Chapter Twenty-two: Confession

After Karen and Popuri left I went out into the other room and saw Cliff sleeping on one of the couches. Doc and Elli were both in the kitchen eating, so I decided to do a little research. I got on Doc's computer and did a search engine on 'baby names.'

"Hmm, Melanie and Mya are good names for girls." I said scrolling down the list. "And I really like Brandon, and Blake for boy names..." I scrolled down a little more and looked at the names.

"What are you doing on Doc's computer?" Cliff asked, leaning against the wall. I froze with my mouth open. Cliff came over but I quickly exited out of the website. "Why were you looking at baby names?" I obviously hadn't exited out quick enough.

"I-I was looking at names for our..." I started. "...New cows! Yeah, that's it! I was thinking about buying some more cows!" He looked startled and the surprised look never left his face.

"Are you sure that is why?" he asked suspiciously. I swallowed hard, and tried to inch away.

"I-I...oh..." I felt sick again and ran for the bathroom. "God, I hate being pregnant..." I mumbled to myself after I was done throwing up. I walked back out and Cliff was waiting there for me. Doc and Elli came out of the kitchen.

"Oh dear, did you get sick again?" Elli asked. "Well you might as well get used to it..."

"ELLI!" I said angrily. I nodded towards Cliff and she covered her mouth with her hand and giggled. "Sorry for interuptting."

Okay Mel..." Cliff started. "I've finally put everything together. There is something in your stomach, you are having mood swings which scare me, you are throwing up, and you ate everything in their refriderator." he crossed his arms and added, "And you are looking baby named up on the computer." I sighed and gave up on keeping this a secret.

"Okay Cliff, you wanted to know so I'm going to tell you." I started. Elli and Doc went to sit on a couch and watch us talk this over. "I'm pregnant okay? With twins." Cliff stood there for a second and then started pacing around the room.

Why didn't you just tell me sooner?" he asked. He looked hurt and confused, but yet so adorable.

"Because we aren't even married yet Cliff. I'm pregnant with our kids and we aren't married!" I said. I crossed my arms and watched him pace. "I thought you would freak out and go crazy. And I also thought if I told you, it might get in the way of our relationship..."

"Why would it Mel?" he stopped pacing and looked at me. "It wouldn't have gotten in the way, because I love you, remember?" he came over and put his hands on my shoulder and looked me in the eyes. "You carrying my kids wouldn't matter because we would have gotten married anyways. We are going to get married, and that's a promise." He smiled at me, and I smiled at him.

"Aww, am I going to be invited?" Elli asked from her seat on the couch. I shot Elli a glare.

"Can you not see that we were having a romantic moment?" I asked angrily. Elli laughed nervously and shrugged. I looked back at Cliff and we kissed.

Yeah he is sweet, and LOL you though sthingy was a northern term? Sorry I just think it's funny. Yeah, the people up north are a little strange, but not that strange. ^_^ I don't know why but it blocked it out because of the censored words...but I changed it so now I can type "spoon" without it changing. ^_^

Yeah I know, last night I was laying in bed and re-reading what I had just printed and it was like 2:00 in the morning. Then I read it and I thought, That's weird... so I rubbed my eyes to try and see it right and I started cracking up. I wouldn't stop laughing...and then I remember I posted it on here like that and then I was like I'm such an idiot...I hope no one notices... But of course you all did! ^_^

Oh, turns out the last chapter was on this page...Lol, I'm stupid...here is more! It's just kind of a boring chapter...but oh well. I'm rushing it a bit too much...because I'm eager to get started on the sequel...maybe to eager. ^_^

Chapter Twenty-three: Proposal

After Cliff and I broke apart I looked over at Elli and said, "To answer your question, yes, you will be invited." She smiled and got off the couch to hug me tightly.

"Elli...my ribs..." I gasped. She let go and smiled innocently.

"Sorry Melody." she said. She then grabbed my arm and dragged me bag into the examination room and made me lay down to sleep. "Now you rest okay?"

"But I'm hungry..." I whined. "I want food. I want cheese, pickles, watermelon, and ice cream." I said. I crossed my arms and looked at her.

"Now Melody, you really need to rest..." she said, hervoice trailing off at the look on my face.

"GET ME SOME FOOD NOW BEFORE I..." But I didn't finish because Elli was already running to the kitchen. She came back to the room with everything I listed off, and set in on the table near my bed. "Thank you Elli."

"No problem..." she mumbled back. She walked out of the room and Cliff walked in.

"Hungry again?" he laughed. "God, I'm going to have to stock up our refridgerator before you come home! If I don't you might turn into a caniball and eat me..." I started to laugh as I chowed down on the jar of pickles. "Oh, by the way I wanted to do this." Cliff came over and knelt beside me. I set the jar on the table and watched as he took out a blue feather. "Melody, will you marry me?"

"Of course!" I squealed. I took the blue feather and he got up and we kissed. "Aww, your so sweet Cliffie!"

"I know, aren't I?" he teased. "Well, I probably shouldn't keep you from eating..." he said. "Love you, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Love you too, Cliffie." I smiled and started on the ice cream. Once Cliff was gone, Gray came in. "Oh, hello Gray." I said with a full mouth.

"Uh, how are you feeling?" Gray asked. He looked slightly confused at why I was eating so much. I nodded, hinting that I was better. "God, you sure are a pig..."

"YOU ARE JUST LIKE POPURI!" I yelled. "I AM NOT A PIG, YOU COW!" Gray's eyes widened and he looked quite alarmed.

"Sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to offend you!" he apologized. "So what's up with all the food anyways?" he asked, eyeing me. "Hey your starting to get fat..." I glared at him and he shut his mouth.

"TAKE THAT BACK! I AM NOT FAT..." I screamed. Wow, Melody, control yourself. Way to many mood swings... I looked down and noticed I was getting fat. "No, the fatness is coming! IT'S COMING!" Doc popped his head in the room and said, "Yes that is quite normal for someone carrying twins." I started to blush and glanced over at Gray who's mouth was hanging open.

"Holy crap!" he exclaimed. "Your having twins? But who is the father?"

"Cliff." I said simply. "Who did you think, dummy? I wouldn't cheat on him."

"But you two aren't married yet!" he said. I took the blue feather off the table it was on and waved it in the air. "Cool, congratulations! That reminnds me of why I came here..." he looked around the room and sat there for a second.

"Yeah...?" I asked anxiously. He blushed and smiled.

"I'm getting married too." he said softly. I about had a heart attack. My mouth fell open and I slammed the box of ice cream on the table.

"CONGRATULATIONS! WHO ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED TO?" I asked excitedly. "Who is it?"

"Popuri." he answered. "She is wonderful. I was wondering if you would come to the wedding on the 25th of Fall?" I nodded insanely and asked, "Will you come to mine too? I'll tell you when in it, once we get a date set!" he nodded also, and we smiled.

"Well, I better be going." he said, walking to the doorway of the room. "Take care, of all three of you. And don't forget Cliff too." I smiled and watched him walk out of the room.

Oh, okay! Thank you. ^_^ I am waiting to do the sequel...Can't wait much longer... *squirms uncomfortably in seat* I MUST FINISH THIS SOON! Yes, the 27th chapter is the last. Maybe the 28th...

Lol, it's going to be called...Melanie: Sequel to Melody...I can't think of a better name...can you? Please, tell me if you do...I know something that is going to happen in the sequel that you don't. NANANANANANA!

YUP! I also used the name in another story...ahh...I think it was Living in a Fairy Tale. That story scares me...it was my friends idea...all her ideas scare me...
