Military Ranch
~Part 1
Kevin was still a boy when he was forced to join the Military. Being the best shooter in his group, Group 24, Kevin angers the most mates in the group. When Kevin gets promoted, he faces with more dangerous missions and he also has to handle a bunch of rowdy boys. Will Kevin ever get out of this mess?

Characters:
~Part 1
Kevin~
A young boy who's heart is full of love. He is the sharpest shooter and the most obedient and trusting guy in Group 24. Even if his parents "died", he is still brave enough to face his mates and can succeed any mission without a doubt. Having a crush on Piette makes him lose his mind at his tent.
Rock~
A boy from the other side of the war. They became best friends but are often seperated because of the war of their lands. He hardly follows what people ask of him to do but has a very very big heart and trust's anyone. Having a crush on Piette makes him lose his mind at his tent.
Tico~
A boy that is positioned as the leader of Group 24. He is hardly nice and wants to have ultimate power. He gangs up on the weak ones of the group but Kevin is always there to stop Tico from hurting them.
Ted & Ned~
Twins who joined the war alongside Group 24. They both side with Tico because of the benefits they get. But they actually feel wrong about this and often object against Tico's ideas.
Captain~ (This is his real name you know)
Captain is the adult captain of Group 24. Captain actually wants Kevin to be leader but is not allowed to by the order of the General, Tico's father. He actually has a warm personality but hides it.
Piette~
Piette is the only girl in camp. She finds herself befriending her camp-mate, Kevin. She has a cool personality which her eyes show.

Chapter 1
~Routines
At the time of bloodshed, I wasn't one of those kids who was brought to trains and sent to faraway lands. No, I was one of those kids who were unlucky enough to get into the army. My father and mother signed me up and
left the town forever. I knew they would just leave me here and never come back. I scarcely remember them. The story of my childhood. Sad yet sweet. The sad moments of my abuse and the sweet moments when i'm with my only friend.
"Kevin!!!" A big burly man called out to him "Tardiness is not an answer! Now give 100 push-ups! Or better yet, sit-ups!"
Yep, this is how every other day started. 100 sit-ups but the next day would 100 push-ups with one arm. I glanced at our group's Adult Captain. He glared at me and I went back to my sit-ups.
"Today! We will take the obstacle course. This time, I want you to beat the highscore of my best student here, Tico! Unlike all of you, he's got the wits of wits and the fast of fast! Now line up! You too, Kevin." They marched away towards the obstacle course outside the stuffy and dirty tent.
Even outside, Kevin didn't think it smelled any fresher. He shook his dirty brown hair and straightened his pants. He knew he could beat it this time. He strapped up his gloves. He could beat it! He buckled his boots. He'll go a mile away from the record time!
GO!!!!! Kevin scooted down and went carefully but swiftly through the barbed wire ontop of him. He crawled the muddy path, he climbed the fake rocky mountain, he shot the target pad. But he was still behind Tico, his worst enemy. And stop. Tico breaking his own record time and Kevin not being noticed, again. Don't forget Sleifer being scolded, again.
The day ended and they were sent to their tents. Kevin shared his tent with Piette. Actually, Piette was the only girl in camp. Kevin actually has a crush on her and gets embarrassed near her, which was every day.
"Hey Piette, g-good score on the obstacle course" Kevin was red but he was turned away.
"You too" Piette had short red hair and wore the boy's soldier costume. Her light blue eyes were drowsy-like which made her look mysterious. "You where a real chap out there. Sorry you didn't make the highscore"
"No big deal. It's just Tico that bugs me" He was crimson now. He didn't know that Piette would care that much.
"Hey, not my fault he's such a big head." Piette made sounds of a balloon being inflated "When it gets to big, FSSSSSH. Sudden drops, POP!"
They giggle at their own thoughts. Kevin was looking away which made Piette mad. "There something on my face?" Piette held Kevin's face and twisted it back "Yipes! You're burning hot"
This time Kevin was really hot. Blood colored to be exact "Good night! Sorry but i'm just a little sick. It's okay"
"Whatever you say but here" Piette stripped of her blanket from her cot "You can have mine. Though you're hot. You feel colder than usual"
Actually, Kevin was numb. This happens once every 2 weeks. This was how Kevin's routine goes.

Awesome so far. I think it's really cool.
Piette comparing Tico to a balloon was funny.

Chapter 3 ~Terribly Wrong "Aw... Poor little Kevin! Can't even a least bit of attention" A boy with hair put up straight back (think Phoenix Wright w/o the spiky. something like Shea) "Really? Is that all you do all day. You waste your whole breakfast teasing Kevin? Well bye, losers" Piette pushed me away from the twins. Now we were being bullied by Ned & Ted. They were like Tico's bodyguards. They just help in the teasing but today, Tico has some important business and Ned & Ted are fulltime. The only way to tell them apart is the streak in the left side of their hair. Ned's is purple and Ted's is blue. "Aw... Poor Kevin! Even has is girl protecting him. How sweet!" they chorused. It was Piette's time to blush "I'm not his girlfriend! Let's go, Kevin" Piette grabbed me and my lunch just flew out of my lap like buttermilk and we were off to the camp. What the heck happened? Back to the tent. Piette stayed in one corner and she finished her lunch, which was protected. While my lunch... Yeah... pretty unfortunate...  Anyways Piette was REALLY angry so I quietly leave the tent and wander around the woods. The woods was real quiet except for a few early crickets. I looked at all the nature and stuff and continued to walk. Then I came to a beatiful secret garden. I saw Captain sitting on a big flat rock and he was holding something up to his chest. A pretty flower from the garden and a photo. I come closer and stare more harder. I see that Captain is crying, which is most unusual. I come closer to Captain, this time not trying to hide, and sat slowly beside the weeping captain. He took one good look at me and straightened himself up and said coldly "Didn't I tell you to not leave the camp unless the captain tells you too!" After that short blab of words, he burst into tears "Captain, you can't hide it anymore. Tell me all about it. I'll understand!" Kevin put up his dirty little glove-clad hand and patted the captain "What's the matter?" The captain stopped crying and showed Kevin the picture "Today is the...*sniff* anniversary of me and my dearest but she...*sniffles* died 2 years ago. I stay here every anniversary thinking how my dearest is doing but after that tragic bombing...*sniffelette*I really can't stop thinking about her!!!*sniff bawls (sniff bombs actually)*" "How can you go on like this!!!" Kevin stood up and commanded "Get up!!! Your "dearest" is watching you from above. Didn't you ever think that!!! My is she disappointed in you" The captain gets up and hugs Kevin still in tears "Oh, Kevin. You're right. I'm always showing off and stuff but i'm just a..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Heres the end. Next chapter coming soon!!! |
