Okay, I have borrowed a copy of the game Pokemon White 2. I have been playing it for the last couple of weeks. Once again, I beat the elite 4, and the champion. So, how did I like the game?
Actually, I REALLY liked the game! I haven't had this much fun playing a Pokemon game since Pokemon Gold/Silver. I enjoyed myself so much, that I bought a copy of Pokemon Black version 2 for myself. The games really did something good (they did goof up on a couple of things, but the good things pulled through).
Allow me to list the things they did right:
Better Pokemon Roster
The number of Pokemon in these games are unreal! With 300 Pokemon to choose from, there is no way someone can't find one they like. Pokemon from the past Generations also make an appearance to complete the family. The Pokemon they added to this game are only the best of the 4 versions plus over a hundred brand new never before seen Pokemon. I appreciate the idea to catch my favorite Pokemon Eevee in the wild early in the game instead of only getting one in some random point in the game.
No Grinding
Leveling up is always hard work, but it's not grinding like in earlier games. The game does try to push you forward by making lower level Pokemon grand lower exp as you level. But Audino gives a hell of a lot of XP compared to others. I got to the Elite 4 at optimal level without grinding for 15 levels per pokemon like in Gen 4.
Your character has a career!
In the game, your character not only becomes an actor, but also a manager of an entire avenue. This is by far so much better than just being an unemployed pokemon trainer. You don't actually get money for working your job, but the benefits of acting and managing Join avenue is astounding. I hope we see more of this in Gen 6.
Balanced move set.
My favorite Pokemon and the newcomers learn a wide set of moves. My favorite Fire Pokemon Arcanine learns so much nicer moves than the last time I owned one back in Kanto. This gives me great excitement to train and battle the hordes of NPC's in the games.
Interesting Story.
I skipped Black and white, so I have no idea of the events of those games. But that's okay! Playing Black 2 and White 2 without it's previous games only made the story much more interesting. Now that I am in the shoes of a trainer who doesn't know what happened 2 years ago in Unova, Breaking apart the clues and learning what happened made me care more about the events of this game. I wanted to learn more about the trainer named "N", and how the Pokemon trio Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem are related. The whole "Save the pokemon from their Pokeballs" story sounds lame, and since I rarely hear about it in this game, I can enjoy the ideas and theology behind the remnants of the "Good Team Plasma" and "Evil Team Plasma".
In conclusion, I am not saying that this game is perfect (Then again, none of them are). But this game has got to be my second favorite behind Generation 2. I hear that Black and White are not that great of games, but they pulled the game's potential in Black 2 and White 2. I have decided to train some super Pokemon (Breed & EV train) so when X and Y comes out, I can battle with Pokemon I can be proud of.
Finally, I can embrace my friends once again.

I was actually a little disappointed by BW2. There's not a lot of new stuff compared to BW and while you can catch older gen Pokemon in the wild, there are no new Pokemon (except maybe some Legendaries and Event Pokemon). There are only a few new characters and while there are a few new towns and areas to explore, most of the game is set in the same areas as the first games.
I didn't properly enjoy it until I challenged myself by doing it as a Nuzlocke
