Moko mentioned this on the Sopha, but I thought it should get its own thread. Here's a link. I'm looking forward to this. The Gold/Silver games were my favorite (Well, techinally Crystal) games in the series for a long time. I'll be buying this for sure  |

yes, i am definitely buying this. silver still remains to be my favorite pokemon game (though platinum is giving it a run for its money).
sadly, my pokemon crystal's battery died (a common occurrence among old gsc games), rendering it unplayable, so i've been afraid to play my silver, in case it's died, too. <_<' but with heart gold and soul silver, i won't have to worry about that because of the internal clock in the ds! ^-^
anyway, i loved the gsc trilogy, so i can't wait until more info is released about the new games. i'm especially excited for new character art. X3

I'm either getting both, or waiting till the Crystal remake. This was the best series ever and it was for a good reason. It was actually LONG and HARD. Plus you got to fight Ash and Gary (Red and Blue in Japan). You just can't beat that.

You just can't beat that. considering there was no yellow remake, chances are, there's gonna be no crystal remake. =/ most people are speculating the remakes are gonna have some of crystal's elements incorporated into them, though. and, actually, you're wrong about the names. ash and gary are the anime names only, just like satoshi and shigeru (their japanese counterparts). in the U.S., their in-game names are red and blue, while in japan, they're named red and green. edit: pokemone sunday showed footage of the game, so now we've got screenshots! www.giantbomb.com/pokemon-heart-goldsoul-silver/61-26372/all-images/52-323705/1zq3675/51-971155/?offset=0looks like your pokemon follows you around, like in yellow! |

YEA! I enjoyed that feature in Yellow! It looks cute, I can't wait. Silver was my favorite as well, it was so fun the first time they changed everything so much. Crystal kind of seemed repetitive to me, but that's my feelings.

D: GAMEFREAK, YOU DISAPPOINT ME. anyways, gold's new design isn't that bad, in my opinion, though, i have to say, i am not liking his new pants. at all. the new girl is kinda cute, but i do not like her poofy hat, and i'm not too fond of her outfit either. =/ starters also seem to follow you around in other towns, so it looks like a feature for the whole game. |

i dunno, i think the new girl could grow on me, but it REALLY bothers me that she doesn't match gold at all. she just looks so out of place. but i'm still disappointed about the absence of crystal. no crystalxsilver for me.  i understand that crystal technically wasn't in gold and silver, but she was still the female mascot of the second generation. i just feel she deserved a redesign like the others. =/ i mean, she does signify an important turning point in the series: when girls became playable. |
