers in it, and sat the glass down on his night stand.
“Sleep tight.” I whispered in his ear. I giggled softly, and went into the bathroom and got changed. I went outside, pulled weeds, collected herbs, and did all my other errands. I walked back onto the farm, and heard a shriek come from inside. I knew my friend, Cliff, had woke up and noticed what he did on the sheet. He popped his head outside, looked around, and then spotted me. He gave me an evil glare, and slammed the door. I burst out laughing, not being able to control myself anymore. A couple minutes later he walked outside with clean clothes on, and went off the farm into town. “Grumpy...” I mumbled under my breath. What was up with his attitude lately anyways? Ever since we came here he has been acting mean, and stupid. Well the mean part is new, but the stupid has always been there. I decided to go inside and wash the sheet myself, feeling guilty at what I had done. I liked this guy...a lot, and look what I do to him! I picked the sheet up by the corner, and threw it in the washer. I heard a soft knock on the door, and went to answer it. I flung the door open, to find Rick. He had a chicken tucked neatly under his arm, and a bag laying on the ground beside him. He smiled at me, and held the chicken out towards me.
“We don’t have enough room for it,” he said. “Would you like it?” I forced a smile onto my face, and took the chicken. I had never had a pet in my life, and now I was stuck taking care of chickens? “Call me later, Shel.” And with that, he waved and left the premises. Why was he calling me Shel? And what do I do with this chicken? I put the chicken on the ground, and went to make a fenced off area for it. Once I was done, I decided to go to the bar to have a drink. I sure needed one. It was about 8:30 when I arrived and most of the guys in town were there.
“Go Karen! ” Ann, and Rick chanted as Karen chugged the huge glass of wine in her hand. Duke was standing beside her, racing to beat her. Karen won and did a butt shaking victory dance. Duke left, cursing loudly at her. I smiled, wanting to have a little fun myself. Karen looked dizzy, so I decided to take her on. I was quickly chugging my bottle, and I could hear a numerous amount of people cheering me on. I could feel Cliff staring at me, just waiting for me to lose. That thought made me drink faster. “Go me, go me! ” I said, after my victory. Karen congratulated me, and stumbled over to a nearby seat. I was obviously drunk at this point, and I talked with Rick, slurring every word I spoke. I broke out into a fit of giggles for no apparent reason, and then lunged at Rick. What am I doing!? I would have liked to stop making out with him on top of the table, but I couldn’t control my drunken body. Everyone had stopped to stare at us, in shock. I felt someone pull me off Rick, and then I fell back against them, and fainted. I rubbed my eyes and sat up, looking around the clinic. I glanced around the room, and spotted Cliff, Elli, and Doctor. “She’s awake! ” the Doctor screeched, running to my side. He felt my forehead, checked my pulse, and then sighed.
“Chill,” I told him, wide eyed. Why were these people so obsessed with me? “I only got drunk.” He rolled his eyes, and walked out of the room leaving Elli, Cliff, and I in there. I weakly smiled at them, starting to feel embarrassed at what had happened a couple hours ago. I wonder what Cliff’s reaction was? Was he jealous?
“You need to stay away from that wine for a while.” Elli giggled, walking over to set a glass of water on my night stand. “You could have at least made out with someone other than Rick. He’s a geek.” I nodded my head in agreement, and took a sip of my water. Cliff sat in a chair in the far corner of the room, and fixed his eyes upon the floor. I wonder what he’s thinking...
“What is your problem?” I blurted out. I couldn’t keep my thoughts bottled up inside forever.
