Ch. 9- Running Away
Sobbing, I pushed my clothes and my videos in my bag, with my feet. I left Ella Enchanted, because it would remind me of Cliff. I cried hard. I loved this place, but it didn’t love me. I put the last of my things in the bag.
My mind was crowded thoughts and memories of Cliff. I cried harder. Then I heard a sound behind me and someone put their hand on my shoulder. I turned around and there stood Cliff.
“Nikki?” He asked softly. “Nikki, I believe you. Don’t go away” “Thanks, but I still have to go.” I said sadly. Cliff’s face lit up with an idea. “You can stay here; I’ll keep renting the room. The door could be locked in the day, and we would go out at night. We could even marry in secret.”
My heart was saying yes, yes, yes, but I knew I had to say no. I stopped crying, kneeled down; the bag fell on my shoulder. “No.” I said. “The girls would find out, and I’d be in more trouble.” I turned around, wishing I didn’t have to leave.
Cliff caught my shoulder. “Please stay.” He pleaded. “No!” I shouted, freeing my shoulder, raced out the door, slammed the door, and ran out of the inn.

Ch. 10- Someone Cares
I ran to the beach, asked directions, went to the airport, where I bought a ticket to California, were my dad was. I never thought of him ever since I got bitten. I silently got on the plane.
I looked over what was formerly my home, Mineral Town. I thought I saw Ann in the distance. It didn’t matter. I started crying again. The plane started getting ready to take off and two people, a boy and a girl holding hands, sat in the seats next to me.
I thought of me and Cliff again, but fought back the tears. Suddenly the plane stopped, and the power turned off. “What the-?” I looked out the window, and saw two people.
They were cheering, and dancing around. “Cliff and Mary.” I said, now crying once again, but these were tears of happiness. I went out of the plane and jumped into Cliff’s arms.
Our lips touched again, but this time it was of true love. Right then and there, I knew I did have a place here, and I was not hated. I knew I would become friends with the other girls again.
Mary smiled at me. I promised them I wouldn’t do that again (Ten times to Cliff). We walked back to the inn, the three of us. I also knew something else. I was loved, and I was not a freak.

Ch. 11- A Party
When we walked in, Elli and Popuri came up to me first thing, and apologized. I accepted, and they became my friends. Karen gave in, and admitted she was only in the whole hate-me episode because of Ann. I knew Ann would never be my friend. Then Popuri cried, “Lets have a PARTY!”
We all cheered and began set up. Cliff called out to have the party for me. Everybody agreed. Ann wasn’t invited. When the decorations were up, the doors opened and the other boys came in. Cliff came and greeted them. I only knew Kai, so I met the others. They were Rick, Gray, and Tim. Each smiled at me. Gray whispered, “you’re lucky." to Cliff, and Mary gave him an elbow nudge. Rick was with Karen(surprisingly). He smiled HUGELY at me, and Karen and I giggled. Kai next, he kissed me lightly on the check and I blushed. He too probably thought Cliff was lucky to have me. Tim, with Elli, smiled at me and Elli whispered to me that she told him all about me. “Let’s go!” I shouted.
Mary whipped out a notebook and set it down. “Let’s eat first, and write ideas on this.” She said. We jumped up, and ran to Doug. Of course, the boys paid.
We were finished quickly (I was helped). All during lunch at some time everyone went to write. Cliff and Kai went several times, each switching off helping me. Now I looked the list:
Truth or Dare: Kai, Cliff, Karen, Grey, Elli, Popuri
Spin the Bottle: Tim, Cliff, Grey, Kai, Rick, Elli, Mary, Popuri, Karen
Tag (Who wrote that?): Popuri
Telephone (That too?): Mary
Just talk: Karen, Rick, Elli, Kai
Make up a game: Mary, Popuri
Go get Ann: Cliff, Kai, Karen, Grey
I giggled, and we crossed out some things. “Truth or Dare, Spin the Bottle, just talk, and go get Ann are our games.” Cliff announced. Truth or Dare went quickly, talking too. In Spin the Bottle I kissed Cliff, Gray, and Kai (he stopped the bottle on me on purpose!). Ann, sulking knowing she wasn’t invited, played her boom box as loud as she could to interrupt us. What she didn’t know was we were coming to get her.

*turns head* Told you, you reget giving Cliff to me. Well, you're not getting story out of me! *walks away* Cliff: Hey! Come back! Me: *ignores*Stop playing me! Go back with your "Love", farmergrl0139 You can take him with you. I don't want him. If this...game character...named Cliff...is causing us to fight or pretend to fight...or fight jokingly...which ever one it is...I don't want him. I can't even tell if you're serious or joking...because I can't see you through the computer! So...sorry if you're not joking! Nice chapter, by the way. |

Ch. 12-War, 10 against 1
Ann lay angrily on her bed. Her friends betrayed her! And now Nikki was getting Cliff again. At least they could have invited her to the party. ‘Nikki has to go.’ She thought. Ann figured a plan. She would crash the party and get Nikki, then swim across the lake, and hide Nikki in the mine. Then-
She heard a sound. She looked around and shrugged.
We were outside, waiting. “Ok, everyone knows what to do?” I asked quietly. They nodded. “Revenge, finally for all of us!” Cliff whispered. Popuri tried the door. “Unlocked.” Popuri said satisfactly. “Ready….. Set…….. Go!” I cried. Everyone raced in. Ann jumped up. She knocked Mary, Popuri, Elli, and Rick down first. They went out, which left 6 of us. Karen and Cliff got the first punches. Ann got Gray, and Kai ran out after Popuri. That left 4 of us. Tim decided to help the hurt and left. I lunged at Ann and hurt every bit of her I could. She rolled out of the way, but Karen caught her. “Cliff.” Ann pleaded. Cliff shook his head. “One sec Karen.” Cliff said. “Let Nikki." I nodded, and went up to Ann. “Please Nikki.” Ann asked. I slammed my foot into her stomach. Karen let go of Ann and Ann fell to the floor. Cliff stepped on her fingers as he walked out. Karen followed. I frowned down at Ann, and walked out too.
