Is there any strange button combo to get money or anything in Harvest Moon MM for GC?

I don't know of any cheat codes, but the easiest way to make money in MM is to cook everything. Most veggies have a simple one-ingredient dish you can cook using the knife set or frying pan. You can cook most of the fish you catch (either on the fire or use the knife set to make sashimi). I like to buy the pot early on and use that to make jam from the various seasonal berries.

There aren't really any cheats in Harvest Moon games. And while there's usually a beneficial glitch or two in the earlier titles, I think MM was pretty well ironed-out...

Yeah, on the Game Cube the only one I know of is in AnWL. Most of the new games can't be cheated, glitched, or even easily exploited...

I know FoMT is Action Replay compatible. I'm not sure which version, though. The one I've seen it used with dates somewhere between 2003-2004.
I loaned the game to a friend that had one (I was actually the one that gave him the AR, long story), and before he gave it back, he showed me how he had used it to pretty much unlock everything in the game. All the best tools, the biggest house with several modifications, the extra houses, I think he even had the Harvest Goddess at red heart. He wasn't married to anyone, oddly enough.
