Okay, this is a list of stuff that seems to confuse both regular members and staff members. Some of it has been recent issues, others are things that just crop up from time to time. Basicaly speaking, this is my official view on these issues: Double Posting:--Double Posting means to post twice within a very short time limit, and is not the same as bumping. It is perfectly fine to double post sometimes. I do it. But don't make a regular habit out of it; the edit button exists for a reason Bumping Threads:--Never, never, never bump old threads on the following boards: The Bulletin Board, Introductions, Feedback, Harvest Moon Help and Birthday Parties. The threads in these boards can get outdated very quickly. We staff try to do our part by periodically locking old threads on these boards. The Harvest Sprite Hut has a special set of rules. Read the sticky thread on that board. Harvest Moon fanfictions/Non-Harvest Moon fanfictions: please don't bump incomplete stories asking the authors when they will finish. If the story hasn't been updated for months, the author has likely discontinued the story. However, if the story is finished, you may bump it to tell the author how much you loved it. All other boards: No special rules, just use common sense. If you see a thread from last May, in which someone is asking for homework help, don't bump it. Also, when bumping an old thread, please make an extra effort to continue the conversation. Bumping a thread from 2005 just to write LOL is silly. Warning Meter:--The Warning Meter is lowered for good behavior. The rate at which it is lowered depends on both your activty level and your behavior. Let's say for example, three members get warnings for spamming. Member A learns his lesson. He continues to activly post at the forum, but no longer spams. His meter will be lowered. Member B does NOT learn his lesson. He continues to spam. His meter will be raised. If he continues along his path he could get banned! Member C disapears. Maybe she forgot to pay her Internet bill, maybe her computer exploded, maybe she's mad about getting a warning. Either way, she's not around, therefore we have no behavior to judge. The meter neither goes up nor down
I may add more if I think of any, but these are the most important
