I'm not real sure what to say here. I keep erasing everything I write, because it doesn't sound right.
He had lung cancer and was very, very sick. I know that he's in Heaven now, and isn't sick anymore, but it's hard to deal with. I miss him a lot. I kept waking up last night and each time I did, I'd remember.

#hug2# One of my grandfathers died a while back too... in a different state. I just try to keep in mind that he's not suffering any more.

Thanks everyone. We went to see my grandmother today, and my aunt, two of my uncles and my dad were also there at various points. We looked for some photos for the service and Uncle Gary found Pop-Pop's uniform and medals from when he was in the army

My favorite grandma died when I was 5... it was the worst day of my life. When she was alive, my family kept saying I was her favorite. My grandmother let my parents ground me.. she said that she saw herself in me... I miss her dearly.
I only have my one grandparent left. My great great grandmother who is 97 years old, almost 98. She's on the brink of death though.. losing her senses (sight, hearing..) and all. She'll probably be gone within the next year and then I'll have no grandparents left at all. My mother's parents died young.. mother in her 30s or 40s and her dad in his 50s. Never met them ._.
Your grandfather is in my prayers, Butters. *hugs*

I... I don't know what to say. <=[ I've never had anyone die on me... Not that I was close to, or old enough to remember anyway. =[
I am so sorry... <=[ If you need to talk, or anything, you know I'm always a PM away. <=] #hug2#

#hug2# Sorry to hear your loss Butter. I have only known 3 of my grandparents. I do miss my father's mother, and my mother's father. While I still have my other grandmother, it looks like she is slowly declining in health. Which is somewhat sad, I'm hoping that she will at least live to her 100th birthday ( March 2, 2010 ). While right now she is in good health, she did have a stroke back in 2000. I had to joke with family members when she called me by the names of two of my cousins, and one of my uncle, that maybe I should change my name to having those names along with my birth name. So treasure your memories of him Butter. Like the one thing I put in my second story, "As long as you remember him, he is not truely dead". #hug2#

I'm sorry Butters, I don't know what it's like to lose a Grandparent but my moms friend died about two years ago on halloween. But she was like an aunt to me since she was so close. She was also the victim of cancer. My great uncle died five years ago, which saddened me a lot since I had a lot of good memories of him from when I was a child.
As Border said remember the good memories of him. #hug2#
