Chapter Twenty-four: The Escape
"Popuri...will you come down here for a second?" Lillia called. Popuri sighed and got up off the floor, dropping the doll and the scissors. She raced downstairs quickly and started to talk to Lillia. Kai and I got out of the closet and I grabbed Cliff's doll.
"We have to get out of here, right now!" I whispered nervously. "She will be coming back any minute!"
"Okay, let's climb out the window." Kai suggested. "It's not that far down. I've done it before..." I nodded and unlocked the window so I could slide it up. I stuck my head out and looked down. About a 7 feet drop. We heard footsteps coming up the stairs and I climbed out, Kai following. I jumped down, but then we heard a voice at the window.
"How did this get open?" Popuri asked. She shrugged and slammed the window down, causing Kai to let out a scream in pain as his fingers were smashed. Kai wiggled his fingers free and fell to the ground. I grabbed his arm and started to drag him back to the house. I opened the door and found Cliff sitting at the table reading a book. He glanced over and set his book down with his mouth hanging open.
"Shelly? K-Kai?" he stammered. "Shelly you were locked up! And Kai you were..."
"Dead?" Kai finished. "Yeah, everyone seems to be thinking that. I'm not sure why though...the last thing I remember..."
"I'm sure Cliff does not want to hear that story." I said coldly. "Cliff tell me...does this hurt?" I pinched the butt of the doll and Cliff let out a yelp and rubbed his butt. I did it again and he reacted the same.
"Stop it!" he said. "Stop making my butt hurt! Is that a voo-doo doll?"
"Yes, this is what Popuri did to Kai! It was Popuri that did it! She threw Kai's doll against the wall and then stabbed in with a needle! He wasn't dead, just put in a zombie-like state." I exclamied. "It was that brat this whole time! She has tons of dolls in her room..." Something suddenly clicked in my head. "...and mine is still in there." Still clutching Cliff's doll I ran out of the house with Kai and Cliff trailing after me. I burst through the doors of the house to find Popuri sitting at the table writing in her diary. Lillia was still behind the counter.
"Oh, hello Shelly." Popuri said sweetly. "How did you get out of that cage? I thought you were a suspect of Kai's death."
"Popuri, Kai isn't dead." I said. Kai stepped through the door at just the right time and Popuri let out a small scream.
"KAI!" I said. "Oh, I thought you were dead! I was so sad!" She got up off the chair she was sitting in and flung her arms around him. He pushed her away at pointed a finger at her.
"Liar!" he shrieked. "You tried to kill me! With that...voo-doo doll thingy!" She looked offended and started up the stairs.
"Shelly is next." she called back. I stumbled up after her, both guys following at my heels. "Since I can't find the Cliff doll, I might as well just take care of you instead of someone you love and care about." She slammed the door shut and held it there. "Cliff, say bye-bye to Shelly!" Cliff looked over at me with his brown eyes. The two guys started to pound on the door, while I just sat down and waited for my head to be cut off. Kai and Cliff backed up and ran at the door together, which came down at their forceful push.
"Stop!" Cliff yelled. He lunged onto Popuri knocking the doll and scissors out of her hand. "Your not going to hurt anyone, anymore!" He wrestled with Popuri and finally pinned her down. Kai came over and duct taped her mouth and tied some rope around her hands.
"Now, you can go live in the cage...for a long, long time." Kai said happily. "Have fun!" They two guys led her from the room, leaving me there alone. I slowly walked downstairs and followed the to the mayor's house.

Lol, yes. I made him live basically because...I was making moko mad. Well, he lived moko, HE LIVED! And now Kai is going to become friends with Cliff and Shelly.

Sorry Mia, the deal is off then. But PLEASE DON'T KILL CLIFF! I didn't kill Doctor...I just....made him and Elli get engaged...You are so jealous, aren't you? Oh yeah, I'm still against your other idea for Cliff too.

Yes, I am jealous of that no good nurse! LOLOLOLOL! Well you are just going to have to live with it when I kill Cliff! MWAHAHAHAHA! Evil aren't I? Oh and you are sssssoooo jealous of my other idea. The one where Cliff murderes someone, falls in love with Ann, runs off the to city with her, gets married, and has 5 kids? Yeah I noticed you were angry when you kept repeatedly smacking my arm at lunch.
