I'm only like, three weeks in, so my opinions might change, but so far so good. I keep wanting to compare TLV to other HM games, which is kind of...unfair? IDK. I also haven't really played Minecraft, which this game is also being compared to. Anyway... {Spoiler}-The valley is huge! @_@ You know how big the SNES field was? That's peanuts compared to your valley.
-the camera angle gets wonky at times. It's easy to fix though, but it can be annoying
-not having to switch out tools is pretty neat, but if you don't pay attention, you can fertilize crops by accident.
-terraforming is pretty neat. Again, I haven't played minecraft (aside from trying a demo version for a few mnutes), so I don't know how similar it is, but in TLV, it is pretty fun and addicting. I've spent entire in game days happily building stair cases to different areas.
-there's no town to visit. Instead characters visit the valley and set up shop on your property. Kind of weird. You also can't give them gifts, it seems. You raise friendship by talking to them and completing their requests.
-although you start off with only a few characters to interact with, they move in regularly and at a faster pace than say, ANB or IoH. I know I'm comparing apples and oranges, but yeah.
-so far, I like the characters. Sam and Doc are great quirky characters. Tony is my least favorite character.
