Ok I don't know what I did to him but galen hates me. What can I do to make him like me again? I have offered him all kinds of fish, even a giant sharshark. I have made him food. I tried giving him an apple every day for 2 seasons. He won't take anything from me. When he sees me he says ......... oh its you....... when i offer him something he says wow you've got something good there! Im sure its just me but........ and won't take it. Then if i talk to him again he goes ............. ................. then the next time I try to talk to him he says Just leave me alone. Any help would be so appreciated.  |

I had trouble befriending Galen too. Try getting up early and going to his house. (I think around 7am or so).
I forget the exact circumstances, but he will ask you to polish Nina's grave. When you're done, Nina's ghost will appear and he happy with you, which in turn makes Galen happy. It takes a few days but it does work.
N2G, our resident AWL expert, may be able to provide other tips. Hope all goes well!

My guess is, you are in Chapter 2. Nina has died, so for the enitire Chapter, he'll be moping around and not accept gifts. However, you can raise the friendship level a little during this time: Go to his house around 7AM and he should be standing at Nina's grave. Say yes when he asks if you want to clean Nina's grave. You will then enter a mini-game that requires you to press the A button at a not-too-fast pace. If you do well enough (about 70% of the grave cleaned), Nina's ghost will thank you and Galen will be happy as well. So, in other words, Butters was right. You can do this mini-game in Chapters 2-6. I am in "Happy Harvesting" Right now- so I haven't played the tomb washing game in this chapter, yet. I will try it. Also, any tips on what Galen really likes, recipe wise? Thanks for helping me as I am a total newbie to this after being addicted to Animal Crossing for a year and a half. THANKS!

Recipes? Wow, that's hard, lol! I haven't been playing for awhile (i'm a computer addict, LOL) But, it would be a safe bet that he likes any recipes in his house - and there is probably one or two there - Sorry, that's all the help I can give you!

Alrighty, I never figured out what Galen likes; I became his friend by washing Nina's grave a lot. I can't help you with recipes at the moment, seeing as the only ones I know off by heart are Sashimi, Potato Soup, Yam Soup and Carrot Cake, but I can summon up a list in a flash. Just say the word. |

......Galen hates me too.....and I've done the mini game of cleaning Nina's grave one time and then when I come back the next day I can't get him to ask me.....
{basically I've just leave Galen alone...although I do want to befriend him and all...btw does Galen ever die in the game? or is he still around when you get old?
