Does anyone have any links to good recipes? The last thing I made was this, but it came out kind of gritty. I want to try making this since it looks pretty good.

Macdogs! I make 'em all the time. ;D
It all started one day when I made some hotdogs for myself, and then realised I was out of ketchup. Spying a package of Easy Mac on the counter, and thinking "Well, if hotdog slices are good in macaroni, why not?"...
The quickest and easiest way to make these for yourself is with Kraft's Easy Mac or a similar product, but if you're making several, it's considerably more efficient to just make a pot of your favorite macaroni and cheese.
Anyway, this is what I do to make two for myself, but you'll probably have to adjust the cooking times for your microwave (mine is a special model with a lot of power, it generally cooks things faster than most).
Prepare the Easy Mac. I generally cook it for about 2:30, but the package recommends a full three minutes.
After leaving the Easy Mac to set (I cook it first to give the cheese time to thicken), put two hotdogs in the microwave for 30 seconds.
After taking the hotdogs out of the microwave, wrap each of them with a slice of american cheese, put them in buns, and cook them for another 30 seconds to melt the cheese.
By now, the Easy Mac should have had time to thicken. Take the hotdogs out of the microwave, put half of the easy mac on one hotdog, half on the other.
You should probably give it a minute or so to cool, then enjoy.

Here's another one, one that is just as tasty as my Macdogs but considerable more heart-friendly: Tuna Salsa
I came up with it one day when I had a near-empty bottle of salsa, and a can of tuna that I had no crackers to eat with. I don't like mayo, and God knows I have enough fat in my diet even if I did, so tuna salad is a nono for me.
This is much better for you anyway. Put this on some bread, and you'll get all of the protein of tuna with none of the fat in mayonaise.
Anyway, you basically make it the same way you would tuna salad: put some tuna in a bowl or large cup (after draining it, if it's canned), add just a little salt, but then instead of mayonaise, mix in some salsa instead. I mix in about the same amount of each: if you use a whole can of tuna (about 1/4 cup), mix in about 1/4 cup of salsa.
Picante salsa works best, because you'll need quite a bit of juice to mix it in right. I use Pace's mild picante, but you can use whatever you like.
If you like chopped celery with your tuna (I don't, but knock yourself out), go ahead and mix some in if you like.
That's basically it.
It can be eaten in a variety of ways: on bread in the form of a sandwich (try toasting the bread, it's good that way! Batch of tuna salsa makes about two sandwiches' worth), on crackers, or with salsa chips as a dip.

Anyone have a good recipe for apple pie? Yeah. Go to McDonald's. ;D Seriously though, unless you buy premade crusts, pies are hard.

I usually buy pre-made crusts anyway, so that's not a problem.

I completely forgot about this thread, so I'm bumping it because I've been cooking a lot lately and also have a problem. The other day I made these bran muffins. Since I was planning on making mini muffins to freeze I halved it. Big mistake on my part since even by halving it I ended up with one dozen giant muffins and nearly four dozen mini ones. The comments had a lot of good advice: use less baking soda and a bit of baking powder, use applesauce instead of shortening, skip the raisin bran, and use less sugar. I did that and they turned out really good, though using cups was a mistake since the paper stuck for the first day. Now for the problem: trying to come up with ideas for lunch. What do you usually have? I'm trying to eat healthier by cutting back sodium, so I've been trying to avoid bread since it's loaded with salt. >_<

No-Bake Cheesecake
1 8oz package cream cheese, softened 1 8oz tub Cool Whip, softened 1 jar hot fudge 1 pre-made Graham cracker pie crust vanilla extract sugar
Combine cream cheese and cool whip with an electric mixer, add vanilla and sugar to taste. I don't measure them, but it's around a tablespoon of vanilla and about 1/4 cup sugar, maybe. Heat up the hot fudge according to the directions on the jar and spoon some into the pie crust, covering the bottoms and the sides. Spoon cream cheese mixture on top.
You can add fruit, such as strawberries or cherries. I frequently use a chocolate pre-made crust, rather than a Graham cracker one.
