When I first saw her I was amazed. She had long beautiful golden brown hair, with her gorgeous green eyes. She had a bit of an attitude, but that was the way she was. I loved her with all my heart, and so did she. But soon things took a turn for the worst, and I would have to leave.

“Hi Karen” I said with joy. “Hello, Jack…” Karen sounded like something was on her mind. “What is wrong” I asked with curiosity. “Jack…we have to talk…” said Karen about to cry. “I don’t think I can be with you anymore…” she said. Then she burst out “Rick…Rick proposed to me!” then she burst out crying. “When” I was angry about this. “About a month ago” she was sobbing terribly. “Before…before…I was felling sick…and I went to the clinic…and they said I’m… I ’m…I’m pregnant!” now she was crying more than ever. I had left furiously and had left Karen on the floor crying. I went and bought a ticket for the next ferry. I packed up my stuff and left to the beach. I looked and took one last look of Mineral. I knew I would never come back again. Just then Karen was running yelling my name. She ran up to me and hugged me tightly. “Jack I’m so sorry, I didn’t have a choice.” “I mean I going to have a baby and I didn’t want my baby to grow up without a father. The ferry came to pick me up. Just then she jumped up and kissed me. I pulled her off. “I hope you live a wonderful life” I said. While I was walking away I said to her “Goodbye Karen…” and I was heading towards the boat. “Jack!” Karen yelled. “I Love You!”. That was the last thing I heard from her.
5 years later
I had moved to the city and got a job as a store clerk. I also had met a beautiful young woman named Bloom. She was my one and only. We were so deeply in love. But…I still remembered Karen. I missed seeing her smile everyday. I still hated her for what she did to me though. One day, to my surprise, I received a letter from her. It went like this:
Dear Jack,
I miss you dearly. I never got married to Rick. Jack…I want you home. I also found out the baby was yours. I had a beautiful girl, and everyone says she looks like you. I named her Faith. Like we wanted. Rick was devastated that the baby wasn’t his. Only a few months ago he moved to some far away place. Everyday Faith asks me “Where is daddy?” I hate to lie to her but I tell her he’s away. I want her to know her father. Thomas and the village decided to leave your farm the way it is. Please come visit me. Everyone wants to see you. After all it has been 5 years. Cliff got married to Ann and they had a boy and named him Mathew. Jack I want to see you soon.

One day, I decided to go visit Karen. I boarded the ferry at six and got there at nine. As I got of the boat, I noticed a young girl with light brown hair and blonde bangs. She had a cute yellow dress on and her eyes were green. Then I saw a woman with the same color hair. She looked at me and started to run towards me. She was soon hugging me very tightly. When she looked up at me I saw. It was Karen. Then the little girl ran up to her. “Jack…I would like you to meet your daughter” she said. “Faith, this is your daddy”. I hugged her as if I knew her for a long time. After I said hello to all of Mineral. They even threw a party for my return. I realized I still loved the village, the farm, and Karen. I called my girlfriend and broke it off. I loved to be back.
To this day I live with Karen and my daughter on the farm. Faith is now 16. I still think of what would of happened if I would of stood in the city. I love my life, but most of all…I love Karen.
