Some of us guys don't mind the ' girl ' version. Though I did see a slight translation error. When you talk to Doug for the first time ( face to face ), he'll say " You must be that lad that has taken over the farm ". He should have said lass and not lad.

maybe he can't tell the difference.  anyway, my copy is already on its way, but it won't get here till august, cuz my stupid mom took the cheap route and made the shipping days 5 to 10. ;_ ; but i am so excited! finally a girl version has come to the US! |

Well, if you are planning to get ( if they release it for North America ) Harvest Moon for the DS. If you want Ann, Elli, Karen, Mary, and Popuri to visit, you will need to get MFOMT.

if the original version was good enough for both sexes, they wouldn't have made a girl version. besides, you're a guy, so you probably wouldn't play a "girl" game like hm for girls anyway (i'm not saying this for all guys). and you probably don't understand how much girls want to see more female video game characters as well.
sorry, i just get upset when guys diss games that have been given a female character, like pokemon crystal and hm for girls.
