Magnus laughs. "Hardly. I grew up in Port Magellan, a small college town to the north of here. Nah, I'm just passing through, seeing what I can while I write my book. It's pretty nice here though, so I'm thinking I might stay for a little while."
Standing up, Magnus grabs his notebook, pen, and bag from the table he'd been sitting at. He places them back down by Molly's table, and sits down again.
"Fishing, huh... rough trade, even for someone as young as you seem to be. I assume you enjoy it, though..."

Jacob looks around to see that the man who has been staring at him has packed up his case. He looks around to see that Ann and Doug havent really returned.
He goes into the kitchen. To find Doug passed out on the floor. Ann over the pot putting in random things.
" Ann stop, here ill make the food, you take the orders of the costomers. But first put your father into his bed"
He goes to the sink and washes his hands puts a hair net on and starts making a big pot of the specail that day it happens to be Ulimate Curry.

Ann put Doug in his bed. "Dad, you shouldn't overwork yourself," she scolded gently, and kissed him on the forehead. "You're burning up. I'll ask Cliff to take you to the doctor. I can't leave the Inn right now,"
Doug nodded weakly and Ann hurried out of the room, her sneakered feet apdding gently on the wooden floor. She banged on the door of Cliff's room, but there was no answer. After a minute, she opened it and saw that the room was empty.
"Darn it," Ann muttered. She ran back to the kitchen. "Jacob! Jacob, you have to take care of those guests. I have to get dad to the clinic."

Magnus thought for a while, and realized that he was actually kind of hungry.
"I'll have some Coca-cola, for starters," he says, not even bothering to check a menu. "And what's the special today?"

"Ulimate curry is the specail today." He responds as he writes down coca cola on the order form.

Magnus thinks about this for a while, and quietly dismisses it.
"I'll just have the red curry, as usual."

"I am starving!" Molly said. "I'll have a sandwich and an omelet and some cheesecake for dessert. Oh and just milk to drink."

Magnus raised his eyebrow at the order, but didn't say anything. He was 27, and this girl couldn't be much older than 18. Besides, what she did for a living burned calories. He'd just sit back, enjoy some company with his meal for a change, and hope that the busboy could cook.

Jacob writes down the orders " Alright I'll try to get them out to your table as soon as possible, Enjoy your stay at Mineral town inn ."
He then walks to the back and starts preparing the food.

"Hey, don't look at me like that," Molly said to Magnus with a frown. "I've spent the last few days on my boat, traveling from my home to Mineral Town. I misjudged how much food to bring and I haven't eaten since yesterday morning."
Just then Ann came back downstairs; she gave them a quick wave before rushing out the door.
"Who was that?: Molly asked.

"The cute redhead that just ran out the door? That would've been Ann, the innkeeper's daughter."
Magnus sighed, and looked up at the ceiling. "Almost a pity that she's married, really. Then again, her husband's a pretty good guy. A lady could do a lot worse..."
And with that, Magnus took out his pen and notepad again, and began writing.

"Whatcha writin'?" Molly asked, craning her neck to see. "Is that a diary? Or a novel?"

"Supposedly, a novel," Magnus replies absently. He picks up his notepad, making sure to block the view of his table companion with it.
With any luck, his food would arrive shortly.

Molly was good at taking hints and she craned her neck further to see the notebook her companion had hidden from her view. She actually reached out as if to take it, but caught sight of Magnus's face and withdrew her hand.
