Okay, here's a stupid question... how do I buy medicine in HM64?
The ranch shop doesn't have it on display, I can't get it by talking to Doug, the old guy's medicine doesn't work, and I can't find it in any of the other shops. Every guide I've read insists that the ranch shop has it, but maybe I haven't triggered an event or something? Is this a glitch?

Is it on the menu where you buy the animals?
Wait, sorry, I'm a dope. Doug sells it. It's on the back wall next to the miracle potion

Huh.
I'm honestly drawing a blank here. There's only one thing I can think of: do you own a cow or sheep, yet? Medicine might not unlock till you own one?

Ah, there's your problem. Only thing you need to do about chickens is keep them inside and make sure they're fed. They pay for themselves easily otherwise.

I did that, and it still got sick. I'm just gonna sell it. Hopefully, the medicine will appear when I get a cow.

Chickens only get sick when you forget to feed them, and will recover after a day or two of proper feeding.

I might have missed a feeding, but I fed it for at least three days straight after that.

Are you putting the food in the correct spot? Each hen has her own spot, so if you're randomly putting food in, say, the 3rd or 4th spot, she won't eat. You can check the names in front

As someone who owns their own laying flock of 13, with 40 more growing, that is not even REMOTELY realistic. Chickens give no fricks whose dish is whose. Food is food, and anyone who gets to it first gets it.
