It seems a bit early, but I want to give people plenty of time to prepare. How it works: you sign up, and get a randomly selected Secret Santa. You give them a gift. The gift has to be something which can be given via the Internet. Avatars, sigs and fanart are the most popular gifts, but you can give anything! Like to write? Write your Secret Santa a fanfic! Have some extra cash? Buy them an online gift certificate! The gift does not have to be made yourself. If you find a cool avatar at a site and think your Secret Santa would like it, you can certainly give them that. Also, be creative with your gifts! Gifts will be exchanged Dec. 24-31. This is a much longer time than in previous years, so you have plenty of time to get a gift ready! If you anticipate that will not be online at that time, try to get your gift ready early and PM it to a mod. The mod will give the gift to your Secret Santa for you. Please give a gift only to your Secret Santa. In the past some people gave gifts to many people, and while it was a kind gesture, those who did not get an extra gift felt left out. With just a few days until the exchange begins, I'd like to remind everyone of how the gift exchange will work.
On Dec. 24 I will start a thread called Secret Santa Gift Exchange. You will post your gift then (remember to say who your gift is for!). Don't PM your gift to your Secret Santa, otherwise I may not realize you gave a gift. You'll have until Dec. 31 to post your gift. If you signed up for Secret Santa, and don't give someone a gift, your custom title will be changed to Grinch or Scrooge.
