Ch 1:The Traveler
When they would ask her why she came to Forget-Me-Not Valley she never had an answer for them. The Valley was a great place to live, but she felt as if she didn’t belong there. The residents all took a liking to her. But she still felt…alone. She had no one to turn to for help, no one to comfort her when she was hurt. Although, Tim and Ruby treated her like there own daughter.
The scenery in the Valley was beautiful. She often went to go see Cody when he was at work painting. She was also fascinated with the dig site. Sometimes she would ask Carter if he would let her have some of his finds, he always said yes. Gustafa was an amazing musician. He played songs that cured your anger and frustration. They kind of sounded like a lullaby. Life in the Valley was perfect. But Nami still felt lonely. On calm nights, Nami went to the beach and thought of her parents and her home. She didn’t know if where she lived was home, or the Valley. She had asked Tim and Ruby how would they feel if she left. They told her they would love it if she stayed for life, but if it would make her happy, it was ok. She couldn’t live in the Inn for much longer. She only had a enough money for one more year. She was running out of options, and quick.

i couldn't help it i had to write another chapterCh 2: The New Guy Nami woke up bright and early that morning, 5:00a.m to be sure. She woke up took a shower, brushed her teeth, and put on some fresh clothes. She decided to skip breakfast; Ruby never woke up that early anyway. She made sure Rock was asleep so he wouldn’t hear her leave. She went outside, it was drizzling a bit, but Nami loved the rain. About half an hour later, the rain stopped. She could see Takura in the distance walking with a young man about her age. Nami was curious and could see them get clearer as they walked. The boy wore blue overalls with a white shirt under. The ends of the pants were tucked into his brown boots. He also wore a red bandana around his neck. He had a pair of red and black gloves on, along with a brown backpack. To Nami, he was a weird boy. He looked like a farmer but she couldn’t really tell. Takakura spotted Nami and said a friendly greeting to her. He also introduced her to the young man. “Nami, I would like you to meet Jack. Jack this is Nami.” Takakura said. “Hi, I am going to be local now, so don’t be a stranger.” Jack said with a kind voice. Nami was still curious about Jack. She new someone would know something about him. The next day Nami woke up early once again. That same morning she went to the beach. Nami sat there with her arms around her legs just deep in thought. “Why does he seem so…mysterious to me. What was that feeling that I felt when I met him? Why did I feel so comfortable around him? Why does he make me feel this way? Why?” Nami thought. The wind blew and her hair flowed with the wind. It was silent. But the silence made it all the better. Nami decided that she should see this “farm”. As she walked around she could see that it wasn’t that bad. It had three fields for crops. What she really loved was the wide open pasture. The house was a decent size. There was also a Cow grazing in the pasture. She noticed a small dog running towards her. She was scared at first, but then noticed the dog liked her. Nami began petting the dog. “That’s Speedy. He was a stray.” Jack had surprised Nami. “I don’t need anything, so just get back to work.” Nami replied coldly. “Whatever you say.” Jack said and began walking. “You are a pretty nice guy after all…” Nami said and left. That night at dinner Nami wanted to talk to Ruby about Jack. “Ruby, where did Jack come from and why?” Nami asked. “Well, his father died about a year ago. Takakura was his father’s best friend. I guess he wanted to try out the farming life. I think he just wanted to know his father.” Ruby told. “Thanks Ruby, I just wondered a lot about him, thank you again” and with that Nami went to sleep.
